This 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4S comes tastefully appointed in a Graphite Blue Metallic finish over a Luxor Beige interior. It was generously optioned with SportDesign exterior mirrors, wheels painted in Platinum Satin, a PDK automatic transmission, Premium Package Plus, Power Steering Plus, Rear Axle Steering, Lane Change Assist, and much more. Remaining under its Porsche Certified Pre-Owned warranty until September 2024, this Targa 4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York showing approximately 29k miles on the odometer.

This example comes finished in Graphite Blue Metallic with a black roof panel, a silver Targa band, and a wraparound glass rear window. Optional equipment includes SportDesign exterior mirrors, painted headlight cleaner covers, and wheels in an exclusive Platinum Satin finish. This 4S rides on 20” Carrera S wheels fitted with colored Porsche crested center caps and Pirelli P Zero tires. The seller adds that a layer of ceramic coating was applied in December 2022 and this example has always been stored in a climate-controlled garage. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, the driver is greeted by a Luxor Beige interior featuring 14-way Power Sport Seats and Porsche-crested headrests. Additional equipment includes a multifunction and heated steering wheel, the Bose Surround Sound System, Lane Change Assist, and the Premium Package Plus which includes auto-dimming mirrors, the Light Design Package, Porsche Entry & Drive, front seat heating and ventilation, and LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus.

This Targa 4S is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine rated at 420 HP and 368 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, allowing for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in as little as 4 seconds. Optional performance features include Power Steering Plus and Rear Axle Steering which provides superior maneuverability at any speed. The CARFAX report shows a total of 19 service entries between 2016 and 2022, and the seller adds that scheduled service has been carried out by Porsche authorized dealers under their ownership.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller wants you to know: “Have owned this car since June 2021. It is as nice, clean, and perfect as it was as new. Has been very lightly used by me as I am a small collector and have many vehicles. This Targa has never been driven in snow or other rough weather -and has always been stored in a heated and cooled garage. It runs, looks, and feels like a new car - plenty of power and a real head-turner. This color combination is really a very unique spec. The car was polished, and ceramic coated in December of 2022 and has been outside only once. Selling due to low use, need for space, and other vehicles in my collection.”

@Yugofirst yes - this is a targa 4s - and response to another question - I have all the books and original window sticker

  • Yugofirst (registered bidder) 1 yearago

The build sheet shows 'Targa' not Targa 4S. Is that simply a typo?

  • geb217 (seller) 1 yearago

I received a question about the front license plate. I do have a bracket and adaptor that screws into the front bumper tow port. I will include that with the sale. ( i dont like the look of the tag in front so I just keep it in the car if I get stopped - hasn’t happened yet)

  • geb217 (seller) 1 yearago

Last day of the auction - thanks to all those interested.
I’ll be avail throughout the day for any last minute questions. A quick search of ‘17 Targa 4S for sale (w similar mileage) show average prices +/- 130k. This car has full Porsche CPO for 18 months and is a unique, classy spec in pristine condition. Bid with confidence and good luck!

just to confirm, The Porche C.P.O. warranty is transferable?

@Slip356 Thanks for noticing the routine servicing. The former owners ( like me) stay on top of fluids, maintenance schedule, etc. The only unusual service was to replace the instrument cluster ( by me) as there was a short in the original cluster that required replacement, not repair. All done by Huntington Porsche with no change to instrument data like trip or total mileage. Car is in perfect condition and battery is new ( not original) .

  • Slip356 1 yearago

I see lots of service performed. Original battery? Beautiful Targa.

@muddymogriffin - yes - seats are ventilated heat and cool - thx

  • muddymogriffin (registered bidder) 1 yearago

My mistake. Just read the narrative again that notes heated and ventilated front seats. Great option for open air travels. Thanks.

  • muddymogriffin (registered bidder) 1 yearago

    Greetings,
I noted the heated steering wheel on the build sheet which is a great option for us in the northern tier states. Does the premium package/power seat options include heated and/or ventilated front seats? Great color combination by the way. Thanks much.

Picture of CPO letter confirming coverage until 9/13/24 has been uploaded.

  • geb217 (seller) 1 yearago

@Cward2 I really never thought about the wheels - I like the look of the satin finish on them now, not sure darker platinum would look good - might be too much going on- but buyer can decide. BTW - wheels are scratch/rash free.

  • Cward2 1 yearago

Bid in the amount of $65,000

  • Cward2 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@Cward2 I missed the September 2024 reference for certification. This car should do quite well. GLWA

  • Cward2 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@brian911 is correct on the wheels. Platinum Satin wheels would actually make this car more good looking. Notoriously hard to color match when refinishing.

Any time left on the Porsche certification (or did I miss it)?

  • geb217 (seller) 1 yearago

Thank you for the interest in this beautiful Targa 4S. Though I haven’t driven it much, I can promise the ride is crisp, the handling exceptional - and all features function properly and as built. The Targa model gives you the best of both worlds- the open air feel of a convertible and the solid/rigidity of a coupe. The car has Apple car play, and the Bose sound system is rich and clear. The graphite blue is unique and interesting, and changes look with varying light. Combined with the Luxor beige cabin, this car build gets lots of positive comments. Please note pics 112 & 113 for what I believe to be the truest example of graphite blue. Avail for any questions and comments.

    @TheGerman The fronts are “5117” ( 51st week of 2017) and rears are “4920” ( 49th week of 2020)

  • geb217 (seller) 1 yearago

@TheGerman the front tires are 2017 and the rears are 2020. All four have substantial tread - no need to replace.

  • geb217 (seller) 1 yearago

@brian911 The wheels on the car currently came with the car when I purchased it. They have a satin finish and I assumed they were platinum satin wheels. I believed they were original to the car.

Absolutely stunning color combo. My wife has this exact combo in her 718 Cayman S and constantly gets compliments on the vehicle. Great options too, this IMO is the cruising/touring 911 and doesn’t need all the chrono etc. perfect build for this model! GLWA!
