In November of 2020, the AMG GT Black Series became the fastest road-going production vehicle to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife using a handbuilt 4.0L Biturbo V8 producing up to 720 HP, aggressive aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and adjustable track-focused suspension. This 2021 example was ordered in the premium debut color of AMG Magma Beam Orange over a Black Exclusive Nappa leather interior with orange contrast stitching. It was optioned with the Lane Tracking Package, Keyless-Go keyless entry, AMG illuminated door sill panels, a matte carbon fiber crossbar, the Burmester High-End Surround Sound System, and a fitted indoor car cover. Showing less than 100 miles driven since new, this AMG GTR Black Series is now being offered at auction by the seller located in California.
The exclusive color of AMG Magma Beam Orange (959) was selected at a cost of $9,900. The roof and rear hatch are comprised of carbon fiber, and along with a lightweight laminated front windshield, helps to shed around 77 lbs. from the standard AMG GT. The Black Series active aerodynamic package includes a larger radiator air inlet, a 2-way adjustable carbon fiber front spoiler, additional carbon fiber splitters on the front bumper, a vented carbon fiber hood and vented carbon fiber fenders, a carbon fiber finned rear diffuser, flat carbon fiber underbody panels, and a two-stage carbon fiber rear spoiler. The 19”/20” AMG forged 10-spoke wheels are mounted with extreme-performance Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R MO tires.
The cockpit is trimmed in Black Exclusive Nappa leather with DINAMICA suede accents and orange contrast stitching throughout the seats, center console, door panels, dashboard, and headliner. Matte AMG carbon-fiber trim adorns the center console and center vents, with an optional matte carbon-fiber crossbar sitting behind the driver and passenger and illuminated AMG matte carbon fiber door sill plates. Amenities include a 10.3” central touchscreen display with Mercedes COMAND navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Sirius XM satellite radio, an optional Burmester 10-speaker surround sound system with a 640-watt 10-channel digital amplifier, a suede-wrapped flat-bottomed AMG Performance multi-function steering wheel, a 12.3” digital gauge cluster with AMG-specific displays, front and rearview cameras, and Parktronic parking sensors.
The AMG GT Black Series is powered by a handbuilt M178 LS2 4.0L Biturbo V8 featuring dry-sump lubrication, a flat-plane crankshaft, upgraded camshafts, exhaust manifolds, and larger turbocharger compressor wheels than the standard AMG GT. As much as 720 HP and 590 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a revised AMG SpeedShift 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with a coiled carbon-fiber active transmission mount, a carbon-fiber driveshaft, a carbon-fiber torque tube, and an electronic AMG limited-slip differential. The GT Black Series can accelerate from 0-60 in around 3 seconds with a claimed top speed of 202 MPH. Performance features include an AMG Ride Control coilover suspension with 3-stage adjustable dampening, front and rear camber adjustment, an adjustable carbon fiber front sway bar, and the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT system.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a special indoor car cover, a battery charger, and a clean title.
