We are pleased to offer this 2019 Porsche 991 Speedster finished in Agate Grey Metallic over a black extended leather interior with gold deviated stitching.  Marking the end of the 991 generation while paying homage to Porsche’s legacy, the GT3-based Speedster was built in a limited series of 1,948 examples worldwide. This particular example, #1044, is factory equipped with the Front Axle Lift System, carbon fiber SportDesign mirrors, illuminated door sill guards in carbon fiber, painted side skirts, and the exclusive Interior Trim Package.  Remaining under the care of its original owner and with just over 500 Km (310 miles) showing the odometer, this striking 991 Speedster is now being listed for auction out of Toronto.

The Agate Grey Metallic finish is said to be in like-new condition and features factory optioned transparent protective film on the rear fenders. Paint protection film and ceramic coating have also been applied to the full exterior; detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.  This 991 harkens back to earlier Speedster models with its distinctive double-hump rear fairings and steeply raked windshield.  The owner of this Speedster has recently opted to have the gold Heritage Edition badging installed on the sides and rear of the car (images in gallery). Other notable exterior options include painted side skirts, SportDesign mirrors in carbon fiber, and tinted LED headlights in black. This example rides on factory center lock GT3 wheels that remain dressed in their original Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.  The optional Front Axle Lift System also enables the nose of the vehicle to be raised for extra clearance.

Inside, the driver is situated in a gorgeous black interior with extended leather upholstery and gold deviated stitching throughout the cabin.  Configured at an original sticker price of over $345k (CAD), this Speedster boasts the following factory features:

  • Extended Range Fuel Tank, 23.7 gal
  • Front Axle lift system
  • Transparent Protective Film (rear fenders)
  • Windshield with Grey Top Tint
  • 2-zone Automatic Climate Control
  • Luggage net in passenger footwell
  • Smoking Package
  • HomeLink® (programmable garage door opener)
  • Light Design Package
  • Bose® Surround Sound System
  • Automatically dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor
  • Chrono Package
  • Side Skirts Painted
  • Tinted LED Main Headlights in Black Including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus)
  • SportDesign Exterior Mirrors in Carbon Fiber
  • Sun Visors in Leather
  • Headlight Cleaning System Covers in Exterior Color
  • Steering Column Casing in Leather with Contrast Stitching
  • Interior Trim Package with Decorative Stitching and Embroidery in Deviated Thread
  • Door-Sill Guards in Carbon Fiber, Illuminated

Power comes from a naturally aspirated and high-revving 4.0L flat-six engine that develops 502HP and 346 lb.-ft of torque. That power is sent through a mandated 6-speed GT manual gearbox to the rear wheels. The sprint to 60 MPH is accomplished in approximately 3.8 seconds with a top speed of over 190 MPH.  The 991 Speedster utilizes the rigid lightweight chassis of the GT3 in conjunction with powerful (PCCB) ceramic composite brakes resulting in unprecedented handling and brutal stopping power.  This example is said to have been maintained exclusively by a Porsche dealer with a preemptive 15,000 Km service recently performed in preparation for sale.

This Speedster will be accompanied by a clean title.  A true collector’s items as well as a high-performance open-air sports car, the 991 Speedster remains one of the most sought after modern Porsches on the road, do not let this one pass you by.

@MStrauss the bids are in $US. As far as importation of the car to the US, I believe there is a 2.5% import duty when the car comes across the border.
    Thank you.

  • MStrauss (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

    Beautiful build!
Are the bids in USD or Canadian? Would there be a tax to import the car to the US?

@Jshlesinger Sorry. Wish I could afford it! It's a beauty.

  • 5020love (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

That is what I figured - I have seen the rear wheel protection on several cars and clear is the way - thanks for the clarity on the rest

  • Jshlesinger (seller) 3 yearsago

@Vitesse1 Thank you for your interest and bid.

  • Jshlesinger (seller) 3 yearsago

@5020love Thanks and I’m sorry it’s a bit unclear. The factory did clear protection on the front of the rear wheel wells (I chose clear vs the alternative that was ‘80s-nostalgic black , which we’ve all seen). After delivery I had the best guy I’ve ever seen do full-car Ceramic and full- car Paint Protection Film as well. Thank you.

  • 5020love (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

First of all thanks for the help getting me up to speed Porsche wise - it says you had the protection film - is it on the whole car - it mentions rear fenders and says ceramic - was all that done after you got the car or was any of it factory - thanks again

  • Vitesse1 (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

I’ll get this started. Looks like a fabulous example.

  • Jshlesinger (seller) 3 yearsago

@SpartyRob84 Thank you. It was a build that I did for me to keep, and I tried to make it somewhat timeless. Thanks for your feedback.

  • 5020love (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

Never mind - I just read the build and see that it has climate control- good thing :)

  • 5020love (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

Am I correct to assume this car does not have the air condition option ?

  • Jshlesinger (seller) 3 yearsago

@5020love I will take a couple of roof-up pictures today. The Smokers Package is for the area on the centre console to the rear of the shifter and its buttons. Either you go with this option and get a flush cover with a lighter beneath, or you don’t in which case you get a little storage area for coins or who knows what, which is not covered. I went for the covered version even though I am not a smoker.
Cost for my build, incl Heritage scripts and PPM/ceramic (done by a great specialist) was more than $350k Canadian.

  • N919HJ 3 yearsago

@5020love it means you get a little cup with a lid in the center console instead of just a useless cup. And it’s a free option which is the most mind blowing part.

  • 5020love (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

One more - I’m a little new at Porsche - what does smoking package on the build mean - thanks again

  • SpartyRob84 (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

What a beautiful Speedster copy! Elegant and classy.

  • 5020love (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

I know it is primarily an open coupe but is there a pic with the top up or did I miss it and what was the MSRP
    Thanks

  • Jshlesinger (seller) 3 yearsago

@noahkl It feels terrible, is how it feels. I optioned the car precisely as I wanted, to keep - certainly not to sell. But the car arrived in late October 2019 and went directly into storage. I had major surgery 13 months ago and was unable to drive for nearly all of last year so the car just sat, unused. And now here we are. I have other cars and as much as I love this one, it’s just not going to get the use that it deserves. Not everything goes according to plan - I’m trying to take that lesson at least from the last year or so. Thank you.

  • noahkl (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

So what is like being so fortunate to get a Speedster allocation and then never driving it for two years and now selling it? No judgement here just curious as I put quite a bit of effort into trying to secure an allocation.

  • Jshlesinger (seller) 3 yearsago

Welcome to my auction - I will add some additional photos of the paperwork and I will try to upload a walk-around video as soon as I can. I’m here to answer any and all questions that you may have - it is essentially a new car. Thank you and happy bidding!
