This Targa was ordered in nonmetallic Black and is distinguished as a GTS model by black exterior trim and lettering, tinted taillights, SportDesign mirrors, and SportDesign front and rear fascias.  This example was also optioned with the SportDesign Package which adds a revised rear spoiler with a more pronounced lip.  Other optional details include LED headlights in black, deletion of model designations on the doors, and upper mirror housings in carbon fiber.  Clear side marker lenses have been installed along with protective grilles over the front air intakes. The front end of the car also remains preserved under clear paint protection film, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  This GTS rides on black painted 20” 911 Turbo S center-lock wheels dressed in Pirelli P Zero tires.

Inside, you will find a black leather and Alcantara GTS interior with carbon fiber trim and deviated Carmine Red stitching and seatbelts.  The seats feature GTS logo headrest embroideries and the instrument cluster includes an optional Carmine Red tachometer dial.  Driver amenities include Voice Control and the Bose Surround Sound System.  A complete list of factory options is provided below:

  • 088   GTS Interior Package
  • 352   Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC)
  • 470   Rear Axle Steering

  • XEY   LED Headlights in Black with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus
  • XJW  SportDesign Exterior Mirrors incl. Upper Housing In Carbon Fiber

The 3.0L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine in the GTS generates as much as 450 HP, an increase of 30 HP over the standard Targa 4S.  All four wheels are driven through a desirable 7-speed manual transmission which allows acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds.  Standard performance features include PASM Sport Suspension, Sport Exhaust, and the Sport Chrono Package. This example also benefits from optional Rear Axle Steering, Power Steering Plus, and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) which provide improved handling and maneuverability.  The seller reports all scheduled maintenance to have been carried out by authorized Porsche dealers and CARFAX shows the last documented service to have been completed by Porsche Dallas in June of 2021 at 5,963 miles.

This sale will include a set of two keys, owner's manuals, genuine all-weather floor mats, the original amber side marker lenses, and a clean title.  Nicely configured and loaded with driver-oriented performance features, this 7-speed GTS is sure to please any discerning enthusiast in search of a modern 911 Targa.

This is one of the finest spec'd Targa's I've seen for a long time. Being a GTS and a manual makes it that more special. Wow. Good luck to both the seller and winner!

  • Lambogas (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@UCFJWH ..... You are correct , I missed that , that just snap in. I wouldnt remove them but they can be easily removed.

  • saga1113 2 years, 6 monthsago

The mesh grill screens can be had from Rennline or Zunnsport. This Targa's looks to be the latter.

  • UCFJWH 2 years, 6 monthsago

Your comment is that the car is bone stock but the grill appears to have a wire mesh. I don't think that was an option. I have almost the exact car and mine did not come with any type of screens. I've often thought of adding a screen so I was interested in the details.

As an aside - The targa does everything right and the GTS is the pinnacle. Targa people know how epic these cars are........

  • jcleary68 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Lambogas, can you confirm that the car is stock (no aftermarket exhaust, springs, etc.?

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@AndyL215 @AndyL215: Maybe. My 7,000 mile 7 speed 2018 Targa 4 GTS is Carmine Red with the special $3,000.00 black leather and black alcantera GTS interior with carmine red stitching. My car is lowered on Techart springs and it has both Xpel film on the front of the car and it is ceramic coated. The car was very heavily optioned from the factory with an MSRP of 171K. What truly makes my Targa unique are the bespoke leather and carbon fiber parts that I have added to the car. All of the cheap plastic bits in the interior of the car have been replaced either with OEM quality leather parts from Exclusive Options or carbon fiber parts from DB Carbon. I have spent more than $10,000.00 on these parts. For instance, the cheap looking silver painted plastic seatbacks on the 18 way sport seats are now carbon fiber as are the plastic seatback hinges and seatback latches. All of the cheap plastic parts on the dash and the A/C grills have been replaced by black leather parts stitched in carmine red. The plastic side window triangles and the blades at the front of the car have been replaced by carbon fiber parts. I could go on and on. The car is a unicorn and it is what Porsche should be building. I have a 7 speed 992 Targa 4 GTS on order. Hence, the maybe.

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@BostonMotorsports1 @BostonMotorsports1: Agreed. Even with two days to go, I just thought the bidding would be more spirited on such a great and rare 7 speed Targa 4 GTS.

  • BostonMotorsports1 (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@BarryLe how long have you been on pcarmarket, or any other auction site? The last 10 mins bring the money. There are 2 days left.

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Bids so far are much too low for such a fantastic Porsche. This car should bring at least its original cost. These are such crazy and inflated times for Porsche. 993 Carrera S coupes with more than 50,000 miles are bringing the 120’s to 140’s. I own a 993 Cab. You cannot even begin to compare the performance, the handling, the comfort, and the joy of the Targa roof with a 993. If 6 speed 993’s are worth what the auction prices are suggesting, a 7 speed Targa 4 GTS should be worth 250k in my mind. The difference is night and day and manual transmission Targa 4 GTS’s are incredibly rare and should become collectible over time.

@BarryLe .... Thanks for the comment , agreed these are killer cars

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 2 years, 6 monthsago

Anxious to see how this Targa 4 GTS does. I have a 7 speed 2018 Targa 4 GTS in Carmine red. My car is more highly optioned but this car is a great spec. I love my Targa 4 GTS and whoever buys this one will love it.

  • Lambogas (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@RichJ1615 .... As low as the miles are on the car my assumption would be he was letting the battery go down and not driving the car. When the battery gets low and not enough drive cycles it wont pass.

  • RichJ1615 2 years, 6 monthsago

Lambogas, Please comment about the number of “Failed Emissions Inspection” notes in the service history.

    @lambogas Stunning car.
Only thing missing, and it's relatively minor, is naturally aspirated sound.

  • Lambogas (seller) 2 years, 6 monthsago

@cab2door .... Thanks for the opening bid , just want to let everyone know that there are 2 sets of mats and what you are seeing in the photo of the passenger side floor board is the carpet has plastic covering the carpet , it had been applied to both sides to keep the carpet clean.
