Additionally, it has been upgraded with Fabspeed sport headers along with Rennline, protective radiator grilles, and an Alcantara shift boot with deviated thread.  Acquired as a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in June of 2020, this GTS is now being offered for auction by its fourth owner out of Ohio showing just over 27k miles on the odometer.

This Cayman comes finished in Black and features GTS-specific bumpers as well as black headlamp surrounds, smoked taillight lenses, and optional 20” 911 Turbo Design wheels. Rennline radiator protection screens have been fitted and the front bumper, hood, and fenders are said to have been refinished following minor damage reported on CARFAX in 2020.  The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were mounted just over 3k miles ago within the last 18 months.

The black leather and Alcantara interior features deviated Carmine Red stitching and carbon fiber trim as well as optional instrument dials in Guards Red, a SportDesign steering wheel, and the Infotainment Package with BOSE Surround Sound.  A matching Alcantara shift boot with red stitching has been added and a complete list of factory options is provided below:

  • 027      Instrument Dials in Carmine Red
  • 088      Deviated Interior Package
  • 220      Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV)
  • 429      20" 911 Turbo Design Wheels
  • 446      Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest
  • 840      SportDesign steering wheel
  • A1        Black
  • GQ       Leather Interior in Black incl. GTS Alcantara® Package, Carmine Red
  • P9A      Convenience Package
  • P9G     Infotainment Package with BOSE® Surround Sound System
  • X73      Sport Suspension (-20 mm)

A 6-speed manual transmission is paired with the naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six sending up to 340 HP and 280 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels.  The GTS offers 15 HP and 7 lb.-ft of torque more than the Cayman S and comes equipped with the Sport Chrono Package and Sport Exhaust as standard.  Aftermarket Fabspeed sport headers have been equipped for increased sound and power. This example has also been optioned with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) as well as Sport Suspension (X73) which provides a lower, stiffer ride.  The car was fully serviced and sold as a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in 2020 and has been kept up to date on routine maintenance since.  The CARFAX report shows a brake fluid flush and oil change performed in July 2021 as well as a maintenance inspection in March 2022. A Porsche Multi-Point Inspection Report was recently obtained in preparation for sale and is provided for reference in the gallery along with a DME readout.

This sale will include a clean title (lien).

@tfote I think this is so great. I applaud you for going the extra mile to get the car corrected. I bought a car that was factory certified (different awesome German car company) and the paint started to delaminate from from the front bumper shortly after purchase. I took it to the dealer and they acted as if I was trying to pull something on them. I reminded them that they chose to rely on inspection and CarFax and i chose to rely on them. They fixed it, at their expense. The point is, if a person decides to keep the CarFax clean they are cheating. We should not punish a seller for disclosing. And if you get ins involved, generally the shop knows they have to do it right, not crappy like my car was done. So perhaps we Pcar fans can agree that a ding on CarFax isn't the end of the world and I'd also warn you that a clean CarFax isn't all it is cracked up to be.
    Beautiful car, GLWA.

@bxfe Our Porsches get non warranty service completed at P3Autokrafte in Centerville Ohio. These guys are Porsche fanatics and know their cars. Check them out (https://p3autokrafte.com/)

According to them, absolutely no evidence of track use. You can also see that the DME report came back very clean.

As for rock chips on the rocker panels and fender lips. Fender lips show one or two small spots on left rear. Rocker panels show one or two on drivers side that are visible and a couple that are "underneath" and not visible unless you are on ground looking up. The car looks great. I'll upload some photos in a few minutes.

Hi Tom, any track use in the car's history that you know of? Can you comment on how the rockers and fender lips look? Lots of rock chips there?

  • tfote (seller) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    @Van914 Hi Van,
The car had an off road excursion on rain slick roads while I was driving. No airbags deployed, no body damage to panels (hood, fenders etc) occurred. No other vehicles involved, no law enforcement, or towing necessary. I simply pulled out of the grass and drove off. The car drove fine and I was a little relieved when I got home and saw no visible damage could be seen when looking at the car. However on further examination, damage occurred to the underside of the aluminum luggage compartment (the frunk) and the underside of the front bumper (plastic parts) when the car hit the grass hill or berm after departing the road. At the end of the day, I had to make an insurance claim. The car drove completely fine and looked completely fine from the outside. Only when you got down and looked under the car could you see the damage to the luggage compartment and underside of the front bumper. Repair work was done in Indianapolis by a Porsche approved collision repair and body shop Tom Wood Collision Center. Since the front bumper was going to be removed and certain parts replaced, I took the opportunity to have the black radiator grills installed as well as have the hood and fenders refinished to clean up some rock chips. Interestingly, during the process they made a mistake and damaged the headlamps so they had to put brand new ones on the car. I think that about covers it. The car is like new, no issues and drives spectacularly. Happy car shopping!

Welcome to the auction of this truly spectacular 2015 Cayman GTS. As you review the photos, details and history of the vehicle, I think you'll agree it's a beautifully specified car and wonderfully conditioned. I'm Tom, the current owner of the vehicle and I'll be available throughout the auction to answer any and all questions you may have about the car. One question I'm sure to get, I'll go ahead and answer right now. Why am I selling the car? Well, we sold the house and with it the 3 car garage. We're moving to Florida and will only take 2 cars. Fortunate for the next proud owner, unfortunate for me, this one won't be making the move with us. Happy car shopping!
