The ultimate high-performance version of Ferrari’s 488 supercar, the Pista showcases extensive use of lightweight materials, race-inspired aerodynamics, and a host of electronic innovations to provide an unprecedented level of performance. Equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.9L V8 producing up to 710 HP, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a magnetorheological active suspension, and active aerodynamics, the 488 Pista was designed to dominate at the racetrack using cutting-edge motorsport-inspired technology. This 2020 example was ordered in Nero over a Nero/Bordeaux Alcantara interior and was delivered new to The Collection of Coral Gables, Florida. It was additionally optioned with a two-tone racing livery in Grigio Ferro and Rosso Mugello, Silverstone Grey brake calipers, carbon fiber aerodynamics, black tailpipes, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, navigation with Bluetooth, front and rear parking cameras, an aluminum rev counter, and large-sized carbon fiber racing seats with lifters. Remaining under the coverage of its factory warranty until the end of October, this 488 Pista is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Florida, showing just over 1k miles on the odometer.

The exterior is finished in Nero (1250 DS) with an optional two-tone racing livery stripe with Grigio Ferro external stripes and a Rosso Mugello center stripe. Thanks to the extensive use of lightweight aluminum, titanium, and carbon fiber, the Pista weighs almost 200 lbs. less than the standard 488 GTB, giving the Pista the lowest power-to-weight ratio of any production car in Ferrari history, and its redesigned aerodynamics help to provide over 20% more downforce than the regular model. Optional equipment includes carbon fiber front flaps, carbon fiber side air splitters, carbon fiber front air vents, carbon fiber rear molding, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, black ceramic exhaust tips, and Silverstone grey brake calipers. The seller reports that upon delivery of the vehicle, the entire body has received the application of paint protection film, ceramic coating, Scrape Armor front fascia protection, and ceramic window tint on the windshield and side windows. The forged 20” wheels wear optional carbon fiber Ferrari center caps and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

The interior features large-sized carbon fiber racing seats with optional seat lifters, upholstered in Bordeaux Alcantara with Nero leather striping, Nero contrast stitching, Nero fabric inserts, and Charcoal Cavallino badges embroidered in the headrests. The upper dash, headliner, and center console are covered in Nero Alcantara, while the lower dash, upper door panels, and grab handles are wrapped in Bordeaux Alcantara. The door panels are constructed from carbon fiber, with carbon fiber trim around the driver’s zone and steering wheel and optional carbon fiber Ferrari-branded door sills. Driver amenities include a radio and navigation system with Bluetooth connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking cameras, power side mirrors, a Homelink garage door opener, an optional aluminum-faced 10k-RPM tachometer, dual digital displays in the instrument cluster, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with LED shift lights, the Mannetino driving mode selector, and carbon fiber paddle shifters. A plaque affixed to the front trunk indicates the color scheme and optional equipment.

The 488 Pista is equipped with a reworked 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 producing up to 710 HP at 8,000 RPM, using revised camshafts, a larger intercooler, strengthened pistons, titanium connecting rods, and thin-walled Inconel exhaust manifolds borrowed from the 488 Challenge race car.  The rear wheels are driven by a 7-speed dual-clutch F1 transmission and an e-diff electronic limited-slip differential, which allows for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in 2.8 seconds and a claimed top speed of 225 MPH. Performance features include the Side-Slip Angle Control system, Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer traction control, CCM3 Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, and an SCM-E magnetorheological active suspension. The CARFAX report shows a history of maintenance at the selling dealership, and a maintenance inspection performed by The Collection in February of 2022 confirmed all service is up to date. The original warranty covers this 488 Pista until the end of October 2022.
