Moke America has adopted a modern approach to the classic Mini Moke, symbolizing British tradition and Caribbean leisure. The updated version for the 21st century is electric, offering eco-friendly efficiency and improvements such as an extended and broadened chassis to maximize space, an integrated audio system, and the addition of a parking camera. This 2019 example comes finished in Blue over Black upholstery and is now being offered for auction at no reserve by its seller out of New York.
The Moke features an open-top design and retains its iconic, boxy, and compact silhouette hallmark of the Mini Moke. This example comes finished in Blue with a black front bumper grille and matching bumpers. It rides on black-finished Sports wheels with Moke emblemized center caps. Some signs of wear are noted as expected with age and detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The open cabin offers seating for 4 occupants and presents Black upholstery, a painted dashboard, a three-spoke steering wheel, black-finished grab handles, and black seatbelts. The rear camera fails to operate as a result of undiagnosed electrical issues.
For the United States market, the Moke has been reborn as a battery-powered low-speed vehicle (LSV). This example derives power from a 7.5-kWh three-phase asynchronous AC electric motor, driving the front wheels through a direct-drive transmission connected to a shifter with forward, neutral, and reverse positions. @bertsboat This MOKE currently has an issue with the backup camera, it tends to cut in and out on occasion. Other than this, the vehicle is fully operational.
