Now available for auction is this 2018 Mercedes-Benz R231 SL63 AMG finished in Iridium Silver over a Red Nappa leather interior. Representing the high-performance version of Mercedes-Benz’s 6th generation SL-Class, the SL63 AMG is equipped with a hand-built 5.5L Biturbo V8 engine rated at over 570 HP along with the Active Body Control (ABC) suspension system, larger brakes, revised aerodynamics, and a suite of luxury amenities. This example was purchased at an original sticker price of over $163k optioned with the AMG Two-Stage Performance Suspension, the MAGIC SKY CONTROL roof panel, staggered-diameter AMG Cross-Spoke forged wheels, and the Driver’s Assistance Package. Having remained under the care of its original owner, this SL63 AMG shows under 100 miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction out of New York.
This roadster was ordered in Iridium Silver Metallic (775U) with a matching power-operated convertible hardtop with a panoramic roof panel. Equipment includes active LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, optional red brake calipers, a revised front fascia with a double horizontal slat grille and lower chin spoiler, side air inlets, and a model-specific rear valence with quad exhaust tips. The 19”/20” forged AMG Cross-Spoke wheels wear original Continental tires. The seller reports the car to have been garage-kept and connected to a trickle charger since new. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin of this SL63 is trimmed in Red Nappa leather including gloss carbon fiber inlays and 12-way power-adjustable heated, ventilated, and massaging multi-contour front seats. Amenities include the MAGIC SKY CONTROL panoramic roof panel, which allows the driver to set the opacity of the glass, a power wind deflector, Keyless Go keyless entry with optional Soft Close doors, an optional AMG Nappa/Dinamica Performance steering wheel, dual automatic climate control, a rearview camera, COMAND infotainment with navigation, and a Harmon Kardon sound system. The Driver’s Assistance Package equips Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC cruise control, Active Steering Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, and PRE-SAFE PLUS collision assist.
The hand-crafted 5.5L Biturbo V8 was factory rated at 577 HP and 664 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a 7-speed AMG Speedshift MCT automatic transmission and an AMG limited-slip differential. The SL63 AMG can accelerate from 0-60 in approximately 4 seconds with an electronically governed top speed of 155 MPH. Performance features include the Active Body Control spring and shock system, the optional Two-Stage Performance Suspension with adjustable dampening, AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving mode, and larger AMG composite brakes. This example has received annual maintenance inspections from a Mercedes-Benz specialist, and a recall for the communication module was completed in May of 2021.

@Grif-- Thanks for your questions!
For the license plate-- It is just attached with zip ties. No holes were drilled and there will be no permanent damage. It was tied on to part of the bumper and done at the dealership. The zip ties can simply be cut off. You should not need to repair the bumper.
About the CPO--The dealership says they cannot make a CPO available. The only way they can certify it is if they keep the car, certify it, and then sell it. Even when they themselves put it up for auction, they do not offer a CPO.

@Yags , I agree-- it's a beauty. I love Mercedes-- have had a string of them. I never drive them in the city. Too many crazy drivers, so I only drive them if I take a longer trip. I'm now in my 90s and some health issues got in the way, so haven't been driving long distances.
Wow this is a beautiful car! Can’t believe it only has 70 miles! Those could be the miles it took to drive it home from the dealership. Why didn’t you drive it? I will be keeping a eye on the auction!

Greetings, everyone! I purchased this beautiful car in March 2018 from Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn. I love it, but I'm getting up there in age and it's time to part with it. I hope the right person will love it just as much!
