Now up for auction is this 2016 Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 finished in Guards Red over a black leather and Alcantara interior with deviated stitching in Guards Red. The original high-performance track-oriented Cayman, this 2016 GT4 features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine derived from the Carrera S. This first year example was configured at an original cost of just under $100k with an extended range fuel tank, 2-zone automatic climate control, the Carbon Fiber Interior Package, and full carbon bucket seats. It was leased from new by the current owner and purchased through Porsche Huntington in 2019. In addition to its Forgeline 3-piece wheels, this GT4 has been equipped with a 4-point BBi roll bar, AP 2-piece brake rotors, and a host of suspension upgrades for refined handling. Said to have always been garage kept and meticulously maintained, this GT4 is now being offered for auction by its original owner out of New York while showing just over 18k miles on the odometer.
This GT4 is finished in Guards Red and features optional wing supports in black. The seller reports a few minor touchups along the leading edge of the front hood and near the rear tow hook cover as well as some pitting on the windshield. Additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The rear fender lips have been slightly rolled to accommodate the 305-section Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires mounted on Forgeline GA3R 3-piece forged aluminum wheels measuring 19" x 9" front and 19" x 11" rear. These tires were installed in September of 2020 at 16,900 miles and have reportedly seen two days of track use. The wheels are held securely in place by a set of MSI professional-grade wheel studs.
Inside, this 981 features a black leather and Alcantara upholstered cabin with deviated stitching in Guards Red and the Carbon Fiber Interior Package. Other factory details include a fire extinguisher, full carbon bucket seats, and Exclusive center console trim in carbon fiber. The driver is also supplied with 2-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, and a SiriusXM satellite radio receiver. A Guards Red painted BBi 4-point roll bar has been installed along with Schroth 6-point GT3-style safety harnesses and Cantrell sub strap mounts. The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
This first-generation GT4 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine derived from the 991 Carrera S. Up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, allowing the GT4 to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds. The original transmission in this GT4 was replaced with a newer and stronger unit under warranty by Porsche in October of 2017 at 9,300 miles. BMC air filters have been installed and the suspension has been upgraded with Tarett adjustable front thrust arm bushings and front LCA inner monoballs for proper track alignment, LCA shims for camber adjustment, TPC offset rear toe links with locking plates for increased rear-end stability under threshold braking, and a DSC Sport V3 damping controller for a more compliant ride on-road and better control on the track. The stopping power has also been improved with AP J-hook 2-piece floating rotors, and a Tarett brake caliper stud kit. All Porsche-recommended service is said to have been carried out as well as frequent fluid and filter changes. The spark plugs and coil packs were recently changed as recommended, and all service records are said to have been kept. Service was carried out by an authorized Porsche dealer and a reputable independent Porsche shop in Huntington, NY.

More complete underbody photos added today (pics 146-150). Couple of other notes: 1) I have both original keys. 2) There is a small indentation (1 cm) at the very bottom edge of the body panel as it tucks under the car in front of the rear passenger wheel. It is cosmetic only and is only noticeable on close inspection when under the car. Most likely from a lift arm during servicing.

Thanks for looking. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a well-sorted, well-maintained street/track GT4. I'm pleased to answer any questions.
A couple of important notes. 1) This is a one-owner car--I've had it since delivery. Carfax lists "2 previous owners" because Porsche Financial is technically the owner during the lease period. I then purchased it at the end of my lease. 2) The stock brake rotors and pads (with essentially zero use) are included, as are a brand-new in-box set of replacement AP brake rotors (friction rings) and PFC11 brake pads. Stock rear toe links and stock PASM module also included, should you wish to switch back to the stock setup. Stock 20" GT4 wheels and tires available for separate purchase.
