Unveiled at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Mercedes-AMG GT R was situated at the top of its model range as the most high-performance AMG GT variant yet. It features manually adjustable coilover suspension, active underbody aerodynamics, variable traction control, and a 577 HP twin-turbo V8 engine. This 2018 example is finished in Performance Green Magno over a Black leather and Dinamica suede interior. It comes equipped with the optional AMG High-Performance Ceramic Composite Braking System, AMG Exterior Carbon Package, AMG Interior Night Package, an AMG Performance microfiber steering wheel, heated AMG Performance seats, a Burmester sound system, and more. Delivered new in California, this Mercedes-AMG GT R is now being offered for auction with approximately 18k miles on the odometer.
Taking inspiration from the AMG GT3 race car, the Mercedes-AMG GT R features an adjustable rear wing, front air intakes, carbon fiber front fenders, a carbon fiber front splitter, a central exhaust outlet, and an aggressive rear diffuser. It incorporates active underbody fairing as well as an electronically controlled front splitter and front grille shutters. This example is finished in Performance Green Magno and features the AMG Exterior Carbon Package with a carbon fiber fixed rear wing and side mirror housings. Other features include a carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber side skirts, gold brake calipers, straked fender vents, a rearview camera, electric folding mirrors, LED taillights, automatic LED headlamps, and 19”/20” AMG 10-spoke wheels in black with polished outer lips. The car rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. The seller notes paint protection film has been applied to the exterior and some scuff marks are present on the wheels. The cabin is appointed with Black leather and Dinamica suede upholstery accented by deviated yellow stitching and matte carbon fiber trim pieces. The optional AMG Interior Night Package includes an AMG Performance steering wheel in black Dinamica suede along with high-gloss black accents for the steering wheel spokes, shift paddles, and headrest inserts. Other options include heated AMG Performance seats with memory, door sills in carbon fiber, a black Dinamica suede headliner, a matte carbon fiber luggage compartment brace, automatic climate control, auto-dimming mirrors, the Parktronic System, Keyless-Go entry, and a Burmester sound system. The yellow AMG Drive Select knob mounted in the dashboard allows the driver to select between nine variable traction control modes.
The AMG GT R features a hand-built 4.0-liter M178 twin-turbocharged V8 engine rated at 577 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission, a lightweight carbon-composite driveshaft, and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. The AMG GT R can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds with a claimed top speed of 198 MPH. It comes equipped as standard with rear-wheel steering and manually adjustable coilover springs in conjunction with the AMG Ride Control system. The optional AMG Carbon Ceramic Braking System provides superior stopping power while also saving 33 lbs. over standard steel rotors. The seller adds that the car underwent a full service recently and there are no outstanding maintenance items.

@Robdrake as mentioned before I am selling this for my late brother in law and his family. I don't have first hand knowledge of the cosmetic issue noted. But I do 100% know that when we took it in for service to Mercedes they did the service and didn't bring up any functional type issues.

Can seller please verify if rear splitter is cracked? That’s a very expensive piece to replace, can you also confirm if there is any other paint damage on the car besides the damage on the front bumper?

Yes the damage is clear now. I owned the same car and it was great. However, I had the entire car PPFd because there is no matching this paint correctly for small repairs. Lost the car in a Hurricane. It also seems the diffuser may be cracked.

It appears that there was some fairly major damage to the lower left front bumper that somebody looks to have just painted over with a brush. Can you elaborate on the damage, how it occurred, and why it was not professionally repaired?

@Robdrake Hello. As this is an estate sale for my late bother-in-law and not my car for sale I do not know for sure if there is PPF on the car since I am not with it currently. I do know his 3 other high end cars ALL had PPF and I can only assume this was does as well. I will try to see if I can get a family member over there to take a look and see.
