Up for auction is this 2015 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible 1.8T finished in Pure White over a Beige V-Tex leatherette interior. Introduced in 2011 as what would become the final generation of Volkswagen’s Beetle, the A5 variant is a modern interpretation of an automotive icon. This 2015 Convertible version is equipped with a turbocharged 1.8L engine, heated seats, and a touchscreen multimedia display. Purchased as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in May of 2018, this Beetle is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with just over 27k miles showing on the odometer.
This Beetle comes finished in Pure White with a beige retractable soft top and chrome trim. The modern Beetle is based upon Volkswagen Group’s A5 platform shared with the Mk6 Jetta sedan. Compared with the prior generation Beetle, the A5 variant is longer, wider, and lower with increased trunk space and legroom. Some minor cosmetic imperfections are noted including slight discoloration of the convertible top, a touchup on the driver-side rear bumper, and a paint chip on the rear spoiler. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This Beetle rides on 17” alloy wheels fitted with chrome hubcaps, 20-slot trim rings, and Atlas Land Sport tires.
Inside, this Beetle is appointed with Beige V-Tex leatherette upholstery, matching carpets, chrome-look interior accents, and body-colored inserts for the dashboard and door panels. Creature comforts include power windows and door locks, air conditioning, heated manually adjustable front seats, remote keyless entry, pushbutton ignition, a driver information display, and a touchscreen multimedia system with Bluetooth phone integration.
This Beetle is equipped with a 1.8L turbocharged inline four-cylinder TSI engine rated at 170 HP and 184 lb.-ft of torque. The front wheels are driven through a 6-speed automatic transmission which can also be shifted manually using the +/- setting on the gear selector. Other mechanical features include front and rear anti-roll bars, electric speed-sensitive power steering, a multilink rear suspension, electronic stability control, and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS. The last recorded service shown on CARFAX was completed by Platinum Volkswagen of Hicksville, New York at 25,841 miles.

I believe only the 2.0T R-Line models came with a 6-speed DSG transmission, and that the 1.8T models came with a traditional 6-speed automatic. The stated combo seems unlikely - can you please confirm?
