@Shaveclub81 Just about. I didn’t go crazy for the appearance ones (red gauges and Chrono or colored belts) but it has all the leather options and every body color paint option. I have loved this car, and hope the next person who gets the chance to own it does as well! Still a bit far off my reserve, but good luck to all those bidding!

  • Shaveclub81 (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

    Nearly $184k MSRP!!! Wow!
Does this have every option available on a Targa?

@domer911 Thanks for the interest. Absolutely reasonable to assume there are scrapes and scuffs on the front valance, the plastic insert in the middle - bottom of the front bumper. There were several occasions, not more than 5 or so, where I scuffed that plastic piece. It’s not at all major, nor did I replace it right away, or paint it like the rear exhaust shroud or the rear bumper quarter intakes. I wanted to let it get a bit worse before I replaced it. It’s less than a $250 part, and could easily be ordered and reinstalled. It never bothered me significantly, so I didn’t do it, though I likely would have at some stage. It’s by no means perfect, but without fixating on it, you would never notice that the bottom was scuffed, as it’s matte black plastic, and the scuffs are also matte black. However, in the sake of full disclosure, I do believe if you wanted an absolutely perfect appearance, it would be ideal to replace it. Overall, the car is far nicer than even the best 6,000 mi car, with the full clear bra, pccb’s that don’t leave brake dust, and a zylon’d interior. I hope this helps, and am happy to answer any further questions as we get into the final stretch on the auction.

No front axle lift, so have you had your scrapes and bruises underneath? Forgive me if you have underbody shots included. I didn't think I saw any. Thanks. Pretty car!

@Graymatters Thanks for the quick and thorough response.

  • Graymatters (seller) 3 years, 7 monthsago

@chadco14 Just typical dirt scuffs from dragging my feet in and out of the car. The detailed never addressed it, but they could and will before handover. The seat is also just dirt, I never noticed it until you mentioned. The car is at Pcarmarket now, so I will let them know, and they will do another proper detail before handover. The interior was also sprayed before I took delivery w Zylon, something like a ceramic coat but for interior leathers. The car is absolute immaculate. I don’t smoke, and no one who was in the car ever smoked either. I can promise you it’s one of the cleanest cars I have ever seen, I took every precaution to protect the car as if I would have it for years. I hope this helps. It’s much nicer than even the photos show. Let me know if you have any further questions.

  • chadco14 (registered bidder) 3 years, 7 monthsago

Are those scuffs on the driver sill and front of seat or just dirty marks?

Has the car been smoked in?

  • Graymatters (seller) 3 years, 7 monthsago

@jdf1271 You know something, you are right! I forgot that I had the rennline grills on an older car. These are in fact Zunsport as you say. Best upgrade you can get for under $500, hands down. It really changes the look and vibe of the car. That, the clear bra, clear markers, and the rear parts painted were all I did to this car, because I couldn’t see anything else it needed. Thanks for the comment and have a nice weekend all, hope everyone goes out for a proper drive this weekend! Cheers

Menacing looking GTS love it! Great build, perfect! The license plate should say VADAR! The grills I believe are Zunsport, not rennline though. I have the same on my GTS and they are AWESOME!!!! I believe much better than the rennline. GLWS

    Thanks

  • Graymatters (seller) 3 years, 7 monthsago

@cwoodman67 Yes. The car has completely original paint, clear bra on every panel but for the rear bumper. I painted the rear exhaust shroud ( surround above the tailpipes and the center exhaust bracket) and the rear quarter intakes in the bottom of the rear bumper in gloss black to match the body color. I also added the rennline front bumper grills to protect the radiators and give the car a more aggressive look. The car is extremely nice, and I am very particular, especially with black cars. Also, the car was completely paint corrected, and ceramic coated underneath the xpel, as well as on top of it. It’s amazing how well the modern nano coatings help. The car is so easy to keep clean, despite being black. Happy to go through anything further if anyone has any further questions. Hope this helps.

  • cwoodman67 (registered bidder) 3 years, 7 monthsago

    Is all the paint original?

Thank you all for your interest and offers. Please feel free to ask any questions, I’m happy to answer any and all of them! I know a lot of people haven’t driven a targa GTS, let alone one with all the performance options (pdcc, rear wheel steering, pccb) but the spec and the new twin turbo motor make for the perfect all weather, all situation daily for someone who doesn’t live in New York City. I hope the next owner enjoys it as much as I did driving it daily on Mulholland before moving out East. Good luck all those who are bidding!

    @Graymatters I’ve had a bunch of 914s (even a 6) a 924s and my very favorite was my 94 911 Targa... such a joy to drive!
I retired a little early two years and recently started looking for another 911. Unfortunately based on where the bidding is headed I think it will end up above my range. Best of luck selling that beautiful car.

  • Graymatters (seller) 3 years, 7 monthsago

@Sfinnerty Thank you. I enjoyed this car thoroughly, but once I moved to NYC it became clear that I just wouldn’t use it as I would have thought. Made sense to offer it here to someone who would love and enjoy it as I did!

  • Sfinnerty (registered bidder) 3 years, 7 monthsago

    Hello All-

I just wanted to introduce myself and let you everyone know that I am happy to answer any and all questions you might have about my Targa GTS. I never thought I would sell this, and configured it as my dream 991.2...

However life changed for me, and I find myself in NYC rather than in LA, and I hardly use the car. I would MUCH rather see it go to someone who can appreciate it as much as I have in the time I have owned it.

Pls feel free to ask any questions, and I will do my best to respond promptly!

    C
