The 488 Gran Turismo Berlinetta (GTB) is the first turbocharged mid-engined Ferrari since the legendary F40, with its venerable 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 generating over 660 HP. The 488 exhibits Ferrari’s motorsport nature with active aerodynamics, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, adaptive suspension, lightweight materials, and various Ferrari driver assistance systems. This 2016 example comes finished in Bianco Avus over a Nero leather interior and features Daytona racing seats, special-order Bianco contrast stitching, 20” RR Diamon Cut Forged wheels, Scuderia fender shields, carbon fiber exterior accents, sport exhaust pipes, and more. Showing less than 8k miles on the odometer, this GTB is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Michigan.
This example comes finished in Bianco Avus, featuring the optional carbon fiber front wing spoiler and side air splitters, Scuderia fender shields, sport exhaust pipes, brake calipers finished in Giallo Modena, and 20” RR Diamond Cut Forged wheels dressed in Pirelli P Zero tires. The development of the 488 was guided by Flavio Manzoni and was designed to produce 50% more downforce and 50% less drag than its predecessor. The 488 utilizes Ferrari’s Aero Pillar technology, which takes high-pressure air impacting the front end, redirecting it beneath the flat undercarriage and to the rear-mounted radiators instead. The wide rear finned diffuser is equipped with dynamic flaps which deploy under high speed, and the large opening above the tailpipes acts as a rear wing that directs air through the tail to produce more downforce. The seller adds that black vinyl wrap has been applied to the hood and rocker panels, the taillights have been smoked, and paint protection film has been applied to the front lip. Minor scuffs are noted on the underside of the front lip, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior is appointed with Nero leather and features Daytona carbon fiber racing seats, headrests with prancing horse embroidery, and special-ordered Bianco contrast stitching throughout. Additional optional equipment includes a carbon fiber steering wheel with an LED RPM indicator and a parking camera with parking assistance and distance sensors. Factory details include aluminum interior accents, a leather-upholstered dashboard, leather door trim inserts, and a full-cloth headliner. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, a six-speaker sound system, navigation, and dual digital instrument screens.
The 488 GTB is powered by a Type F154CB 3.9-liter V8 with twin Honeywell turbochargers featuring low-density titanium-aluminide turbine wheels and twin air-to-air intercoolers. This fully aluminum dry-sump lubricated engine features a flat-plane crankshaft, direct injection, and continuously variable valve timing. Over 660 HP and 560 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels by way of a Getrag 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in under 3 seconds, onto a top speed of over 220 MPH. Equipment includes Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes derived from the LaFerrari hybrid hypercar, a magnetorheological active suspension, an E-Diff3 electronic limited-slip differential, and Ferrari Side-Slip Angle Control advanced traction control. A recent service record from November 2022 includes a brake fluid replacement, an engine oil and filter change, passenger side window reprogramming, and an annual 12,500-mile basic service including coil cleaning and a pollen filter replacement, as provided in the gallery along with a detailed CARFAX report.

This 488 GTB is finished in Bianco Avus over a Nero leather interior and was ordered new by new Ferrari of Central New Jersey in Edison, NJ. They sold it to its first owner from Alexandria, VA on 6/13/2016 where it remained with this owner for 6 months before being acquired by exotic car dealership Toy Barn of Dublin, OH on 12/15/2016. Toy Barn then sold it to another dealer in Lakewood, NJ on 12/28/2016 with a reported 679 miles. It was acquired by its second registered owner of Appleton, WI on 1/10/2017 with a reported 714 miles followed by an acquisition by exotic car dealership Excell Auto Group in Boca Raton, FL on 7/24/2017 and then Chicago Motor Cars in West Chicago, IL on 9/23/2017 with a reported 2,060 miles.
Chicago Motor Cars then leased it to its third registered owner from Royal Oak, MI on 11/2/2017 for 3 months with it returning to Chicago Motor Cars on 2/6/2018 with a reported 2,264 miles.
