We are pleased to present this 2016 BMW F82 M4 GTS finished in Frozen Dark Grey Metallic over a black leather and Alcantara interior. The M4 GTS is the latest offering in BMW’s long line of track-oriented high-performance two-door sports cars dating back to the legendary E30 M3 Evolution. Production of the M4 GTS ceased after 803 examples were sold worldwide, of which only 405 reportedly made their way to North America. Fitted with a water-injection system, carbon-ceramic brakes, an adjustable three-way coilover suspension, a four-point roll bar, adjustable carbon-fiber aerodynamics, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, the GTS held the title as the fastest production BMW to lap the Nürburgring, besting the standard M4 by a staggering 24 seconds. This example was originally sold in Texas before being acquired by its second owner in October of 2020. Said to have been previously owned by a BMW Car Club of America (BMWCCA) regional president, this M4 GTS is now being offered for auction at no reserve by its second owner out of Texas showing under 5k miles on the odometer.
This M4 is finished in Frozen Dark Grey Metallic (U83), one of only four colors offered on this limited-production model. The M4 GTS features extensive use of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) for weight savings, including the GTS-specific hood, roof panel, trunk lid, rear valence, adjustable front splitter, and rear wing. The M4 GTS is the first production BMW to feature organic LED taillights, which produce a larger, wider light pattern and have different modes depending on driver settings and conditions. Black kidney grilles and Shadowline exterior trim are equipped as standard. The large gold-painted carbon-ceramic brake calipers sit behind BMW Style 666M wheels which feature Acid Orange inserts, machined faces, and original Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The seller reports some small rock chips on the front splitter and states that the car has always been garage-kept and never subjected to track use, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery and a clean CARFAX report.
The cockpit of the M4 GTS features a track-focused design and lightweight 2-way power-adjustable M-Sport seats trimmed in black leather and Alcantara. An Acid Orange painted four-point roll bar and Alcantara-wrapped CFRP panels take place of the rear seats. The door panels are constructed from lightweight recycled materials first seen in the BMW i3, and feature M-striped fabric door pulls to match the M-striped seat belts. The thickened Alcantara-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel features M-colored deviated stitching and an orange 12 o’clock marking at the top. It sits ahead of a 200-MPH speedometer, a variable redline tachometer, and a color LCD display. Standard equipment includes BMW iDrive navigation, a head-up display, automatic climate control, and Parking Distance Control. Custom matching Coco floor mats have been installed to protect the carpeting.
The M4 GTS is powered by a twin-turbocharged S55 inline 6-cylinder engine with Double-VANOS variable valve control. As much as 493 HP and 443 lb.-ft of torque are delivered to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. The GTS features a special water injection system that sprays a fine mist of distilled water directly into the intake system over 5k RPM, reducing overall internal engine temperature and allowing for increased boost pressure. The M4 GTS can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 190 MPH. Weight-saving measures include a single-piece carbon-fiber driveshaft and a titanium exhaust system, as well as the 6-piston front and 4-piston rear carbon-ceramic braking system. The M-Drive system allows the driver to select multiple combinations of throttle, transmission, and stability control modes, with a special M Dynamic Mode designed for track use. The seller reports this M4 GTS to have been maintained by the lead master technician at BMW of Dallas, who replaced the water injection valve block with an updated part per BMW and fully inspected all systems of the vehicle including the front knuckles. New K&N air filters were installed during the last service, and the suspension has been professionally tuned to the factory Nürburgring settings by Texas Track Works.
This sale will include a clean title, a set of two keys, a GTS-specific car cover, suspension adjustment tools, the original window sticker and associated literature, and a special BMW cleaning kit for the matte paint. @VoltageGSR Thanks bud, yes the car has only been touched by the Lead Master Tech at BMW of Dallas since I've owned it. When I bought the car I had him check over it top to bottom and replace anything necessary. He checked the entire car thoroughly, especially the front knuckles, the condition of the ceramics (they show perfect wear bars), and the water injection system which I was a little paranoid about. Everything worked well but we decided to update the water injection valve block to the latest part number from BMW preventatively for peace of mind as this is a known weak point. We also changed the oil and flushed brake fluid at that time as well as installing new K&N air filters. He told me "car is perfect, needs nothing" before I left. It's definitely been perfect since then, zero issues, and driven very sparingly mainly to cars & coffee type events when I have time to hang out with friends.
Also, the car has never been tracked under my ownership. Heavily tracked cars often have worn suspension components, worn ceramics, and discoloration of the titanium rear muffler. This was something I was looking out for when I bought the car. One of the pictures in the gallery shows the titanium muffler and it is not discolored at all and looks new. I also had all suspension and braking systems checked when Texas Track Works setup the suspension to factory Nürburgring settings and was told the car looked "brand new" underneath and the ceramics were perfect with basically no wear on the circular indicators on the rotors. Up for auction is my 2016 BMW M4 GTS. I am the second owner and the car is in excellent like-new condition. I never tracked the car (titanium muffler is not discolored) and the previous owner was Regional President of BMW Car Club of America (part of his personal collection) so the car has been lovingly cared for it's entire life, it even spent time as a museum exhibit. Odometer currently shows 4714 miles and it has been fully maintained by the lead master tech at BMW of Dallas since I've owned it. This is an accident free, no stories example and when I bought the car I also had the front knuckles checked (no issues) and had the water injection valve block preventatively replaced with the updated part number (original was working fine but did it for peace of mind). Everything works as it should and the car is amazing to drive. This GTS is absolutely mint and it will make the next owner very happy, I am here to answer any questions you may have. I have set the auction as NO RESERVE so someone is taking her home! Happy bidding!
