Custom ordered through McKenna Porsche of Norwalk, California, this 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 comes finished in the Paint to Sample color of Gulf Blue over a black full leather and Alcantara interior with decorative stitching. Factory options include Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), the Front Axle Lift System, additional leather/Alcantara trim, full bucket seats, the Sport Chrono Package, and Carbon Fiber Interior Package. The original selling dealer also installed an orange-painted roll bar along with a custom performance exhaust system.  Showing approximately 5k miles on the odometer, this GT3 is now being offered for auction by its owner out of South Carolina.

A custom Paint to Sample option, this GT3 was ordered in the historic Porsche racing color of Gulf Blue (328) along with LED headlights in Black, window triangle trim in carbon fiber, painted rear logos, and Satin Black painted wheels. The brake calipers were refinished in orange by the orange selling dealer along with the application of matching “PORSCHE” lettering across the rear wing. As shown on the CARFAX report, damage was sustained to the front end in 2020 which required the replacement of the fans, radiators, and condensers as well as the right rear wheel, front spoiler, and bumper cover. All necessary repairs are said to have been completed using OEM Porsche parts and a salvage/rebuilt title was issued as a result. Clear paint protection film is applied over the front bumper and the finish is described to be in excellent overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report.

Inside, the cabin is appointed with Black leather and Alcantara featuring the Interior Trim Package with Decorative Stitching and Embroidery in Platinum. Other options include the Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Package, Door Trim Package in Leather/Alcantara, Dashboard Trim Package in Leather, illuminated door sills in carbon fiber, full bucket seats, sun visors in Alcantara, a crested storage compartment lid in Alcantara, and steering wheel 12 o’clock marker in red. An orange-painted roll bar was installed by McKenna Porsche when new, and the seller notes original protective film remains on the PCM screen.

The naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine is rated at 500 HP stock, driving the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Standard performance features include a mechanical rear differential lock, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), rear-axle steering, and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). Optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) came equipped from the factory and are currently paired with aftermarket Giro rotors. A custom performance exhaust system was also installed by the original selling dealer including “McKenna” engraved tailpipes. The seller states the car has never seen track use and confirms all services have been kept up to date through Porsche dealers, although the original tires are recommended for replacement due to age.

This sale will include a clear title.

I don't buy cars for investment, we buy them to drive. Of course I'm hoping we don't lose a tone when and if we sell it, but this car will be driven..

I will be available today to respond to any questions. Good luck on the bidding and someone's going to be super excited about having this in their garage with no regrets!!!

Added a new video --- getting her ready for delivery!!!

  • Jwes63 (seller) 1 year, 9 monthsago

@gdynet11 - I had no issues getting a loan on this car. I originally had a lean, but I have the clear title in hand now. I also had no issues with full factory warranty support from my local Porsche dealer. The car is also fully insured with a reputable, national company.

  • Jwes63 (seller) 1 year, 9 monthsago

@007bc - Thanks for the questions. If you look around on Rennlist., you will see that the Giro rotor is the "go to" set up for race inspired brakes for the GT3. You can also see the pad damage that people are experiencing with the PCCB's with spirited driving. As I have said before, my full intention was to take this car to the track where it belongs, but I never made it so it is ready for the next Owner.

You can read up on the Giros at https://girodisc.com/

    From the website...

The GiroDisc 2-Piece Slotted Performance Brake Discs - Pairs replace the OE (Original Equipment) brake disc, requiring no alterations. The disc fits OE calipers and bolts straight to the vehicle. Your factory bias and ABS efficiency are maintained by replacing your brakes with lightweight, high-performance alternatives rather than a larger brake kit. Girodisc rear rotors weigh 11lbs vs. 18lbs for stock. Reduced rotational and unsprung weight improves acceleration and suspension response. Our rotor's center hat is crafted from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum. The disc is built from Girodisc's unique cast iron and machined in-house. The rotor uses a racing-inspired curved vane design to drive cooled air across the disc.

GiroDisc's two-piece floating rotors are direct replacements for factory rotors in street and track applications.

