Presented here for auction is a 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista finished in Rosso Corsa over an Alcantara Nero interior. The first mid-engine Ferrari to utilize a turbocharged V8 engine since the legendary F40, the 488 represented Ferrari’s flagship vehicle in 2020 and was named Motor Trend’s “Best Driver’s Car” in 2017 as well as "The Supercar of the Year 2015” by Top Gear magazine.  The Pista is a high-performance, track-oriented version of the 488, offering upgraded and reinforced engine internals borrowed from the 488 challenge race car, extensive use of carbon fiber to reduce weight, and improved aerodynamics which help to create additional downforce. This 2020 example boasts an original MSRP of over $390k and highlights factory suspension lifters, two-tone stripes, an integrated audio system, and an AFS lighting system. Having covered just over 200 miles from new, this 488 is now being offered by its seller out of Florida.

This 488’s exterior has been appointed in Rosso Corsa with two-tone racing stripes in Argento Nurburgring and Nero.  The Pista features a revised front-end design with a massive channel in the front hood, combined with underbody and rear diffusers, and repositioned air intake tunnels, to create up to 20% more downforce than the 488 GTB. The Pista also comes in at nearly 200lbs lighter than the 488 GTB due to the use of carbon fiber on the hood, bumpers, and rear spoiler. Additional Factory equipped options on this Pista include Black Ceramic exhaust pipes, the Adaptive Front Lighting System, and parking cameras. Optional Red-painted brake calipers show through a set of 20” wheels which come dressed in a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Inside, the cabin of this Pista comes trimmed in Nero Alcantara, and highlights a pair of Carbon Fibre Racing Seats with Cavallino Stitched Headrests. Carbon Fiber and Alcantara are used throughout the cabin of the Pista in order to further reduce weight, and this example comes optioned with contrasting Rosso Corsa details on the shift paddles and steering wheel. Additional amenities include a yellow rev-counter, a Radio Navigation System with Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated audio system, and a Manettino steering wheel.

This 488 Pista is powered by a 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 engine which generates up to 710 hp at 8,000 rpm thanks to the use of new camshafts, a larger intercooler, strengthened pistons, titanium connecting rods, and Inconel exhaust manifolds borrowed from the 488 Challenge. The rear wheels are driven by a revised 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which allows for shifts in as little as 30 milliseconds when the driver enters race mode. These modifications enable the 488 Pista to accelerate 0–62 mph in 2.85 on to a top speed of 225 mph according to Ferrari. The Pista also incorporates a Side-slip Angle Control system having an E-Diff3, F-Trac, and magnetorheological suspension to improve handling at high speeds. This example comes equipped with the optional front axle lift system, allowing the driver to automatically raise the nose of the vehicle in order to help clear obstacles.
