We are pleased to present this 2015 Panoz Esperante Spyder GT finished in Alubeam Silver over a two-tone black and grey interior. Making its debut at SEMA 2014, this Esperante Spyder GT is one of only three hand-built examples produced in total and reportedly the only to have been delivered to a private client. This limited-production model commemorates the 25th anniversary of Panoz, a highly exclusive American sports car manufacturer and racing team. What is essentially a road-legal version of the iconic Panoz GTLM GT2 race car, the Esperante Spyder GT features widened carbon composite body panels over a fully aluminum chassis paired with a 6.2L supercharged Chevrolet LSA engine, Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission, Brembo brakes, an adjustable coilover suspension, BBS wheels, and a race-inspired luxury interior trimmed in leather and Alcantara. Remaining under the care of its original owner, this incredibly rare Esperante Spyder GT is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida showing just under 400 miles on the odometer.
This Esperante Spyder GT is finished in the Mercedes-Benz AMG color of Alubeam Silver (047). The Spyder GT is built upon a lightweight modular extruded aluminum chassis featuring tubular steel subframes and carbon-fiber composite superstructures, widened carbon composite fender flares, and superformed aluminum doors, hood, and trunk lid. It also makes use of carbon fiber for the front splitter, rocker panels, rear diffuser, taillight bezels, trunk panel insert, windscreen surround, and the Spyder shell behind the cabin with dual billet aluminum fuel fillers. Compared to other models in the Esperante line, this Spyder GT features wider bodywork and unique side-exit exhausts. The large red Brembo brake calipers can be seen behind the 19” BBS CH-R aluminum wheels, which are mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The cockpit is upholstered in two-tone black and perforated grey leather with Alcantara trim, optional silver stitching, and carbon-fiber accents. The optional power-operated Recaro seats include 4-point Inertia Reel Schroth safety harnesses and Panoz badges embroidered in the headrests. Driver amenities include a 10.6” digital instrument display, a flat-bottomed carbon-fiber and Alcantara MOMO steering wheel with silver stitching, remote keyless entry, pushbutton ignition, air conditioning, an optional front-mounted curb sensor, single-stage driver-side Airbag, and a 7” Alpine multimedia head unit with navigation and satellite radio. Other details include exposed carbon-fiber inner door sills with stainless steel Esperante treadplates, aluminum pedals, and a production plaque on the center console denoting the individual chassis number and production month.
Under the hood, the Panoz Esperante Spyder GT features a front mid-mounted 6.2L supercharged Chevrolet LSA V8 engine, tuned by Panoz and Élan Power Products to produce up to 560 HP. The rear wheels are driven via a close-ratio Tremec T56 manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The Spyder GT features power-assisted hydraulic rack and pinion steering, four-wheel independent suspension with Penske remote-reservoir adjustable coilovers, and Brembo 6-piston monobloc front brake calipers with Brembo 4-piston calipers in the rear. This Panoz recently underwent an annual service which included new spark plugs, an oil and filter change, and a brake fluid flush.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, a commemorative production book, and a clean title. @RetroOrville Yes, the car can be driven with the soft-top on but I would not drive it at fast speeds as it does not look like it would be able to withstand highway-type speeds. Seems to be more of an emergency top to get you home if it starts to rain.
K2: Thank you for top photos. It appears to secure with clips and Velcro? Appears it can be driven when mounted, if you were caught in some weather?

The owner did provide a crude soft top for the car that Panoz designed for the car but it ruins the cars look and lines. It will be included with the sale of the car.

Also, though the entire car and its esteemed automotive roommates are fun to see, I must say the side exit exhaust running through the riveted plate is my favorite shot. Just great. Go America.

@K2Motorcars Speaking as an interested bidder and somebody with experience dealing with Panoz, it might be worthwhile to check on the availability before offering a custom piece like that. Panoz outsourced the creation of their cabin tonneau covers and last I checked they either didn't remember who their supplier was or didn't use them anymore (for an AIV Roadster). Most of their parts are not quite as easy as just calling them up and getting them on order - the last time we ordered an AIV radiator it took a few months.
