Now up for auction is this 2016 Porsche 991 GT3 RS finished in GT Silver Metallic over black leather and Alcantara interior with Lava Orange stitching.  Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015, the RS version of the 991 GT3 debuted a naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine along with aggressive aerodynamics, wide fenders, a magnesium roof panel, and a lightweight interior with carbon bucket seats.  This 2016 example was configured at an original cost of over $191k with optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), the Front Axle Lift System, an extended range fuel tank, Satin Black painted wheels, and illuminated door sill guards in stainless steel.  It has also been customized with a rear wing delete, a style popularized by Jerry Seinfeld’s one-off Liquid Chrome Blue Metallic example.  Currently under the care of its third owner, this attractive 2016 GT3 RS is being offered for auction out of Washington with under 7k miles showing on the odometer.

This RS was ordered in GT Silver Metallic and remains preserved with clear paint protection film applied over the full front end, mirror covers, door edges, rocker panels, and rear quarter flares.  Compared with a standard GT3, the RS version features wide fenders with louvered vents and Turbo-style air intakes, a lightweight magnesium roof panel, and a larger rear wing.  The wing on this example has been deleted with specially made end caps covering the mounting points on the decklid.  The original rear wing remains preserved under clear protective film and is said to accompany the sale as well.  The factory 20”/21” center-lock wheels are presented in an Exclusive Satin Black painted finish and come dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires which were reportedly mounted at 4,800 miles.

Inside, this example showcases a black leather and Alcantara interior with carbon-fiber bucket seats and deviated stitching in Lava Orange.  Optional details include a steering wheel 12 o’clock marking in Lava Orange, seatbelts in Guards Red, and illuminated door sill guards in stainless steel. Rennline aluminum pedals and track mats have been installed along with a black painted roll bar and safety harnesses.  The original black carpet floormats will accompany the sale.

This first-generation 991 GT3 RS features a high-revving naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine that generates as much as 500 HP, which is fed to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission.  Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is accomplished in as little as 3 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200 MPH.  Performance features include rear-axle steering, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), Sport Exhaust system with center tailpipes in black, and optional Porsche ceramic composite brakes (PCCB) with yellow-painted calipers.  CARFAX shows a consistent history of annual maintenance and the seller reports that a 5k-mile scheduled service has been completed.

This sale will include the original rear wing, carpet floor mats, and a clean Montana title. Do not miss your chance to become the next owner of this unique and tastefully appointed GT3 RS.

Why does it take over 10mins for Pcar to "finalize" an auction?
