At current bid we're at a $63,000 discount from USA MSRP on a brand new 911. Not going to cut it, but there's a once in a lifetime deal to be had if we can push a bit further. I don't think I've ever seen a new Porsche with these savings...

@11GTSMT6 I can't attest to the validity of the newsletter listing, as errors do occur, but I can assure you this vehicle is sitting in sight of my desk right now, cleaned and ready for it's new owner, with less than 50 miles on the clock. The photos/info on this auction were all curated just last week.
Listed on London Porsche Newsletter for $157kCAD in March... Same VIN, It had 1000kms then. Not sure why it has less than 100 miles here ?? Is this a current listing??

@Greghart1 Yes, you're right. As far as the actual physical gauge goes, if it bothers you, I assume you'd replace the cluster and have Porsche program it to the correct mileage.

Isn’t the speedometer analog? The dial to the left of center? I understand the digital speedometer and odometer is just software. But the physical speedometer is in Km per hr. Can that be replaced?
@Greghart1 Yes, it is just a setting in the PCM to convert over. Can also change climate control from C to F the same way.
Can the speedometer and odometer be replaces to miles and mph?

@Greghart1 Based on my research, duty is only 2.5% payable when you bring the car to the US. I suggested confirming this with your own research though to be safe.

@Greghart1 Understood. We can't reveal reserve price of course, but I will say there is an opportunity for a very good deal here...regardless of which side of the border the buyer is on.
@Jarod964 Ok I think we are saying the same thing. I am trying to understand where you might be selling this car based on your cost, not the equivalent USD spec. Because of the exchange rate this impacts that relative value that’s all I’m suggesting.
@Greghart1 I apologize but I am not quite sure what you're trying to convey. I will try to rephrase myself.
This car spec'd in Canada = roughly $176k CAD build sheet
This car spec'd in USA = roughly $155k USD build sheet
For a US buyer trying to determine MSRP when new, in USD, using the current market exchange rate will not provide an accurate cost of equipment on the car. Building the car using the Porsche USA configurator will provide an accurate cost of equipment.
In terms of actually selling the car through this auction, pcarmarket uses USD as it's bid currency, so of course the current market exchange rate will change the amount we actually pocket, assuming we convert to CAD after purchase. For a buyer wishing to purchase the car in Canadian funds, we will take the exchange rate at time of auction close, assuming reserve is met and the car sells. Hope this helps.
@Jarod964 i understand but if you are Canadian seller and selling to a US buyer how would the exchange rate not matter? I can bid this in C$ as well if you would prefer and do the conversion myself.
@Greghart1 Exchange rate changes every day and doesn't tie to the cost of equipment on the car. Canada is typically the least expensive market in the world to spec a new Porsche. For accurate pricing you have to build it online through Porsche USA.
