Up for auction is this 2016 Porsche 981 Cayman GTS finished in White over a black leather and Alcantara interior. The last GTS model of the 981 generation, this 2016 Cayman features a naturally aspirated flat-six engine connected to a 6-speed manual transmission as well as optional Sport Suspension, Premium Package Plus, the Infotainment Package with BOSE® Surround Sound System, ParkAssist, and 20” 911 Turbo Design wheels. It was purchased by the seller in December of 2019 as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from Porsche Tysons Corner at just over 9k miles and has since received a full application of clear paint protection film as well as its recommended 4-year/40k-mile service. Currently showing just over 14k miles on the odometer, this nicely optioned 6-speed Cayman GTS is being offered for auction by its owner out of Tennessee.
Finished in nonmetallic White, this GTS can be distinguished from a standard Cayman S by its more aggressive front and rear fascias, blackout headlamp surrounds, smoked taillamp lenses, and “GTS” designations on the doors. This example was optioned with 20” 911 Turbo Design wheels, which are complemented by a 20mm lowered ride height courtesy of the optional Sport Suspension package. The full exterior was covered in a layer of clear Xpel paint protection film at the time of the current owner’s purchase in January of 2020. The car has seen two days of track use for driver education and is reported to have otherwise been garage-kept and used sparingly on weekends by the current owner, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. A set of new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were mounted within the last year and retain approximately 7/32” tread.
Inside, you will find a black leather and Alcantara GTS interior with deviated stitching and carbon fiber trim. Optional details include roof lining in Alcantara, center console trim in carbon fiber, instrument dials in Silver, Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way) with Memory Package, ParkAssist (front and rear) with reversing camera, and the Infotainment Package with BOSE® Surround Sound System. The Premium Package Plus also includes dual-zone climate control, Porsche Entry & Drive, and automatically dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor.
This Cayman GTS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.4L flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission that sends up to 340 HP and 280 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels. The GTS offers 15 HP and 7 lb.-ft of torque more than the Cayman S and comes equipped with the Sport Chrono Package and Sport Exhaust as standard. This example has also been optioned with Sport Suspension (X73) which provides a lower, firmer, and more responsive ride. The recommended four-year 4-year/40k-mile service has been completed under the current ownership at 12,377 miles including a new engine air filter, cabin air filter, spark plugs, and brake fluid flush. New OEM brake pads and rotors were also installed at 12,800 miles.

@PorscheGeek I am not sure I understand the question. If you are talking driving experience, I haven't driven a GT4, but I do have a 991.1 GT3 and can tell you they are very different cars and both are excellent in their own way. My GT3 has the carbon fiber bucket seats that are good for the track, but not so much fun driving any distance in the car. The GTS on the other hand, is a great car for a couple of hour drive and yet is still very engaging. I love the manual transmission and the X73 suspension that make the car a pretty special ride. It all comes down to what you are looking for, if you want a car that you can take to the track, have a great time, and drive it back home, a GT4 is a better fit. If you're looking for a car that you can daily drive that will make you smile when you drive it around town, I believe the GTS is a better fit. I hope this helps.

I just got back from Porsche of Nashville and they ran the DME Report. It showed:

I will figure out how to upload the report momentarily. The Porsche technician said it best, " this car is still a baby".

Hi edtaylorjr, since it was option with the smoking package, are you aware if anyone have been smoking in the car and if there’s a strong smoke smell?

@ScottyC The in-service date for the car was 09-30-2016. The CPO warranty will run out in September of 2022.
