Debuted as the high-performance model of the Mercedes-AMG GT, the GT-R was introduced in 2016 featuring a hand-built 577 HP V8 engine, four-wheel steering, active aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and extensive use of lightweight materials. This 2020 example was ordered in the GT-R exclusive matte color of Green Hell Magno over a Black Nappa leather/Dinamica interior with yellow contrast stitching and was optioned with AMG matte carbon-fiber interior trim, AMG illuminated door sills, a matte carbon fiber crossbar, yellow safety belts, and a fitted indoor car cover. Having covered just over 20 miles since new, this 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT-R is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Texas.
The exterior is finished in Nurburgring-inspirited Green Hell Magno (376U) paint, an exclusive matte color selected at an additional cost of $9,900. The aerodynamics of the GT-R are influenced by the AMG GT3 race car and feature a carbon fiber rear wing, front fenders, roof panel, and mirrors as well as a finned carbon fiber diffuser, an electronically controlled front splitter, and active front grille shutters. Other details include LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist, LED taillights, front fender vents, a central exhaust outlet, and gold-finished AMG carbon-ceramic brake calipers with cross-drilled rotors. The 19”/20” forged AMG wheels come factory mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
The cabin is trimmed in black Nappa leather and Dinamica microsuede upholstery with yellow contrast stitching and AMG Performance seats with Dinamica inserts, memory settings, and optional yellow seatbelts. Dinamica upholstery extends to the center console, dashboard, door panels, headliner, and the AMG flat-bottomed steering wheel. Optional matte carbon-fiber trim also lines the door panels, center console, central dashboard vents, and crossbar behind the front seats. Amenities include the Keyless-Go entry system, Distronic adaptive cruise control, power-adjustable interior and exterior mirrors with auto-dimming, automatic lane recognition, lane-keeping assist, and the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System. Additional features consist of front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view parking camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an 8.4” Mercedes COMAND infotainment system.
The AMG GT-R is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0L M178 V8 equipped rated at 577 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a 7-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission, a lightweight carbon-composite driveshaft, and an electronically-controlled limited-slip differential. Acceleration from 0 to 60 MPH occurs in just 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 198 MPH. Performance features include rear-wheel steering, an adjustable coilover suspension system with AMG Ride Control, and AMG carbon-ceramic brakes.

@Jaugustine3993 The grills are most definitely silver. But it’s really a billet cover and the insignia is ingraved.

@md717 Ty. There are 2 different versions of the Burmester system (AFAIK). The base system which has black plastic grills and the “3D” version w extra power and more speakers with silver grills. Could you tell me what color the grills are? Not a huge determinant to the final value of the car and I feel bit silly even asking about it .

it would be nice to know if the car was actually repossessed and then sold through the dealer network. I ran the vin through the Manheim site and its not reporting it was ever in their network. the car does give me the wobblies. being a total porch guy I would sure like to see what she's got.

@md717 Ty sir. Re the window sticker- actually a picture of either of the inside door panels will tell me what I want to know. Namely which of the audio system optioms the car is equipped with.
@Jaugustine3993 The car has really never been driven it only has 20 miles on it so there is no record of any service done to it. This car was in a private collection of one of the VPs of Domino’s Pizza . I hope that gives you a better description of where this car is been since it was sold originally

Very nice. Couple of questions.
It looks like the car was repossessed after a week of ownership and was bought at dealer auction by the current owner last spring. Has it been serviced? Do you have the window sticker? Do you have any color as to how you came by the car and what it has been up to since 3/21? I’d love to own one of these and am trying to get comfortable with this one. Thx and glwa!
