Representing the sixth generation of BMWs M5 sports sedan, the F90 was the first M5 to use BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system and offers well over 600 HP from a twin-turbocharged V8 engine when equipped with the Competition Package. This 2022 example was ordered in Brand Hatch Grey Metallic over a Black Full Merino leather interior and was optioned with the Competition Package, the Driver Assistance Pro Package, the Executive Package, and the Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Showing just over 8k miles on the odometer, this M5 Competition is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Wisconsin.
This M5 was ordered in Brands Hatch Grey Metallic (C17) with extended high-gloss black Shadowline trim, Shadowline LED adaptive headlights and M-Compound red brake calipers. Unique M5-specific styling includes widened aluminum fenders, revised bumpers, and black-finished quad exhaust tips. The 20” Style 706M M double-spoke gloss black wheels come factory mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The seller reports that paint protection film has been applied to the front bumper, rear bumper, and mirror housings, and notes some peeling of the PPF on the rear bumper. The cabin is appointed with optional Black Merino full leather upholstery covering the dashboard, center console, door panels, and glove box lid. The 20-way adjustable multifunction seats feature heating, cooling, and massage functions along with illuminated M5 badging in the headrests and M tri-color seatbelts. Aluminum Dark Structure trim spans the dashboard, center console, and door panels, while the headliner is trimmed in Anthracite Alcantara suede. The optional Executive Package equips soft-close automatic doors, a power rear sunshade and rear side window shades, Parking Assistant Plus with the 3D Surround View camera system, Active Park Distance Control, and the Driver Recorder. The Driving Assistant Plus adds Active Cruise Control, Active Lane Keeping, Traffic-Jam Assistant, and Cross-Traffic Alert Front as well as Evasion Aid and Side Collision Avoidance. The optional Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system consists of 16 speakers with 464 watts of power. Standard amenities include Comfort Access keyless entry, a power tailgate, a heads-up display, navigation with Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information, BMW Gesture Control, Apple CarPlay, and 4-zone automatic climate control.
The M5 Competition is powered by a 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8 engine rated at 617 HP and 553 lb.-ft of torque. An 8-speed ZF M-Steptronic automatic transmission with an Active M Differential sends power through BMW’s M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and offers three driving modes including a rear-wheel-drive option. The Competition model can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in approximately 3 seconds with an electronically governed top speed of 155 MPH. Compared to a standard M5, the Competition is also equipped with stiffer engine mounts, firmer springs and dampers, heavy-duty front sway bar mounts, and a thickened rear sway bar. The F90’s M Drive system allows the driver to optimize the vehicle’s driving characteristics with two red buttons on either side of the steering wheel controlling the dynamic dampers, throttle response, transmission modes, and M-Sport exhaust system. An oil change and multi-point inspection have been performed by the seller in anticipation of the sale.

I love that this has the class black interior and not a nutty color that you are seeing so often these days! These M5 competitions are a beast! When was the official In service date for the warranty? Also I would think the paint firm would still be under warranty?
