The rear wheels are driven through an 8-speed automatic transmission and the car rides on a self-leveling suspension with anti-roll stabilization and variable damping control. @MeltingJax the car has never been smoked in.

  • MeltingJax (registered bidder) 1 year, 2 monthsago

@merlinautogroup are there any indications that this car has ever been smoked in?

  • rikhumps (registered bidder) 1 year, 2 monthsago

Never crossed my mind to look at this car until I saw one in Mesquite. Really a cool car and no, I would never sell my Speedster for this.

@dukecubfan Hello, It is a Georgia-owned vehicle, the owner is a large collector and decided it was time for something different. No wild or crazy stories here

  • dukecubfan 1 year, 2 monthsago

Would you mind sharing insight on the original owner, why selling, and where it lived during its current mileage? Thank you.

Beautiful example! At some point I’ll reach the age where I trade my Porsche 991 Speedster for something like this, but that time is still a couple years away. GLWTA!

    Conversational analytics:

Obviously a magnificent car - state of the art of luxury even 5 years - and virtually never used.

Like any of breed, the place of owner and location are important to it's usefulness and even acceptability. The size itself making garaging a challenge for many who may have the desire to experience life with something so grand. With so little use, some warranty remaining and the limited appropriate use of it as one of many - it can certainly bring a bunch of joy with limited cost of use.

Acquiring something actually"costs" nothing. It is all balance sheet...it is just where one applies/categorizes their assets, which includes the cash one uses to purchase it. Use borrowed $ and you increase you liabilities by the amount of assets (cash) you received. Also not income or expense and a reason that borrowed money is never tax deductible). The "cost" of something like this is unknown till selling it.

That makes the purchase price more a determination of the seller accepting and absorbing the costs of making this $350k base to a $450k new and personalized car for their preferences, simple new to used devaluation, nonrecoverable taxes, etc. of what is not only an unlikely collectible or important to form example....at 5yrs even coming in to being aged and dated style and attributes for what would be one of the most extreme applications of all those value considerations.

Is a 50% devaluation for a 5 year old very limited market (and utility) car - (not unrealistic for even ones that notoriously hold their value) - be enough? This is NOT an even speculative appreciating investment automotive asset. (Certainly take the 100k of buyers personal use options right off the top to start as expensed and enjoyed by the one making the selections). And again, the financial cost of the thrills, satisfaction and benefits (measured by smiles, miles, or whatever) of ownership will only be determined at it's next sale. Most unlikely to be the same or more than now.

And no question about it, I'd very much like to experience the joys of having something so special for my use. (Unfortunately the complications beyond financial make it more complex than I care to deal with now). I look forward to seeing spirited interest and the results here, knowingly offered by a well connected dealer in this market.

(And if someone needs it to be driven to It's new home, I'd be happy to provide that service!).
