Created specifically to compete in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Series from 2013 to 2016, the Porsche 991 GT3 Cup is a track-only race car featuring a 460 HP 3.8-liter flat-six engine, a paddle-shifted 6-speed sequential manual gearbox, a limited-slip differential, a racing brake system, lightweight single-piece wheels, and a full suite of track safety equipment. This 2015 example was raced in IMSA events by Marco Cirone from 2015 to 2018 and later competed in PCA GT6C club racing with the current owner from 2018 to 2021. It features upgraded 3-way adjustable JRZ coilovers and a Porsche factory racing seat with a new 6-point safety harness installed in 2022. Bearing approximately 115 hours of use on its chassis, 35 hours on the engine, and 20 hours on its gearbox, this authentic GT3 Cup factory race car is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.

This 991 is finished in White with a removable matte black and gold vinyl wrap. Compared to the GT3 road car, the track-only GT3 Cup features a wider front end, modified rear wheel arches, lightweight polycarbonate windows, carbon fiber reinforced plastic door panels, a NACA-ducted hood, and a large carbon fiber rear wing. Other equipment includes integrated front and rear tow hooks, hood and engine cover pins, dual center-mounted tailpipes, and an air jack connector in the passenger rear quarter window. It rides on factory 18” center-lock wheels dressed in Pirelli P Zero racing slicks. The seller notes two additional sets of wheels and tires are included as well as a new set of rain tires. The windshield is also said to have been replaced in late 2022.

The lightweight racing interior includes a fully integrated roll cage and a factory carbon fiber driver’s racing bucket seat. Other equipment includes a removable flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters, a digital LCD instrument display, a carbon fiber center control panel, a fire suppression system, a racing suit cooling system, a Safecraft driver’s safety net, and a new Schroth 6-point racing harness. The seller reports all gauges and accessories are working properly.

This GT3 Cup is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine producing up to 460 HP at 7,500 rpm. The rear wheels are driven through a Porsche Motorsport 6-speed sequential dog-type gearbox with a limited-slip differential. Stopping power comes from a racing brake system with fixed 6-piston aluminum brake calipers and 380mm slotted steel rotors in front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The chassis also includes an upgraded JRZ 3-way adjustable coilover suspension. The seller indicates the original engine and transmission were rebuilt in 2018 and the car was last raced at a PCA/BMW track day in 2021. All routine maintenance is said to have been performed by the same technician at Bestline Auto Tech Inc. since 2015.
