Equipped with a high-revving 3.8L engine and 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, this 2015 Porsche 991 GT3 comes finished in White over a black interior with Adaptive Sport Seats in leather and Alcantara. It rides on optional black-painted wheels and underwent previous repairs using genuine Porsche replacement parts. Now with approximately 6,700 miles showing on the odometer, this GT3 is being offered for auction by its seller out of Oregon.
This GT3 wears a nonmetallic White exterior complemented by factory 20” center-lock wheels in an optional high-gloss black finish. Clear taillights have been installed along with clear European-style side marker lenses in front. Collision damage was reported on CARFAX in 2015 at 5,601 miles and the vehicle was declared a total loss by the previous owner’s insurance company. The seller notes damage was sustained to the passenger side, and subsequent repairs are said to have included partial refinishing of the vehicle as well as a new door, quarter panel, rear wheel, brake caliper, strut, and all associated hardware for installation. The black interior features a pair of optional 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus trimmed in leather and Alcantara, accented by brushed silver trim throughout. A naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine sends up to 475 HP and 324 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, providing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in just over 3 seconds. The seller notes that updated Porsche heads have been installed and that the oil, spark plugs, and coolant have all been replaced during their ownership.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals and a rebuilt/salvage title.

@Zeke this engine was not on the recall list. I replaced the heads because Porsche upgraded the rocker arm followers
@JPG505 no this motor has new heads from Porsche it wasn’t on the recall list

Was this engine replaced as part of the first 1000 delivered under warrarantee by Porsche, or is this an older delivery with the connecting rod issue resolved. Porsche got a bad batch of connecting rods and it cost them plenty. They replaced the first ones and the ones thereafter came with new rods, Where does this motor sit? Was it out of Porsche warranty because of the total? and the engine not replaced?

Most cars with total loss history are a problem, insurance company doesn’t like to insure, and it also affects the bottom line . Would like to see more detailed pictures of damage before repairs.

I owned a repair shop for year's we did all the work.
Now I am retired and use Stugart in lake Oswego for tuneup or oil change.
What upgrade heads? Haven’t heard of this? Do you have the invoice? Or work order? Are you confusing valve covers with heads? Can the car be inspected locally?

@Quackbury the car drives I took it to Stugart to service the ac and go over the entire car I had it in storage since 2017. I was going to race it but had heart surgery and change my choices. I bought it from the owner who told the insurance company he didn't want it we paid 85k to the insurance company in 2017 with 5 k miles on it. I am thinking on selling my cars and real estate and moving to Arizona.
Anyone know what the car being totaled and the heads replaced does to the 3.8 ten year warranty?

$135,000 car. Totaled after 5,600 miles. How much damage is required for the insurance company to total an almost-new GT3? $100,000 worth? Sounds like a little more than a quarter panel, door and some suspension bits to me.
Second owner purchased the car in 2017. Per Carfax, In 5 years it added exactly 1 mile to the odometer. Under its own power? If the seller "takes the car to Stutgart (sic) in Oswego" does it commute by flatbed?
I mean, the seats and the wheels are likely worth the current bid, even if the car does not run. While it's possible this will be the most cost effective killer track toy in history, Crazy Joe's story gives one pause.

I replaced the heads with the upgraded heads runs like a champ
@Nycrazyjoe I’m not sure I follow. You have invoices from the salvage repairs or you have just regular service invoices? I’m trying to get a sense of how extensive the damage was to the car (frame damage, etc.)