High-quality construction and materials improve wear, rotor life, coning, and cooling efficiency.

@atlrvr - Exactly. I was told that when this occurs with a dealer, they have no choice. They can't sell a repaired car as "new". Although I have heard of some "horror stories". Thanks again!

@Jwes63 Thank you. That does answer the primary question that I think is on everyone's mind, which is why would any seller not do the repair, and avoid the branded title, and it's clear now this was insurance claim on untitled car.

@atlrvr - Thanks for the comments. If you refer to the Carfax, the car was delivered to McKenna Porsche in June of 2018 with 16 miles and remained there until the accident in February of 2020 with 4,181 miles. During it’s time with McKenna it remained untitled, and it was inspected and serviced 6 times. In March of 2020 it was damaged and subsequently titled (for the first time) to Broadspire Services which is the Insurance Carrier for McKenna Porsche. I purchased the car on 3/30/20 with 4,181 miles. I am the first true Owner but second in regard to titles. I have had the car for about 30 months. I put approximately 1,400 miles on the car bringing the current mileage to just over 5,600 and the car was serviced twice under my ownership at the dealer, McDaniel’s Porsche in Columbia, SC. Once when I got the car and then 1 year later at 4,845 miles. Hope this helps clarify the ownership history.

Someone is going to get an amazing car that turns heads every time it leaves the garage!

I think one bit of knowledge that would clarify (or not) history here is was this car ever titled prior to the accident? Asked differently, was it a customer car the was damaged at McKenna, or was it a dealer owned vehicle that presumably the principal/staff used?

@fastandloud29 - Sorry for the slow reply. I was traveling yesterday. I have attached copies of the receipts showing everything that was replaced. There was no undercarriage damage at all although I did have to replace a couple of the plastic under panels that were just missing when I received the car. The undercarriage is perfect if you look closely at the photos. THANKS!!!

@Jwes63 this seems like very light damage to issue a salvage title over. Do you know how extensive the damage was or a list of all the parts replaced? Carfax mentions "undercarriage", do you have any more details about the damage here?

@Protour2003 & @bmackrell - I will respond to these together. The title is Rebuilt. I think when PCar states a Clear Title, they mean "no lien". I will upload the picture of the damage in addition to what is shown in Photos 127, 128 & 129 which were all taken showing the extent of the damage. It was minor as noted on the CarFAx, The damage occurred with the dealer. It hit a curb and damaged the bumper cover, lower mounting bracket and corner of frunk, the condensers and the radiators. I also replaced a wheel that had a bad scratch.

    Good morning
Do the original parts, PCCB, mufflers come with the sale?
    Thanks

  • Protour2003 (registered bidder) 1 year, 9 monthsago

There is mention to a branded title and clean title. Can you please clarify? If this has a salvage title, can you describe the previous issue? Thank you. Pretty car!

  • bmackrell (registered bidder) 1 year, 9 monthsago

@Jwes63 - can you elaborate on the original damage, how it occurred and to what extent?

  • Jwes63 (seller) 1 year, 9 monthsago

A correction! The listing says the car has PPF on the front bumper. The car actually is fully wrapped, 100% in PPF. Tip to tail!

  • Jwes63 (seller) 1 year, 9 monthsago

Hello everyone! I'm Wes, the Owner of this Gulf Blue GT3. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I will do my best to be responsive, thorough, and transparent. If you are in the market for a car that will be as comfortable at a “Cars & Coffee” as it will be on the track, then this is the one for you and it will not disappoint. This car really needs no excuses as it presents today. After being damaged by the original dealer, I made all of the repairs on this car putting it back to 100% and available at a more attractive price than the current market. Why am I selling it? The honest answer is, it was just too nice for me to take it to the track as I had intended. This was my dream car, but after using it only 1,400 miles over the last 2 years, I have made the decision to sell it. I have recently become more involved with air-cooled 911s having just recently completed a 964 and a 993 project as well. Again, thanks for looking and good luck bidding if you find this interesting to you!
