Unveiled as McLaren’s newest Super Series Longtail model in 2020, the 765LT is a track-focused version of the McLaren 720S featuring a revised twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 755 HP, lowered suspension with an upgraded Proactive Chassis Control system, a full titanium exhaust, and unique aerodynamic bodywork producing 25% more downforce. This 2021 example is one of 765 produced in total and comes finished in White over a Carbon Black Alcantara interior. At an original MSRP of over $396k, it was optioned with the MSO Black Pack, the Stealth Pack, MSO Contrast Stitching, gloss black laser-etched wheels, carbon fiber interior trim, heated electric memory seats, a 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a vehicle lift system, 360-degree Park Assist, and more. It was acquired by the seller, its second owner, from McLaren of Newport Beach as a CPO vehicle with less than 300 miles and is now being offered for auction out of California while showing just over 2k miles on the odometer and remaining covered under warranty.
The 765LT uses McLaren’s MonoCage II carbon fiber monocoque chassis and can be distinguished from a standard 720S by its louvered front fenders, longer active rear wing element, a larger front splitter, and a quad-tip titanium exhaust system. This example is finished in White and features the optional MSO Black Pack, Stealth Pack, and front fender louvers in gloss black. Optional black brake calipers with machined logos are mounted behind 19”/20” lightweight forged wheels in a gloss black laser-etched finish. The car rides on original Pirelli Trofeo R tires. The seller adds that the car has always been garage-kept and remains in excellent overall condition.
The cabin is appointed with Carbon Black Alcantara upholstery accented by optional MSO Contrast Stitching, matte carbon fiber trim, and carbon fiber sill panels. Other options include heated electric memory seats, an electric steering column, a 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, 360-degree Park Assist, parking sensors, a rear parking camera, and a vehicle lift system that provides extra clearance when needed. The driver is also provided with USB charging ports, a folding driver display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a portrait screen infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth.
Power is derived from a specially tuned version of McLaren’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 M840T engine featuring forged aluminum pistons, a high-capacity fuel pump, stiffer mounts, and triple-layer head gaskets borrowed from the McLaren Senna. A 7-speed Graziano dual-clutch automatic transmission sends up to 755 HP and 590 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels allowing the 765LT to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of over 200 MPH. It rides 5mm lower than a 720S and features lightweight springs with secondary helper units along with an upgraded Proactive Chassis Control system. Carbon ceramic disc brakes are equipped as standard. The seller adds that a warranty remains in effect for approximately 2 more years.
