Now available for auction is this 2017 Porsche 991.2 Targa 4S finished in Night Blue Metallic over a two-tone Natural Leather interior in Espresso and Cognac.  Custom ordered at an original sticker price of over $162k, this Targa 4S features a 7-speed manual transmission along with an impressive list of options including the Sport Package, extended leather trim, deviated stitching, illuminated doorsill guards, painted side skirts, the Burmester High-End Surround Sound System, and much more.  Remaining under the care of its original owner and routinely serviced by an authorized Porsche dealer, this beautiful Targa 4S was previously listed in PCARMARKET and is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 15k miles showing on the odometer.

This 991.2 was ordered in Night Blue Metallic along with painted side skirts, painted rear badging, painted headlight cleaner covers, and wheels in an exclusive Platinum Satin finish.  SportDesign exterior mirrors are included with the optional Sport Package along with Sport Exhaust tailpipes in silver.  The seller notes that the car has always been garage kept while only being hand washed and never subjected to winter driving conditions.  A layer of ceramic coating was applied to the full exterior when new and has been refreshed annually ever since. Some light scratches are present on the rocker panel below the driver's door sill as well as another small scratch on the passenger side rear quarter, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.  This 4S rides on 20” Carrera S wheels fitted with colored Porsche crested center caps and Pirelli P Zero tires.  Two new rear tires were mounted earlier in 2021 and the right rear wheel exhibits a small damage on the outer edge.

Inside, the driver is greeted by a handsome two-tone Espresso and Cognac Natural Leather interior with deviated stitching and extended leather upholstery covering the steering column casing, dashboard trim, and sun visors.  The footwells are lined with optional leather-edged carpet mats and the entranceways feature illuminated doorsill guards in stainless steel.  Other optional details include a gear lever, pedals, and footrest in aluminum, seatbelts in Luxor Beige, heated/ventilated 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats with Porsche crested headrests, a heated multifunction steering wheel, Lane Change Assist (LCA), and the Burmester High-End Surround Sound System.  A GT Sport steering wheel is also included with the Sport Package.  Minimal signs of wear are noted by the seller and a complete list of factory options is provided in the gallery.

This Targa 4S is powered by a 3.0 L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine paired with a 7-speed manual transmission.  As much as 420 HP and 368 lb.-ft of torque are distributed to all four wheels allowing this Targa to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds with a top speed of nearly 190 MPH.  The optional $6,290 Sport Package (P3P) includes the Sport Chrono Package, Rear Axle Steering, and Sport Exhaust System for enhanced performance.  Annual oil changes and scheduled maintenance have been kept up to date by Porsche Gold Coast of Long Island. The water pump was replaced in June of 2020 and a major service was completed in June of 2021 including a brake fluid flush, oil change, maintenance inspection, and mounting and balancing of two new tires.

This sale will be accompanied by the original owner's manuals, a set of two painted keys with a leather key pouch, the original window sticker, an extra set of carpet floor mats, and a clean title.  This custom-appointed Targa 4S sports a timeless color combination along with a host of desirable factory options. If you have been in search of a modern Porsche 911 Targa with a manual transmission, this low-mileage 2017 4S is not to be overlooked.

@LloydStC I am not a detailer or auto-body expert, but the scratches depicted on the driver-side rocker panel and passenger rear quarter appear to be limited to the clear coat. Please refer to the photos in the gallery. Thx for your continued interest in my car.

Are the pictured scratches in just the clear coat, into the base coat or through the base coat into the primer?

  • Briandl (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@Pskallman Nice to hear from you and thanks again for being so understanding 2 years ago. I hope you’re enjoying your 50th Anniversary everyday!!!

  • Pskallman (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@Briandl I was the winning bidder back in 2019. No doubt, as disappointed I was at the time that you, having auctioned it, had seller’s remorse, I was able to put myself in your shoes. Soon after, I won an auction for a 2014 50th Anniversary 911 on PCARMARKET.

    That makes sense. Thanks

  • Briandl (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@Magnusvon To be very specific, the reason that the CarFax shows 2 owners is because I leased the car originally back in 2016 and then bought it at lease end in the fall of 2019. The video of the targa top motion and pic of the engine will be posted ASAP. Thx again for your interest.

  • Magnusvon (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Thank you. Will you post a video of the top being opened and closed and a pic of the engine?
    Thanks

@Magnusvon I’m happy to explain. As I discussed in a prior comment, I speced this car myself in Feb 2016 at Roslyn Porsche (Now know as Porsche Gold Coast) and took delivery in July 2016. I listed the car on PCAR in Sept 2019 and once the auction ended I spoke to the winning bidder and explained that I was having sellers remorse and couldn’t go thru with the sale, luckily he was very understanding when I explained that I loved the car and couldn’t replace her at the time. Fast fwrd to now and I have a new Targa on order and it’s finally time to sell her. Please feel free to reach out to PCAR directly and ask to speak to James and he will confirm the story. Thx for your interest in my car.

@LloydStC All of the service records are with the car, I will ask PCAR to post them ASAP and yes they will be included with the sale. As for the front end, it’s in excellent condition for the year/mileage and there is nothing abnormal to report.

  • LloydStC (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

Are service records available and will they be included with the sale? Also, what is the condition of the front end with regard to rock chips? Thank you.

  • Briandl (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@AndyL215 Great question. Listed the car on PCAR back in Sept 2019, auction ended and I developed seller’s remorse and didn’t go through with the sale, love this car. I have a new one on order, so it’s finally time to sell her. Thanks again for your interest.

  • AndyL215 (registered bidder) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@Briandl I’m lost I did a little research after i asked this question and it says this car was sold before on Pcar. So how are you the original owner ?

  • Briandl (seller) 2 years, 5 monthsago

@AndyL215 Yes I’m the original owner, ordered the car back in early 2016, took delivery July 2016. All paint is 100% original. I will have PCAR take some pics of the scratches. I’ve asked PCAR to have the DME report done as they have possession of the car. Thanks for your interest.

    Thank you
