Now available for auction is this 2019 Audi RS5 Coupe Quattro finished in Nardo Gray over a black leather interior. The RS5 is the high-performance version of Audi’s A5 Coupe, equipped with a powerful twin-turbocharged V6 shared with the Porsche Panamera 4S. This 2019 example was optioned with the Black Optic Carbon Package, Dynamic Package, Fine Nappa Leather Package, and Navigation Package which equips a host of premium features and technology. This RS5 has been further enhanced with aftermarket downpipes, a resonator delete, and a JB4 performance tune resulting in a claimed output of up to 600 HP. Showing a clean one-owner history on CARFAX, this RS5 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Washington with just over 16k miles on the odometer.

This RS5 was ordered in the desirable Audi color of Nardo Gray (LY7C) and can be distinguished from standard A5 by its wider fender flares, rear trunk lid spoiler, signature honeycomb front grille, and aggressive front fascia with larger air inlets. This example features the Dynamic Package, which includes red-painted brake calipers and an RS Sport Exhaust System with black tips. The Carbon Black Optic Package also equips a carbon-fiber front splitter, carbon-fiber mirror caps, a carbon-fiber rear valence, and a carbon-fiber trunk lid spoiler as well as black badging, window surrounds, and grille trim. The package also adds 20” forged 5-arm flag-design bi-colored wheels mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport PS3 tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, the cabin is appointed with black fine Nappa leather and Alcantara accented by Rock Gray stitching and gloss carbon-fiber inlays. The 8-way adjustable RS Sport Seats feature honeycomb pattern stitched inserts and power side bolsters as well as heating and massage functions. The Fine Nappa Leather Package includes a leather-covered center console and door armrests as well as the LED Interior Lighting Package Plus. The Navigation Package provides the Audi Virtual Cockpit, MMI Navigation Plus with MMI touch, and an 8.3” MMI center screen. The Carbon Black Optic Package also includes carbon-fiber door sill inserts.  Other features include a power-operated glass sunroof, 3-zone automatic climate control, and Audi Park Assist. The seller reports that a TPMS warning light is currently illuminated, although the tires have been set to the correct pressure.

Power comes from a 2.9L twin-turbocharged V6 TFSI engine rated at 444 HP and 443 lb.-ft of torque.  All four wheels are driven through Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed Tiptronic shiftable-automatic transmission. The Dynamic Package includes RS Sport Exhaust and RS Sport Suspension Plus with Dynamic Ride Control, which utilizes diagonally connected shocks to help reduce lateral body roll and help improve handling and grip. The Audi Drive Select allows the driver to choose from multiple settings that adjust engine and transmission management, power steering, suspension, the Quattro Sport Differential, and the RS Sport exhaust. This RS5 has also been fitted with aftermarket downpipes, a resonator delete, and a JB4 tune which is said to increase engine power up to 600 HP at the crank.  The CARFAX report shows a 10k-mile service to have completed by BMW of Tri-Cities in Richland, Washington, in October of 2019.

This sale will include a clean title. Well-optioned and tastefully modified, this RS5 is ready to be enjoyed.

@TB - Here is the response I just received regarding the 'tracking' in case it helps:

    Good Afternoon,

Our system uses passive RFID tags that encode a single number, so there is no "active" tracking. There is a sticker on the driver side door frame, but the actual RFID tag is usually on the back of the rear-view mirror. Please feel free to remove those tags. They are only useful at the dealership that originally sold the vehicle. Thanks for checking-out our website!

    Sincerely,
    Chris

@RumbleAuto I did just reach out to them to confirm that the vehicle was no longer being actively monitored, and I will follow up appropriately.

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@TB - I honestly had no idea, thanks for pointing it out. Being so unaware of it, it's obviously hard for me to comment specifically on how it's installed or configured but I can attempt to contact the vendor and ensure that the car is no longer being tracked of course.

  • TB (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

There is a bar coded sticker on the door sill that is from mydealerlot.com
The number on the sticker is the GPS tracker device number. If it is not connected to the OBD connector, it is probably in the trunk by one of the tail lights. It could be removed, active or deactivated. Thanks!

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@TB - sorry but I'm not aware of a GPS tracker nor how it's installed. Could you please elaborate so I can better answer your question?

  • TB 2 years, 4 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $27,250

  • TB (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

I see that a GPS tracker is on the car. How can I be sure it is removed if purchased? Also, please provide photos of it and how it is connected to the wiring to make sure no wires have been spliced or cut into. Thanks!

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@Rohrman - to my knowledge the car has neither been tracked or used for commercial purposes.

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@INOV8 - At least 2 of the catalytic converters are no longer on the car. I don't think it could pass CA emissions requirements without the stock cats and programming based on what I know about CA emissions laws.

