We are pleased to present this 2017 Dodge Viper ACR Extreme Targa finished in Billet Silver Metallic with black and red stripes over a Demonic Red leather interior. After taking delivery of the car, the owner had a custom targa top conversion carried out by Prefix Performance of Michigan, an engineering firm that had been involved in the production, development, and racing of the Dodge Viper up until the final 2017 model year. Only two ACR Extreme Targas are said to have been created, and this particular example is the only one in the United States. This Viper ACR Extreme features an 8.4L V10 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and was generously optioned with Brembo Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes, and a Harman Kardon 18-speaker High-Performance Audio system as well as the Carbon Fiber, GTS Laguna Interior, and Extreme Aero packages. It was further modified by Prefix Performance with an American Racing Headers exhaust system and a Stage 1 engine tune. Now showing just over 3k miles on the odometer, this one-of-a-kind Viper ACR Extreme Targa is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee.

This Viper is finished in Billet Silver Metallic Clear-Coat (PSC) with the optional Red Driver Paint Stripe and Black Center Band Stripe over the top of the car.  Carried out when new in 2017, the Prefix Performance Targa conversion included the deletion of the factory roof, replaced with a removable painted carbon-fiber panel that can be stored in the trunk when not in use.  The conversion was completed at a cost of nearly $17k. A layer of clear paint protection film has been applied to the full exterior, and the seller notes the car has been well cared for as part of a private collection in southern Florida. The optional Extreme Aero Package includes an adjustable front splitter, an adjustable Extreme Aero Wing, a unique hood, and a rear diffuser, which help produce up to 2000 lbs. of downforce at the Viper’s top speed of 177 MPH. The Exterior Carbon Fiber Package equips carbon-fiber front brake duct bezels, rear brake duct bezels, and a rear taillight panel. The massive red-painted Brembo Carbon Ceramic Matrix brake calipers sit behind 19”x11” and 19”x13” ACR Gloss Black painted wheels. These exclusive wheels come dressed in Viper ACR-specific Kumho Ecsta V720 tires.

The interior is upholstered in Demonic Red Laguna leather with decorative accent stitching. The deeply bolstered Laguna bucket seats feature 6-way power adjustability, textured inserts, embossed Viper logos on the headrests, matching Demonic Red seatbelts, and pass-throughs with TeamTech racing harnesses. Optional black carbon-fiber trim lines the dashboard, steering wheel, center console, and door panels. The matching leather-wrapped SRT steering wheel frames a 7” instrument cluster with a satin silver bezel, a 220-MPH speedometer, a 6,300-RPM tachometer, auxiliary gauges, and a customizable driver information display. Standard features include an 8.4” Uconnect central touchscreen display with navigation, automatic climate control, a Keyless Enter-N-Go passive entry system, and an optional 18-speaker Harman Kardon high-performance audio system.

This Viper ACR Extreme is powered by a naturally aspirated all-aluminum 8.4L V10, which can generate up to 645 HP and 600 lb.-ft of torque stock. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission with a speed-sensing limited-slip differential. The ACR Extreme package includes a 10-way adjustable suspension, stiffer front and rear springs, a five-way adjustable stability control system, and a launch control function. An invoice from Prefix Performance details the Targa-roof conversion, installation of the ARH exhaust system, Stage 1 tune, and full-body paint protection film at a cost of $24,899. The seller reports all routine services to have been kept up to date.
