Now up for auction is this 2016 Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 finished in Guards Red over a black leather and Alcantara interior with deviated stitching. The ultimate track-oriented version of the 981, the original GT4 is equipped with a naturally aspirated mid-mounted 3.8L flat-six engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This first-year 2016 example comes well-optioned with the Sport Chrono Package, lightweight carbon-fiber bucket seats, and an extended range fuel tank. Acquired by the seller in the summer of 2020 at approximately 3,400 miles, this GT4 has been carefully maintained and routinely serviced ever since including a transmission recall completed by an authorized Porsche dealer earlier in 2021. Now showing just over 8,400 miles on the odometer, this GT4 is being offered for auction by its owner out of Pennsylvania.
This GT4 is finished in Guards Red (84A) and features optional wing supports in black as well as exclusive Satin Black painted wheels. Compared with a standard 981 Cayman, the GT4 features a more aggressive front fascia with a front splitter, larger side air intakes, and a fixed rear wing which provides for a significant increase in downforce. The exterior received a full paint correction and AMMO Reflex Pro ceramic coating in the Spring of 2021, and the seller notes some minor road-going wear on the front bumper as well as a paint chip on the driver’s side lower front wheel well. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The factory 20” GT4 wheels remain dressed in their original Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
The cabin is upholstered in black leather and Alcantara with deviated Guards Red stitching and brushed aluminum trim. The optional carbon-fiber full bucket seats are trimmed in matching upholstery with deviated stitching and GT4 logos embroidered in the headrests. Other details include an Alcantara-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with a Guards Red 12 o’clock marking, an Alcantara shift boot with Guards Red stitching, Guards Red door pulls, and stainless steel GT4-logo doorsills. Additional factory equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package, PCM with navigation, and a 9-speaker audio system. Some scuff marks are noted near the driver's footwell and the cabin is described to be in otherwise excellent condition.
This first-generation GT4 boasts a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine derived from the 991 Carrera S. As much as 385 HP and 309 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission, making for a 0-60 time of approximately 4 seconds and a top speed north of 180 MPH. In addition to its GT3 derived front suspension and steering rack, the GT4 features revised aerodynamic components which help to produce up to 220 lbs. of downforce at speed. The transmission was replaced under factory recall by Sloane Porsche of Warrington, Pennsylvania, in March of 2021. An oil filter change was completed by the same Porsche dealer in October of 2021. Some maintenance invoices are provided for reference in the gallery along with a DME report and multi-point inspection.

@BidAllWinNone By "bargain" I meant value for the money, not cheap or the absolute amount of money. With a GT4, whatever the cost, it's great value for the money. This one should be no exception.

This is a perfectly spec'd GT4 in a classic Porsche sports car color. Wow. It's also amongst the best bargains in sports cars anywhere in terms of value.

@scuderia the visors were not added later I believe these are factory. To confirm the steering wheel is not multi-functional. It is the standard GT4 factory steering wheel.
Nice looking GT4 and nice options. Were the visors added later as I don't see them on the option list. Also no mult-function steering wheel on GT4's .

@ccase04 I missed some of your questions. When I got the car it had about 3400 miles. All miles sense we’re me either driving to cars and coffee or taking the long way to get coffee on Saturday and Sundays! It’s been a wonderful ownership.
@01s2 I have owned the car for about 16 months. The car has never been tracked. I don’t have information on the original Owner but the DME report was clear so I would assume they took good care of the car. It was in very good condition when I got it. Nothing needed to be replaced or repaired other than recalls. The DME report is part of the attached documents on the listing. Someone listed the actual page number for the over rev to save everyone time.
