A homage to one of the most iconic racing liveries, this 2022 Porsche 992 GT3 was ordered in the Paint to Sample color of Gulf Blue with Sonderwunsch contrasting orange stripes, stitching, and painted wheels. It features a 6-speed GT Sport manual transmission, ceramic brakes (PCCB), a carbon fiber roof, extended interior trim in matte carbon fiber, the Front Axle Lift System, LED-Matrix Design headlights in Black, Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, the Chrono Package, and more. This specially commissioned GT3 has been driven less than 6k miles and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas while remaining covered under the original factory warranty.

This GT3 was ordered in the Paint to Sample color of Gulf Blue, a historic Porsche color derived from the iconic John Wyer-Gulf Racing Porsche 917s that raced in the 1970s and were featured in the Steve McQueen film "Le Mans." It features a contrasting Motorsport top stripe, “PORSCHE” side logo decals, and 20”/21” GT3 center-lock wheels in orange as Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) options. Other options include an exposed carbon fiber roof, ceramic brake calipers in yellow, LED-Matrix Design headlights in Black, Exclusive Design taillights, and Exclusive Design fuel cap, and rear ParkAssist sensors. The seller notes the full exterior is preserved under a layer of clear paint protection film which shows a few very minor imperfections from road-going wear. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this GT3 features Black leather and Race-Tex upholstery complemented by extended matte carbon fiber trim and Sonderwunsch deviated orange stitching. Options include 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, sun visors in Race-Tex, a center console lid in Race-Tex with an embossed Porsche crest, Ambient Lighting, pedals & footrest in aluminum, auto-dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor, the BOSE Surround Sound System, under-door puddle light projectors, and a Chrono Package lap timer mounted on the dashboard. Some slight wear is noted on the driver’s seat bolster.

This GT3 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine featuring six individual throttle bodies and an output of up to 502 HP and 346 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed GT Sport manual transmission. It comes optioned with an extended-range fuel tank (23.7 gal), the Front Axle Lift System, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). Standard performance features include rear-axle steering, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). The seller indicates that annual services have been kept up to date and the original factory warranty remains in effect for approximately 26 months or 44k miles.

This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “The 992 GT3 is already special but paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and Paint-To-Sample Gulf Blue makes it exceptional! This GT3 features Sonderwunsch Factory Commissioning (Special Wishes) including the Orange wheels, stripes, and stitching on the interior. Several fantastic options included are the Front Axle Lift, Carbon Fiber Roof, PCCBs, 23.7 Gallon Fuel tank, and BOSE Surround Sound System, as well as 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus. The list goes on for options on this 992 GT3! Needless to say, this GT3 is one of a kind!”

@BarryLe we appreciate that! There’s always room for a Porsche like this!

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@MCCOYAutoBrokers thank you for the feedback. We agree!

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

AlphaOneMotors: This is the best Porsche I have seen on Pcarmarket in several years. I wish I had an additional garage space for it. GLWTA.

  • MCCOYAutoBrokers (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

Nice car. There's some talk about the vehicle being tracked, I would say unlikely. Neither the front or rear aero adjustments have been touched(still in the street position). Most people would set these up prior to going out. Also, there's none of the typical rubber debris on the undercarriage. Going to be a fun car for someone!

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@marv800 We need to clear up what operating hours means. Operating hours means the total run time of the engine since its first start. It does not equate to miles, it equates to engine run time. It does not state 9000 hours of overspeed, It states the last ignition in range 1 happened AT hour 9072.

We disagree that the Matco tool is wonky, it is the same data.

  • marv800 (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

@AlphaOneMotors i understand this. I’m just saying that the DME data doesn’t make sense. For example 9000 operating hours to travel 5,500 miles averages just over .6 mph. And that supposedly all in range 1. Which I believe is the upper limit of the normal rev range. That’s why I asked if it had traveled a half a mile an hour at close to redline. Because that’s what the wonky DME reports. Can yall plug in a PIWIS and run a VAL?

They’re simply no way that car ran for 9000 hours in red range one, over 1,300,000 miles.

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@marv800 Those ranges don't indicate vehicle speed, they represent a range of engine speed. It is a 1,000 ignitions over the vehicles life with the last occurrence being at a 9000 operating hours. It could have happened with free revving. Range 1 is up to just before redline. For example, hitting the rev limiter for 1 second would represent 133 ignition occurrences. New cars arrive at dealerships often with over 100 ignitions with delivery miles. Range 1 is totally normal, Range 2 is when you have mechanical over revving.

