In 2017, Ford revived the GT nameplate with a limited-edition supercar aimed at outperforming Ferrari on both the road and the track. Marketed as a roadworthy race car, the GT boasted carbon fiber construction, race-inspired suspension, butterfly doors, and a mid-mounted V6 engine. Ford’s strategy proved successful, with the GT securing a first-place finish in the GTE Pro category at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. Street-legal production concluded by the end of the 2023 model year, with around 1,350 units built. This 2019 example comes finished in Shadow Black over Black Alcantara and features the optional $70k “lightweight” Carbon Series package. The package includes a polycarbonate engine cover, exposed carbon-fiber stripes, and a titanium exhaust system. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It comes equipped with 20” gloss carbon-fiber wheels, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, the Carbon Red graphics package, and more. Showing just 3,600 miles on the odometer, this GT is now being auctioned by its seller out of New Jersey.
This GT boasts a Shadow Black finish with the Carbon Red Graphics Package. It includes LED headlights, a lightweight Gorilla Glass windshield, butterfly doors, a retractable active rear wing, LED taillights, a rear diffuser, and gloss carbon-fiber exterior trim. The car’s structure comprises a carbon-fiber monocoque bolted to the front and rear aluminum subframes, serving as stressed members for the hydraulically adjustable pushrod suspension system. The Carbon Series package saves around 40 pounds and adds exposed carbon-fiber stripes, carbon-fiber wheels, a titanium exhaust system, titanium lug nuts, and a polycarbonate engine cover with increased ventilation. It features staggered-width 20” gloss carbon-fiber wheels with locking titanium lug nuts, wrapped in 245/35 front and 325/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, reportedly installed within the last 100 miles. Standard features include variable ride height, selectable driving modes, and launch control. The seller notes the left-side quarter panel was repainted to address a scratch, and clear paint-protection film has been applied to the hood, quarter panels, bumper, and side mirrors. The cabin showcases Black Alcantara upholstery on the fixed Sparco seats, which boast manually reclinable carbon-fiber shells. Exposed carbon fiber elements are visible on the door sills, dashboard, and center console. The Alcantara-wrapped multi-function steering wheel hosts paddle shifters and oversees a configurable digital instrument panel. The driver’s seat, set in a fixed position, is complemented by an adjustable pedal box and steering column. Additional amenities include automatic climate control, six-point harness anchors, and an infotainment system equipped with a touchscreen.
Power is derived from a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, featuring a carbon-fiber engine cover and a factory rating of 647 HP and 550 lb-ft of torque. A Getragseven-speed dual-clutch transmission channels power to the rear wheels. The car is equipped with carbon-fiber aero panels both at the front and rear. Braking power is from a red-painted Brembo six-piston monoblock calipers gripping 15.5” carbon-ceramic discs at the front and four-piston calipers over 14.1”units at the rear. An oil change was performed in June 2022, as noted by the seller.
