The 991 generation Porsche GT3 was introduced in 2013 as the first GT3 to be equipped with a Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) double-clutch transmission and featured a new 3.8-liter flat-six engine. This 2014 example is finished in White over a Black leather and Alcantara interior. It was configured at an original sticker price of over $153k including optional ceramic brakes (PCCB), the Front Axle Lift System, a Sport Chrono clock, the Carbon Interior Package, seatbelts in Speed Yellow, instrument dials in White, door sills in carbon fiber, black painted wheels, and more. It has also been fitted with an upgraded Soul performance exhaust system. Supported by recent service and an extended engine warranty, this GT3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania while showing approximately 24k miles on the odometer.

This GT3 is finished in White and features optional bi-xenon headlights in black, clear glass taillights, yellow ceramic brake calipers, and black painted 20” GT3 center-lock wheels. Other features include a front spoiler, side skirts, a fixed rear wing, and dual center-mounted tailpipes. The car rides on a set of Michelin tires that were mounted about 5 years ago and are said to remain in very good condition as the car was mostly driven with a different set of wheels and tires. The exterior is described to be well preserved apart from some signs of road-going wear on the rocker panels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this GT3 features Black leather and Alcantara upholstery complemented by optional Carbon Interior Package trim as well as a carbon fiber center console and door sills, Speed Yellow seatbelts, White instrument dials, and a Sport Chrono clock mounted on the dashboard. Other options include seat heating, the Front Axle Lift System, Sound Package Plus, the Light Design Package, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, a SiriusXM satellite radio receiver, and a Bluetooth hands-free mobile phone interface.

The naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine features titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, dry sump lubrication, and a multi-point electronic indirect fuel injection system. It revs up to 9,000 rpm and delivers 475 HP and 324 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed PDK transmission. Standard performance equipment includes rear-axle steering, an electro-mechanical limited-slip differential, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). The car accelerates from 0-60 MPH in approximately 3.5 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200 MPH. This example is equipped with optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and features an upgraded Soul performance exhaust system. The seller indicates extensive recent service has been completed and the car was never issued a recall for its engine, although an extended engine warranty is in effect until September 2024.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, service records, and a clean title.

@conteface43077 It was not. See the thread below.

  • tkasser (seller) 10 months, 1 weekago

@supermoo I actually have extended warranties available that do cover it. But it’s just peace of mind. I don’t think anything is wrong with these engines after Porsche has done their service to them.

  • conteface43077 (registered bidder) 10 months, 1 weekago

was this engine replaced under the recall?

  • supermoo (registered bidder) 10 months, 1 weekago

@spencer - are you able to buy 'insurance' coverage for the motor through Porsche? If not, where do you go for this sort of coverage?

  • spencer (registered bidder) 10 months, 1 weekago

As some of you guys know, all 991.1 GT3 engines have a design flaw. The replacement engines have have added oil sprayers and coatings, but the design flaw is still there. That being said, the late series replacement motors (the G6 motors) appear to be holding up with no reported failures. The 10 year warranties are expiring soon, so unless you have the G6 motor it is generally recommended to buy additional coverage otherwise all the risk shifts to the owner.

@supermoo yes this is correct. It was the “early” 2014s.

  • supermoo (registered bidder) 10 months, 1 weekago

Will let the experts chime in here but from everything I have read, it wasnt that all of the 2014 yeah got a replacement, it was all GT3's that had been built up to that date when they were aware and were able to perform the fix for the loosened screw joints on the connecting rods. So a lot of the 2014's got new engines but not all.

  • sunking (registered bidder) 10 months, 1 weekago

Did some research and it appears all 785 2014 GT3's were recalled in 2014 and again in 2015 (Autoweek and Car & Driver). A new engine is said to have been dropped into every GT3 for the 1st recall and only a dozen were recalled in 2015. It sounds like this engine is fine and has performed beautifully for the owner. Question is if every 2014 GT3 (per the articles, etc.) received the engine swap, how did this one GT3 not take advantage of that? Just trying to make an educated decision on this and any other 2014's.

I uploaded some driving videos. One the ones shot from the interior it looks like the PCM display is glitching. I assure you there are no issues and this is just due to the refresh rate that the phone records in.

@Jcrable911. Thank you for clarifying the reason for two sets of wheels and tires. I for one am happy to see that the car was driven and driven as Intended.

I would rather purchase a car that was tracked and maintained responsibly than one that was hot rodded through the gears on a public road.

Car looks fantastic in white. GLWTA

  • Jcrable911 (registered bidder) 10 months, 1 weekago

@OttoBozart this was my former car. My ownership was brief because a 997GT3 I tried to buy previously became available. The car is in excellent condition, I am OCD about my cars. You can use my handle here to check out my collection on IG. The car came with two sets of wheels and tires. These stock wheels with very good tires and a set of new BBS MTSP wheels and new tires. A friend asked to purchase the BBS for his 991 before I traded the car. Based on lack of rash around fenders, no rubber underneath, no harnesses etc I would guess any prior track use was limited if any. Also my son in law is a service writer for a very reputable and very high volume Porsche store, they went through this car in detail. Motor is strong and runs great….very few motors were replaced after the initial cars where there were issues. Beautiful white, great interior, PCCB, and FAL. Great car and good luck to those bidding.

  • OttoBozart (registered bidder) 10 months, 1 weekago

I’m guessing that the car is usually driven on a different set of wheels and tires translates to track days.

  • tkasser (seller) 10 months, 2 weeksago

@Sbani123 I was informed that it was early E engines and was due to loose hardware. Porsche updated the design and new builds got the update but they recalled about 760 early cars and put new engines in those. It wasn't until 2017 that they extended the warranty due to cam issues.

  • Sbani123 (registered bidder) 10 months, 2 weeksago

caymanorcarrera, my understanding is that the E code engines were the real problem and Porsche replaced them at no charge (with F or G code engines). Customers remained leery and, as assurance, Porsche provided a 10 year warranty on all the engines in these GT3s. The negativity associated with the E code engines seems to have resulted in all the 991.1 GT3s being a “bargain”. They are great cars at a great price. I love mine!

    Hi Everyone.
Let's talk about the elephant in the room. This is the original engine. It has not needed a replacement. Pictures 97 and 98 show what was done at the dealer this past August. At that time. the owner of the car was the father in law of the service advisor. If it even remotely needed an engine, It would have gotten one. It wasn't all GT3s that needed it. This engine is still under warranty until next september. Trust me, I've tried to break it as I know it would make for an easier sale.

  • Caymanorcarrera (registered bidder) 10 months, 2 weeksago

Yeah…….pretty sure an engine code is mandatory here………as I understand it, if it’s a certain code and never been replaced, that will be a factor……..always happy to be fact checked here 😳

  • Retro2345 (registered bidder) 10 months, 2 weeksago

These cars have sat at dealers for a long time in the last year. I wonder what this car goes for. Good luck

To answer all of the "Engine replacement" questions. It's written clearly in the description..

The seller indicates extensive recent service has been completed and the car was never issued a recall for its engine, although an extended engine warranty is in effect until September 2024.

  • TTurboS 10 months, 2 weeksago

Does this have the G6 motor?
