The F90 marks the 6th and current generation of BMW’s venerable M5 sports sedan and is the first to offer BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. This 2018 BMW M5 comes finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over a Black Merino Leather interior and includes an electric rear window blind, M Multifunction seats, a Harman/Kardon sound system, adaptive LED headlights, 20” M double-spoke wheels, and more. Also featuring an upgraded M Competition steering wheel as well as a Noelle Performance tune with an advertised 850 HP output, this M5 is now being offered for auction on dealer consignment out of Texas while showing approximately 42k miles on the odometer.
Based on the G30 5-Series sedan, the F90 M5 features more aggressive styling with redesigned bumpers, side skirts, fender vents, a trunk lid spoiler, aerodynamic wing mirrors, and quad exhaust outlets. This example is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic and features custom black badging and front kidney grilles to match the factory gloss Shadowline trim. It rides on 20” Style 706M double-spoke wheels in black with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires mounted in January 2022. The seller notes minor road rash is present on the front bumper as well as a small ding on the rear bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black Merino Leather upholstery and Anthracite Alcantara headliner as well as Piano Black lacquer trim and an upgraded M Competition wheel in Alcantara. Amenities include four-zone automatic climate control, climate-controlled and massaging M Multifunction seats, heated rear seats, a power rear window blind, soft-close automatic doors, Comfort Access, a Harman/Kardon surround sound system, navigation system, Apple CarPlay, BMW Gesture Control, Driving Assistant Plus, Parking Assistance System Plus, real-time traffic information, and a sliding glass sunroof.
The M5’s 4.4-liter S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces up to 617 HP torque stock, driving all four wheels through an 8-speed M Double-Clutch Transmission (DCT) with Drivelogic and a rear-biased xDrive AWD system. The seller states routine maintenance has been observed and a fully reversible ECU tune was applied by Noelle Performance in 2023 which is claimed to provide up to 850 HP and 740 lb.-ft of torque. Additionally, the in-car dynamometer provides real-time engine output data.

The 5 series BMW is a highly desirable and practical premium luxury sedan. But let's not pretend that this car is not about speed. In box stock form this car is already one of the fastest sedans available sprinting 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and running the quarter mile in the low 11's. Now add nearly 40% more horsepower AND torque and this car is rocketed into the supercar stratosphere delivering a sprint to 60 mph in a face melting 2.2 seconds and eclipsing quarter mile runs deep into the 10's.
Have I or the owner of this car tried to prove those numbers out or will we go out and record a video of full throttle launch mode? Hell no! Because its not about racing, its about having access to that startling amount of power in a street car when the need for speed calls. Exploring its limits should be reserved for the track but operating it 7/10ths will still give you more thrills than 99% of the cars on the road. Yet unlike many hyper tuned cars that are more at home on the edge, this car can be driven modestly with out balking.
The Noelle tunes are bar none, the most comprehensively engineered flash tune ever offered on any car as they incorporate so much more than air fuel ratios; it delves deep into the transmission, differential, steering, and stability control systems to ensure the original character of the car is maintained and that it is no less predictable, safe and reliable than the original article.

For those of you out west, I have confirmed that this car will pass smog with flying colors since it still sports its original unmodified exhaust and intake. There are currently six authorized Noelle installers in CA. If for some reason the BMW dealer does an update, the car will revert to the factory settings but the Noelle reflash can be reloaded for just the cost of the installer's labor. Any Noelle specific revision is free for the life of the car.

This 2018 M5 represents the first year of the F90 platform which remains current today. These latest 5-series sedans offer exceptional creature comforts and a full suite of still relevant technology; it’s the right sized automobile to accommodate a busy modern family life (Recaro Monza child safety seat not included).
No one said modern family life should be boring.
In factory M base trim the 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine is rated at 617 horsepower and 553 foot pounds of torque in front of an 8-speed ZF shiftable automatic transmission driving all four wheels; impressive by any measure. However, this car was recently the beneficiary of a Noelle Performance Flash Tune elevating this car to a mind bending 850 horsepower and 730 foot pounds of torque. The upgrade was installed just a few thousand miles ago and required no hardware modifications and is completely reversible should your insurance agent need a ride. These Noelle flash tunes are meticulously engineered well within the mechanical limits of the drivetrain to run on pump gas and to be completely streetable and benign under normal driving conditions (good luck with that).
This Black Sapphire Metallic on Black Leather M5 is generously adorned with aggressive but subtle M cues that set the car apart from lesser models. It is in excellent overall condition and has received a recent oil service. It is good to go... go very fast.
