Designed for ultimate performance, the Mustang Shelby GT350R offers a lightweight design, aggressive aerodynamics, a track-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes, Recaro sport seats, carbon fiber wheels, and a 6-speed manual gearbox connected to a flat plane crank V8 “Voodoo” engine. This 2016 example comes finished in Shadow Black over an Ebony interior with red accents and features the optional Electronics Package for driver comfort. It was acquired by the seller from a private owner’s collection and is now being offered for auction out of New Jersey with approximately 3k miles showing on the odometer.

The Shelby GT350R offers a significant increase in downforce compared to the standard GT350 with the use of a larger front chin splitter and a carbon fiber rear wing. Weight is also reduced with special 19” carbon fiber wheels which are dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. This 2016 example is finished in Shadow Black and features red Brembo brake calipers, a vented hood, a quad-tipped exhaust, automatic HID projector headlamps, and LED taillights with sequential turn signals. Inside, this GT350R features a pair of manually adjustable Recaro front sport seats trimmed in Ebony cloth and Miko suede upholstery. Accessories include an Alcantara-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, a tilt/telescoping steering column, a rear seat delete, cruise control, a center console armrest, power windows, remote keyless entry, pushbutton start, and a Shelby Exclusive Trim Package. This GT350R was optioned with Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system and the Electronics Package which adds dual-zone electronic air conditioning, a stereo system, and voice-activated navigation.

Adorned with a commemorative plaque bearing the signatures of the engine builders, the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter “Voodoo” V8 features a flat-plane crankshaft and produces up to 526 HP and 429 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a Tremec 6-speed manual gearbox and a 3.73 axle with a Torsen limited-slip differential, providing a 0-60 time of approximately 3.9 seconds. Compared to the standard GT350, the R version features a stiffer suspension setup with an aluminum strut tower brace as well as coolers for the engine oil, differential, and transmission fluid. Other performance equipment includes an active exhaust system, 6-piston Brembo brakes with semi-floating rotors, Launch Control, Line Lock, Track Apps, and electric speed-sensitive power steering. The seller indicates all factory recalls have been addressed and an extended warranty can be provided to the next owner at an added cost.
