Finished in Designo Selenite Grey Metallic over Black Exclusive Nappa leather and Dinamica upholstery, this Edition 1 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee with approximately 34k miles showing on the odometer.
This GT S comes finished in Designo Selenite Grey Metallic (922U). As an Edition 1 example, it boasts AMG Exterior Night Styling, a carbon fiber roof panel, and the AMG Aerodynamics Package which includes a front splitter, front air dam flics, and a fixed rear wing. Additionally, red brake calipers are set beneath the 19”/20” AMG 10-spoke machined wheels with black accents and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The CARFAX report notes moderate damage in June 2020 to the front, left, and rear of the car. Repairs included replacing and repainting the left fender, as well as refinishing the hood and front bumper cover. The front wheel-arch flics have been removed, leaving blemishes visible ahead of the front tires.
Inside, the cabin is outfitted with black Exclusive Nappa leather and Dinamica upholstery contrasted with red stitching and accents. Edition 1-specific details include a black Dinamica headliner, an AMG full Dinamica steering wheel with red stitching, red seatbelts, and AMG badging. Equipment also includes heated and power-adjustable AMG Performance seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Burmester sound system, a rearview camera, COMAND infotainment with navigation, Keyless Go, Blind Spot Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist. Wear is noted on the driver’s outer bolster.
Power comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged M178 V8 engine featuring direct injection and dry-sump lubrication. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, a carbon-fiber driveshaft, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. The Edition 1 Package includes AMG Sport suspension and the AMG Dynamic Plus Package with firmer damping, reprofiled steering, increased negative front-wheel camber, and dynamic engine & transmission mounts. The seller adds that performance has been modified with a RENNtech ECU tune, Project Gamma downpipes, and removed catalytic converters. Additionally, the engine mounts, transmission mounts, and rear brake pads were replaced in June 2024.
This sale will include a clean title.

@WH911 No hand held unit. The O2 sensors are still in place. I am not sure if the tune turns them off or adjusts the parameters. So really do not want to say anything incorrect about it passing any tests.
Thanks!

Is there a Renntech handheld tuner included? Are the rear O2s deactivated in the tune or still attached and working to pass emissions readiness test?
@Miles.S I appreciate the information
@sportscarguy3 If you look at the underside photos, the downpipes with cats will have to go up around the sides of the engine. They attach where the pipes make their way up into the engine bay. I have heard it is tight but doable!
Yes, you can run as auto or manual. The driving modes offer different things relating to the how the car performs. Each driving mode changes how the traction control reacts, how much power the engine is putting out, and how the suspension feels. Also can affect how the car shifts in automatic. Best way to look at it is going from Turtle to Rabbit. The comfort setting is more of the daily cruising when the Race setting will let the car go wild. They offer different levels of how the car assist the driver as well. The Sport Plus is a good medium as it still leaves the traction control on while also opening up lots of performance!
Hope this helps!

@Miles.S I appreciate the prompt reply and information regarding my questions about the exhaust, removal of the catalytic converters, and shifting sounds in your nice driving video
So I can do a little more research on the potential cost of purchasing and installing the Factory catalytic converters can you describe where they are located in the exhaust system and or get pictures of the underside so I could see for myself and pass the information on to my local muffler shop who has done work on cars I’ve purchased in the past
Basically I’m just trying to understand and confirm what the cost of these catalytic converters would be to purchase and install
And finally, regarding the sounds and the enjoyment of driving that you mentioned and show in the video
I’m assuming by your comments that the automatic transmission has different settings, including an automatic, manual and other modes perhaps
Can you explain the manual mode and how it would work and if that is when you would use the paddle shifters
as I mentioned I’ve never driven an automatic transmission sports car so trying to understand the logistics
Thank you
@sportscarguy3 Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The car has aftermarket downpipes that do delete the cats. So it will not pass smog. I do not have the original downpipes but they can be sourced.
This car is very fun and easy to drive in manual with the paddle shifters. Typically I do not use paddles on the automatics but this car is so so much shifting with the paddles. In the video I was in Sport + with manual mode. The car holds gears well and rev matches downshifts..then lets out an intoxicating gurgle! Very fun. Auto is fun as well :)
Thanks!
Miles
PS I probably should have read through the comments before making my earlier comment, but now I have questions about the catalytic converters
From one of the comments below it seems like they may have been removed?
And if so, I doubt the car would pass California smog/emissions requirements
Any information regarding this as well as the distinctive sounds of gear changing in your night driving videos would be appreciated
Pretty sleek looking Mercedes-Benz
Question about the driving video, it almost sounds like it’s shifting related to the speed or accelerator pressure or are you using paddle shifters?
I’ve never had an automatic transmission in any of my sports cars so not a fan but not familiar with the process either
Any additional information regarding shifting, using this automatic transmission would be helpful and interesting

@cheungms I purchased the car as you see it and did not get any stock items unfortunately. I have seen a couple sets out there, so can help source if needed.
Thanks!
Miles
Looks like the undercarriage in the front is missing? Possibly from the damage reported on the CarFax?
@cheungms im sure he has them buy lets hear it?
Does this come with the stock items, particularly the cats since I’m in need to pass emissions? Thanks
