We are pleased to offer this 2014 Porsche Cayenne GTS finished in Peridot Metallic.  Sporting the aggressive bodywork of the Turbo model along with a host of premium features and a specially tuned 4.6L V8 engine, the GTS offers an ideal combination of style, luxury, and performance.  This 2014 example was configured at an original sticker price of over $103k with a rare paint color and additional options including a panoramic roof system, heated and ventilated front seats, ParkAssist, the Bose Surround Sound System, and 21” Cayenne SportEdition wheel in black with wheel arch extensions.  Having recently been serviced, inspected, and fitted with new tires, this stunning Cayenne GTS is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing approximately 63k miles on the odometer.

This Cayenne was ordered in the rare GTS-specific color of Peridot Metallic, a shade made famous as the launch color for the Cayman R.  As a GTS model, this Cayenne also features a Turbo front fascia, body-colored side skirts, red brake calipers, gloss black window trim, quad exhaust tips, a rear spoiler, and darker LED taillights.  This example has also been optioned with 21" Cayenne SportEdition wheels in black with wheel arch extensions and colored Porsche center crests.  New Pirelli Scorpion winter tires are said to have been installed within the last three months.  Some minor imperfections are noted on the front hood and the seller reports that a slight dent was removed from the lower corner of the driver’s side front bumper.  Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this Cayenne features a black GTS interior with an Alcantara headliner and optional high-gloss black trim.  Driver amenities include a panoramic roof system, 14-way power front seats with memory, heating, and ventilation, Porsche Entry & Drive, ParkAssist (front and rear) with a reversing camera, Lane Change Assist (LCA), the Bose Surround Sound System, Comfort Lighting Package, and Porsche Communication Management with navigation, SiriusXM, and an HD radio receiver.  All electronics and accessories are said to be working properly and the seller adds that a full service of the A/C system has been recently completed.

The GTS carries a specially tuned 4.6 L V8 engine that produces up to 420 HP and 380 lb.-ft of torque, an increase of approximately 20 HP and 11 lb.-ft of torque over the standard Cayenne S.  A specialized 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels and provides a 0-60 time of approximately 5.3 seconds.  CARFAX shows a long history of routine dealer maintenance and the seller reports that a full service and pre-purchase inspection have been carried out within the last several months.

This sale will include a set of keys, owner's manuals, a jack, a spare tire, and a clean title.  Among the last of the Cayenne GTS models to have been offered with a naturally aspirated V8 engine, this stunning Peridot Metallic 2014 example is not to be overlooked.

@Papagi114 Interesting, that is strange because after you brought that up in the previous comment i looked it up and did my research. I went through forums and read many articles online and i never once read anything about a plastic piece. I am not doubting you, just saying everything i read mentioned the 2013 models and something about the fluid. Anyhow, this car drives great and i have not felt any signs of transfer case issues whatsoever. Im very transparent and if the car had any issues I would address them here. Im a first time seller on Pcar but i have sold many many cars on BAT and never had an unhappy buyer. Im under the same username on BAT if anybody would like to view my history. Thanks again. about an hour to go!!

@smg_clyde The transfer case issue was due to a defective plastic piece in the internals, not a fluid issue. That is why Porsche extended the warranty to 10 yrs out, transferable. They will replace the transfer case at no cost

@JimHawkins my wife did. She got a White Macan GTS after driving same Peridot Cayenne GTS that we had. Miss that car.

Thanks for the reply and makes total sense.

@rbrunson Hi and thank you for viewing the car. To answer your question there is not a trailer hitch installed. This seems to be a common concern and I mentioned previously that i myself also own a Cayenne GTS in white. Mine did not come with the trailer hitch either. It was an easy add-on. Believe it or not the local Uhaul near us in Los Angeles installed it, they gave us a lifetime hardware warranty and a 5 year electrical warranty. Its been workin great. I just had to take off the ugly uhaul sticker lol. To be completely honest to any potential buyers here. You are probably better off buying a car that does not have a hitch, whether it be this one or any other Cayenne. I prefer to know the vehicle i am purchasing has never been used to tow anything. This way u know for sure there has been less stress on the transmission. I bought an older BMW X5 4.8is prior to my white Cayenne. The X5 had a hitch on it already. I used the Bimmer to pull my Jet skis around and in less than a year my transmission took a dump and i had to have a new one put in. Just some food for thought. Happy bidding!! :)

Can you please clarify that there is a standard trailer hitch installed?
I was looking at the pictures and could not see the receiver installed. Maybe there is a plug covering the hitch receiver.
    Thanks

@JimHawkins I totally agree!! I personally love it, I told my wife (our GTS is her daily car) that I should sell our white one and keep this one and she ABSOLUTELY refused. LOL. I love the color but i guess its not for everybody. It really is a great car though and i'm sure who ever gets it will be very happy with it.

