The first-generation Cayman GT4 features aggressive aerodynamic bodywork, GT3-derived suspension components, and a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This 2016 example is finished in White over a Black leather and Alcantara interior with Platinum Grey stitching. It was specified for European Delivery at the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen and came optioned with Full Bucket Seats, Guards Red seatbelts, the Sport Chrono Package, wing supports in black, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation. The car was purchased by the seller in 2023 and has been modified with a carbon fiber rear wing gurney flap, red-painted wheels, GiroDisc brake rotors, a BBi StreetCup harness bar, and a Speedcom Communications 2-person intercom system. Showing under 17k miles on the odometer, this 981 Cayman GT4 is now being offered for auction out of Virginia.
Based on the 981 Cayman, the GT4 features a unique front end with a lip spoiler and larger grilles, side air intake scoops, a fixed rear wing, and a rear diffuser with dual center-mounted tailpipes. This example is finished in White and equipped with optional black wing supports, an aftermarket carbon fiber gurney flap, bi-xenon headlamps, LED taillights, red brake calipers, and red-painted 20” GT4 wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2019. The seller indicates the paint was preserved beneath a full-body vinyl wrap during their ownership which has been recently removed. Slight scrapes are noted on the lower driver’s side quarter panel and intake scoop, and some tire debris is present on the paint. The seller adds that the car saw track use several times during HPDE events. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black leather and Alcantara interior is complemented by Platinum Grey stitching, brushed aluminum trim, optional Guards Red seatbelts, and a red-painted BBi StreetCup harness bar. Accessories include a three-spoke Alcantara steering wheel, optional carbon fiber Full Bucket Seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Sport Chrono stopwatch, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, and a Speedcom Communications 2-person intercom. The seller adds that the intercom system is easily removable, and some scuff marks are present on the door sills.
Derived from the contemporary 911 Carrera S, the 981 Cayman GT4 is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine rated at 385 HP and 309 lb.-ft of torque. It shares front suspension components with the 911 GT3 and comes standard with a limited-slip differential, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), and active transmission mounts. This GT4 has been fitted with upgraded GiroDisc brake rotors and the seller reports recent maintenance includes brake and clutch system service, driveline service, and an oil change.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Listed is a great example of one of Porsche's greatest achievements; the 981 Cayman GT4! With the Mid-Engine Rear Wheel Drive layout, this car punches well above its weight. Owned it since the summer of 2023 and am sad to see it go. Euro delivery car if you're into that thing. The optional Carbon Fiber sport seats and Sport Chrono package are not only magnificent to behold but are also a huge value add for the 981 platform. This car has had all maintenance items addressed ready for the new owner to enjoy!”

@jmroot no current dme report for this listing.
@tburke67 not sure. would be a perfect candidate for it.
@ajspeaker oem wheels painted red. absolutely blemish free.
@ajspeaker pfc 11 pads front and rear. rotors have approximately 3-4 track events on them.
@ajspeaker have not gotten an estimate but the damage is purely cosmetic and would need a repaint to be back to factory.
Hey all. Rapid fire answering any questions before the end of the auction.
@Orioles128 there is not a dme report currently with the car.

Do you have the dme report?
Looking at the damage to the drivers side air intake behind the door...curious if you got a repair estimate? From the photos it's hard to tell what needs to be done. It's not a deal breaker since this is an almost perfect dedicated HPDE car but a blemish nonetheless. Thanks
What a Croc……..glad it wasn’t available 3 months ago……….i might not’ve been able to resist………and it will be well beyond the budget I was enforcing.
I’ll have to look into the installed in-car communicator……….sounds like a nice tool for instruction at the track.
What pads are fitted, stock? Any idea how many track sessions/hours are on the giro disk rotors? Thanks
@ajspeaker OEM Wheels were powder coated red. They have less than 25 miles on the tires and wheels.
Were the OEM wheels painted red or are they aftermarket?
@tburke67 It is all stock!
Great example! Did you or previous owner add after market camber plates, toe links and/or DSC controller?
Can you post a current DME record? Thanks!
