Offered for auction is this 2016 Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 finished in Sapphire Blue Metallic. This launch-year example was generously configured with optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), the Sport Chrono Package, Satin Black painted wheels, and a black leather interior with deviated stitching, carbon fiber trim, lightweight bucket seats, and several exclusive options. It was sold new from Porsche of Beachwood for over $114k and is now being offered for auction by its original owner out of Arizona showing approximately 12k miles on the odometer.
This Cayman was ordered in Sapphire Blue Metallic along with optional Bi-Xenon headlights in Black, wings in black, and exclusive Satin Black painted 20” GT4 wheels. A small scuff is also noted on the lower front spoiler as well as a few small chips on the front fascia, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the black leather upholstery is accented by deviated Racing Yellow stitching, seatbelts, and a 12 o’clock marking atop the steering wheel. Other exclusive options include a fuel cap with an aluminum-look finish, illuminated door sill guards in carbon fiber, and center console trim in carbon fiber. A complete list of equipment is provided below:
The original GT4 features a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine derived from the 991 Carrera S. As much as 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), and active transmission mounts. Optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) are equipped for superior stopping power, and the GT4 comes standard with lowered Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) including a GT3-derived front end. The transmission was previously replaced under factory recall and all routine oil services have been carried out per the manufacturer's recommended intervals.

@dinman sounds like one fun road trip!
Bid in the amount of $90,250
@sharkhunter84 I bought a GT4 here without PPF, wrapped it myself with temporary PPF, and drove it 1800 miles home before getting it paint corrected, and having actual PPF installed.
Just another option to look at if you win and decide to road trip it home.

@jmm23 thanks, so definitely no road trips home in this one before some xpel then!
@sharkhunter84 no PPF on the car
Hi there- is there PPF on the car and if so where? Thanks!

Everyone: new pictures of the panel that was repainted, the undercarriage, and some of the rock chips are now posted.

@mlw working on it. Doesn't look like I have any way to add photos to the listing. Need to contact a moderator but cannot get a hold of anyone right now
@jmm23 could you not add these to the listening for all potentials bidders?
@F1-DNA can you DM me your email? I can send pictures there
Thank you for your responses so far. It would be helpful to see close up pictures of the rock chips and also the area on the rear bumper that was repainted. Thanks
@Faraz yes I have it.
Bid in the amount of $82,500
Awesome spec, do you by chance have the original window sticker?
@mlw I am away for the weekend and will not be able to get paint readings. I can assure you that the paint is original factory paint. As for the tires, 2 brand new one just got put on the rear a month ago and the front 2 have a lot of tread left as well.
@seller If you don’t mind doing your best to capture all paint imperfections, any undercarriage photos.
Please provide detailed pictures of all the wheels, tire tread measurements and paint readings on all the panels. Thank you.
@Slytuna car has never had any door dings. Only imperfections are rock chips mostly on the front of the car and a few on the sides as well. They are small and not really visible unless looking closely
@Seller Can you please illustrate all paint imperfections? And has the car ever had any door dings, that may have been repaired by a PDR guy? The lighting is making it difficult to see if there are paint imperfections, or if it’s just the lighting.
@Jmcclurehi I didn’t experience any issues with the car whatsoever. The dealer reached out and told me there was a recall on my car so I just brought it in and took care of it.
What was your indication to get the warranty work done . I know this model has potential for the issue. Was there a particular event that caused you to have it looked at. Just curious for future knowledge. Thank you.
This is another nice one. Too bad not to have ppf on. Still waiting on mine to be delivered! GLWS
@F1-DNA can’t reply to you directly with a picture, but the section of the bumper was blended by a high end body shop here in Az that does Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc. They did a fantastic job and truly would never know any work was done. Not sure exactly how it happened as I didn’t catch that there was even anything wrong there until a few days later. You can see that section of the car in the gallery.
Can you explain a bit more about the "small area of the lower rear bumper" that had to be repainted? What was the reason behind this repair? Do you have any photos of before/after?
@jb9573 car has never been tracked. All street miles! No ppf has been installed.
@jmm23, does "no reported track use since delivery" mean since you purchased it or does it mean since the new tires were installed? If there is track use, would you please characterize that? Also, are any of the panels/fascias covered with PPF? Thanks! By the way, gorgeous car.
Bid in the amount of $82,016
@Mannym5 they fixed it. Thank you!
All, PCAR made a mistake. Car is located in Scottsdale, AZ.
@jmm23 Ok, thanks. You may want to have the PCARMARKET guys update the listing. It currently states "is now being offered for auction by its original owner out of Ohio"
@Mannym5 Scottsdale Arizona
Beautiful GT4 and great spec.. is the car currently located in Ohio or Arizona?
