Up for auction is this 2016 Porsche 981 Cayman GTS finished in Rhodium Silver Metallic over a black smooth-finish leather interior with Alcantara. One of the most highly acclaimed sports cars on the road, the 981 Cayman GTS offers performance-oriented factory equipment and responsive power from its naturally-aspirated flat-six engine. This Canadian-market 2016 example showcases high-end factory options including 20” 911 Turbo wheels, Premium Package Plus with Adaptive Sport Seats, and the Infotainment Package with Bose Surround Sound. With a recent pre-purchase inspection conducted through an authorized Porsche dealership, this generously equipped Cayman GTS is now being offered by its seller in British Columbia while showing approximately 42k kilometers (26k miles) on the odometer.
Finished in Rhodium Silver Metallic, the paint on this 981 is said to be in very good overall condition except for some minor imperfections near the side air intakes. In addition to its factory “GTS” side designations, this example features optional 20” 911 Turbo wheels that were configured at an original cost of $7680 (CAD). These wheels were also dressed in new Michelin tires within the last 4k kilometers (2485 miles).
The black smooth-finish leather and Alcantara interior is said to remain in excellent shape. This GTS features the rare option of ParkAssist with a reversing camera and the following options are listed on the original $108,150 (CAD) specification sheet:

A mid-mounted 3.4 L flat-six engine sends 340 HP to the rear wheels by way of a refined 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, allowing this GTS to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 4.5 seconds. Standard performance features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), the Sport Chrono Package, and Sport Exhaust. This example has also been optioned with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) which includes a limited-slip rear differential. All service has been kept up to date and a full pre-purchase inspection was recently carried out by an authorized local Porsche dealership at 36k kilometers. Recent maintenance items also include an oil service and new front brake pads and rotors. Accompanied by a PPI and clean CARFAX, this GTS is just waiting to be driven.

@bmzilby it was always serviced by Porsche Langley here in BC. I do not have the records, but the Carproof shows when and where each service was, I could get them pulled for you.

@bmzilby it's a bit low. I used to drive my m3 in the snow but I'd rather let this one sir idle. The car has to warranty left, but it can be cpo'd by your local Porsche dealer if you want. I think it's ~$3-5k?

@bmzilby : You have a short easy winter . Why not put on good winter tires ? I am just north of Toronto , Ontario . We store our Porsches for 5 months . Anyhow , Is there any warranty left or can it be CPO'd by a Porsche dealer ? I think it can be done and is really easy , if it was always serviced by a Porsche dealer .
@msamra123 yea, not sure why it says 3 owners. My Carproof here in Canada says 1 owner before me. Not sure if it includes the dealership I bought it from?

@bmzilby hey, actually I am the second owner. I have had the car for just over 5 months and need an SUV (Snowing currently here in Vancouver) so I need to get out of it. Can't drive it for 3 months now, so I'm currently driving my fiance's car until I figure something out

@Porsche Haha, right?! It took a lot of waiting when I originally started looking for this car. Wanted one with the turbo wheels, but it's very rare. The other option that seems to be very rare is the back up sensors with the front and rear sensors.
Enjoy the car while you can. One of the best cars I've driven, and I'm coming from an M4 GTS and a few f80 M3's.
@cerb1958 hey, so get a confirmation today. It breaks down like this:
The car would need to be safety checked at the border. Once it is checked there, the duty would need to be payed and the car can be transported to you. Then once you go to register the car in your state, the taxes would be paid.
No emissions compliance or modifications need to be done as the car is stock and meets the US spec outlines.

@cerb1958 I believe the car wouldn't need to as the car is the same spec for the Canadian and US market, so Porsche can provide my dealer with a manufacturer letter to bypass the emission test and safety compliance.
I will confirm this with my dealer today and update ?