  • JimHawkins (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@smg_clyde Thank you for the very prompt reply. The color is so unique I wonder how many Porsche enthusiasts get it thinking Mrs. Porsche Enthusiast will "learn to love it" and then eventually give up? I feel like it's a love-or-hate color, and I love it.

@JimHawkins Hi and thanks for your interest in the GTS. Let me check on the adaptive cruise and get back to ya. As far as the owners go, I completely understand why this would be a concern. After looking more into it, it looks like the original owner had this car for 2 and half years. The second owner had it for just under 2 years, the 3rd owner had it for 1 year. The last 2 owners had the car for about 8-9 months each. i know the last owner personally and he is a Porsche collector who lives here in Los Angeles California. This car was purchased to be kept up at his home in Aspen. Then Covid hit and traveling became a lot more difficult so the car just sat in the garage of the aspen house plugged into the wall. This is why he decided to move on from the car. Because of the color Im going to assume this car has been held by Porsche enthusiasts through out its life. A Cayenne is not really a "collector" car so i'm thinking it switched hands a few times over the years only because the owners either got sick of it or didn't need it anymore. I don't imagine it being due to any problems with the car. As i have mentioned before, i have a white cayenne GTS myself and i don't plan on having it for more than 2 years or so before i upgrade. Its just what we do as car guys!!
As far as the hitch goes. I had one installed and they did all the electrical along with the installation. I have had no issues.

I too had the roof rack issue. I am still actually in the middle of it. I discovered that the roof rack on the GTS model was an add on option. Most GTS came with no roof rack to mount items. I have looked into sea sucker which seems to be a good option. I have also spoken to my local dealership and they said they can install OEM racks for me. So we have options. Let me know if any more questions or concerns, Thanks

Hello - Very interested in this vehicle. Does it have Adaptive Cruise Control?
Adding the hardware for a trailer hitch is easy, but is it wired for pulling a trailer?
5 owners? What keeps turning owners into sellers?
I wanted roof rails and factory tow package or I'd be bidding seriously.

@Papagi114 Hi and thank you for the question, I reached out to my contacts at our local Porsche dealership. They confirmed the transfer case has not been replaced and was never in need of it. The car has been serviced regularly at Porsche dealerships and seems all fluids were always replaced in a timely manner. I did some digging to learn for myself, it seems the transfer case issues were mainly o the 2013 models and they were due to lack of fluid replacement. This is what most of the forums say. This car drives great and i do not feel any of the symptoms people mention. Also, a PPI was done on this car just about 3000 miles ago and if there were any signs of upcoming TC issues i'm sure they would have mentioned it. Thats all i got, hope it helps. Happy bidding :)

I had a chance to check this GTS out last week and it presents as well in person as it does in these pictures. Certainly a rare offering in this gorgeous color!

These cars have transfer case issues and need to be replaced. Porsche last year extended the warranty for 10 yrs. Has the transfer case been replaced?

  • Upshift4 (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

    @smg_clyde thanks ! That would be a perfect solution. ( I’m a tire engineer).

  • smg_clyde (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@smdand It does not, but its an easy add on. I had a hitch installed on my white 2016 Cayenne GTS and works perfect and was only a couple hundred bucks. If u are local to Los Angeles where we are I'd be happy to refer u to the shop that installed mine! Thanks for the comment!

  • smg_clyde (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@Upshift4 Hey bud, they are actually fine on regular roads. The compound is a bit softer so they seem to wear faster but as far as grip, traction, drivability there is no compromise. If this is however an issue, I have my personal Cayenne GTS with brand new Pirellis the i changed about a month ago and we could possibly make a swap. I dont mind having the winter tires on my car so not a problem at all. Happy bidding!!

  • smg_clyde (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@stupendous Hi, the last PPI was done close to a year ago. The car has only been driven about 3500 miles since the PPI. I will upload the PPI paperwork on monday when back at the shop. Have a great weekend!

  • theRennMeister (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@Upshift4 Wrong. I run Pirelli Scorpion Winters year around in my Porsche Cayenne Turbo S year around in Colorado and performance on dry roads is quite similar to all season tires

WINTER tires? Are these on spare wheels or all that’s on the car? You do know they’re no good for dry roads.