  • INOV8 (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

is all the emissions eq. still on the car? Any idea if as it sits it would pass CA smog test?

  • Rohrman (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@RumbleAuto @stevetheodore thank you. Has the car ever been used for commercial purposes or tracked?

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@Rohrman - if you are talking about image number 23, that's just a piece of small debris that appears to look like damage. I've gone over the car pretty thoroughly, but it's hard not to have small particles or debris always clear on the outdoor photography. Thanks for the keen eye!

  • Rohrman (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@RumbleAuto @stevetheodore 12th row down left side picture running under the door molding. Thx

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

You should be able to see the additional photos and videos I uploaded now, thanks to the PCAR staff. I wanted to make sure you had access to all of that prior to the end of the auction.

@Rohrman - not that I am aware of, meaning nothing stood out to me during my time spent with the car. Which specific photos are you referring to?

  • Rohrman (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

Are there any scratches on the drivers side? In two of the pictures there are potential reflections that very much look like scratches. Please elaborate?

OK, I have uploaded a variety of photos and 2 new videos for you to see more about the car. You can see the front end is fully protected by PPF as the values on the paint meter will make it obvious, and I went around the rest of the car so you can see it's all original paint too.

    I uploaded 2 videos:
    1. True cold start (car hasn't been started in several days)
    2. Extended cold start (first video ended prematurely, but you can see how much quieter it gets after about 45 seconds)

The warranty in-service date confirmed as 10/25/2019 from Audi, so there is plenty of factory warranty remaining on this car.

Happy Bidding, and thanks for your patience while I got home from my holiday trip to get these additional photos and videos for you all.

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@TB - with regard to the powertrain, I think it's reasonable to assume that there may be some impact. But for anything not powertrain related, I think you'll be just fine. This is a conversation best had with your local Audi dealer though, as some dealers are exceptional to work with and will have your back no matter what.

I now have plenty of paint meter photos, a couple videos, and the in-service warranty date to upload, so please watch for all that information shortly.

  • TB (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

Hi! Do the modifications void the factory warranty?

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@allenman - I should be able to get that information for you. Although my local Audi dealer is closed until Tuesday I have an online warranty tool that should be able to give us the in-service date. Stay tuned for that information.

  • allenman (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

    Sorry for another question....last time.
Does anyone know the in-service date on this car? I think the bumper to bumper is 4/50. Thanks...

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@allenman - I don't believe that we have the original intake parts or factory downpipes, but I'll check the trunk again when I get home from vacation tomorrow so that you know well ahead of the end of the auction. Thanks for the good questions.

Hoping you all had a very Merry Christmas!

  • allenman (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

Do you happen to have any original parts, particularly the intake? Those things always scare me and would make my dealer frown.
    Great looking car

  • RumbleAuto (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

@spatel - As we are a dealer it's harder to speculate about why a service would be done sooner than planned, but suffice to say that the car enjoyed very prideful ownership and was well taken care of.

The car is fairly loud upon cold start but settles down nicely in around 1 minute, and at that point is pretty tame. I'm surprised just how docile the car acts in slow speed traffic, where you're not even really aware that it's a tuned and modified example. Only when you step on the gas with some vigor are you reminded that it's not a stock example.

I'm not sure how to get you decibel level readings that will make any sense, but I am planning to get some paint meter photos on Sunday when I return from my holiday trip. Thanks for your questions, and Happy Holidays!

  • spatel (registered bidder) 2 years, 4 monthsago

Please explain why 10k service was done at 1001 miles within 1 month of purchase. Also would it possible to get a sound level inside the car when idling? I am looking for performance potential when needed without sacrificing daily driving comfort, thanks.

I own the '21, 4-door version of this car in Nardo grey. The color is outstanding. More importantly, it's a great driver's car and fast. My RS5 is stock, so I can just imagine that with 600 h.p., seller's car can get from mild-to-wild in a heartbeat!
    GLWS!

    Thanks, Allen

Hello everyone, and welcome to our auction for this absolutely gorgeous 2019 Audi RS5. I often look for rare colors and specs of enthusiast cars and this Audi manages to check nearly all the important boxes.

Although this is a modified example, once the engine warms up it's surprisingly quite civil. I liken it to a Nissan GTR made in Germany, and with slightly higher levels of fit and finish. Having driven the car in traffic I can say it's quite a relaxing place to be despite the performance potential of the car, and it is a real proper Jekyll/Hyde personality.

Happy Bidding, and I'll be here all throughout the auction to answer your questions. If you'd like to come see the car, please use the Contact Seller feature and it would be my pleasure to show you the car at our showroom in Issaquah, Washington. Please do understand that I'll have limited hours over the upcoming Christmas holiday, but will be ever vigilant to answer whatever questions I can.
