Based on the G30 5-Series executive car, the F90 M5 is BMW’s flagship sports sedan equipped with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine and a variable xDrive configuration that offers both all-wheel and rear-wheel drive modes. The M5 CS model debuted for the 2022 model year as the most powerful production BMW ever built. The ultimate high-performance version of the M5, the CS variant features a more powerful engine than the standard M5 as well as special carbon body panels, lightweight bucket seats, carbon-ceramic brakes, forged 20” wheels, and a retuned suspension. This example is finished in Frozen Brands Hatch Grey Metallic over a Black Merino leather and Alcantara interior. It was purchased by the seller, its second owner, in March 2023 with less than 100 miles and has since been completely wrapped in paint protection film along with the installation of catalytic converter delete pipes, a BMW M Performance titanium exhaust system, Dinan coilover sleeves, and staggered wheel spacers. Currently showing approximately 1,300 miles on the odometer, this M5 CS is now being offered for auction out of New Jersey.
The M5 CS makes extensive use of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) bodywork including the vented hood, roof, front splitter, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler. It is visually distinguished by a special Gold Bronze finish applied to the kidney grille surround, badging, and 20" Style 789M forged light-alloy wheels. The CS also comes standard with red M carbon-ceramic brake calipers, high-gloss black Shadowline exterior trim, and adaptive full LED headlights with illuminated yellow surrounds as a tribute to BMW’s racing history. This example is finished in Frozen Brands Hatch Grey Metallic and is protected by full exterior paint and windshield protection film. The upgraded titanium exhaust features carbon fiber tips and the wheels are paired with 10mm spacers in front and 12mm spacers in the rear. The car rides on original Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The seller adds that the car has always been garage-kept and has never been driven in the rain. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Trimmed in Black Merino leather and Alcantara upholstery with Mugello Red accents and contrast stitching, the cabin is configured in a 2+2 layout with lightweight carbon bucket seats in front and individual bucket seats in the rear. The CS model receives a lightweight Merino leather center console with Mugello Red double-stitching, an M Alcantara steering wheel with a Mugello Red 12’oclock marking and red-trimmed carbon-fiber shift paddles, an Alcantara headliner, red “CS” badging on the instrument panel and between the rear bucket seats, M seatbelts with tri-color stitching, M5-badged velour floor mats with bespoke piping, and illuminated “M5 CS” icons on the door sill finishers. It is also equipped as standard with remote engine start, Comfort Access keyless entry, 4-zone climate control, Park Distance Control, heads-up display, Active Driving Assistant, Live Cockpit Professional with iDrive 7.0, navigation, dual 12.3' digital screens, and a Harman/Kardon surround sound system. The seller notes the front seats have custom bolster covers installed and the rear seats have never been used.
Decorated with an M Power carbon fiber cover, the M5 CS is powered by a twin-turbocharged S63B44T4 4.4-liter V8 engine producing up to 627 HP and 553 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through an 8-speed M Sport automatic transmission with an Active M limited-slip differential. The M5 can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of 190 MPH. The rear-biased M xDrive all-wheel-drive system distributes the available torque between the front and rear axles via an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch, while the Active M Differential further optimizes power between the rear wheels for maximum grip and lateral dynamics. The CS also receives model-specific spring and Dynamic Damper Control turning, M carbon-ceramic brakes, an M Sport Exhaust system, increased front negative camber, firmer springs and rear anti-roll bar, stiffened engine mounts, toe-link ball joint mounts, and Track Mode, which allows the driver to disable most of the electronic assists. The seller notes Dinan coilover covers have been installed along with primary and secondary catalytic converter bypasses, an O2 sensor fowler, and a BMW M Performance titanium exhaust system. The seller adds that the primary catalytic converters can be easily reinstalled upon the next owner’s request at no extra cost. The car remains under the coverage of its original 5-year/50k-mile warranty.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, and a clean title.