We use a Matco scan tool that gives us the vehicle health report.

Bidders, our technician is a 16 year Porsche Gold Meister Technician. If you have further question, please hit contact seller and we will forward those directly to him.

  • marv800 (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

Help me with the DME. Why does it indicate 1,000 ignitions at 9000 operating hours. Was it driven around at ,5 mph at close to redline?

Was this report pulled from a VAL?

I’m not saying it’s a bad car at all, but the data doesn’t make sense to me.

@marv800 @marv800 the report was generated on 10/27. The miles stored within the DME are 5596.33. When the tester grabs the report from the DME, the DME tries to report engines hours and miles at the same time which causes glitching to happen. But the stored miles is 5596. We are uploading DME mileage report with the stored values. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@alljap the video of possibly this car rolling at near idle speed makes it appear to you as having a rough life span? This car was driven like any GT3 should be. There is normal wear but NO signs of light/ heavy or major track use. Bidders, please bid with confidence.

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@karuamg we have not taken this car to any track days during our ownership. Obviously we can not be sure if it was before our ownership. Either way, these cars are built for this so if it was present at a track day it the car does not show any signs of being a track car.

  • marv800 (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

Question; when was the DME report generated? For some reason, it appears that the mileage was 1.3 million miles. Obviously, this isn’t correct?

  • karuamg 6 months, 1 weekago

Is the car pictured in this auction the same car I see on the Track in this Instagram post:

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@aptdr thank you for the questions.
The nicks in the PPF appear to be just in the PPF. It does not look like any of them have gone through to the paint, the PPF is doing its job. The rear driver inside wheel, yes that is a chip on the inside lip. The carbon fiber roof, it is an edge of the PPF that is just beginning to rise, the roof does appear to have any damage, just the PPF lifting a minor amount. We are working on that price for the diffuser and hope to have the answer tomorrow for the diffuser. Other than what has been mentioned, we do not see any other items of concern.

  • aptdr (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

Just saw that you had uploaded the DME report and photos of front plastic lip; thank you. A few other things... I believe you were going to get a price on replacing either the diffuser, or if possible, the damaged slats, is that still possible? Regarding the photos you uploaded of the nicks in the PPF, are any of the chips through to the paint, or have they only damaged the PPF? In the photo of the inside of the driver's rear wheel, it looks like there are chips in the rim, is this the case? On the carbon fiber roof, is the damage limited to the clear resin only or is the carbon fiber mat affected. Can you please confirm that everything else on the car other than the above or what has already been mentioned by you in the listing (driver's seat bolster wear) are the only things of concern? Thanks again.

@alljap your comment was removed. Please understand our experience has shown many lose the opportunity to buy a vehicle because of the reserve guessing game
Sellers come here when they are most serious to sell. Please bid if you are a buyer and let the system work as intended

@aptdr - Car will have 2 keys, we have one on order and does have books. Will upload pictures of the books.
    - Nothing aftermarket except for the PPF
    - Very minor/light scraping. Will upload more pictures as well of the front lip

  • aptdr (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

-I also wanted to make sure the car comes with two keys and manuals; everything that originally came with the car is included.
-Is there anything aftermarket installed on the car?
-From the photo looking at the front of the car from slightly underneath and in front, it looks as if the lower lip of the car has been damaged/scraped. Can you confirm, and if so, take a more detailed photo or video?
    Thanks so much.

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@TargaKid17 we will be uploading the DME report this afternoon. We typically see track specific cars having the buckets. This car has the 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats.

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

We've thoroughly inspected this GT3 and see no evidence of track use.

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@mfstevenson7104 thank you so much for the feedback on this GT3! Shealea was mistaken about the second set of wheels for this one. This GT3 only came with the set of wheels on it.

  • OttoBozart (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

This one will stand out in a crowd and to the cop with the radar gun.

  • mfstevenson7104 (registered bidder) 6 months, 2 weeksago

I saw this car in person a couple weeks ago before the auction. It's an amazing spec (gulf blue is an amazing color) and IMO the car is in great condition though I assume it was tracked a few times given it had a separate set of wheels. I bought a car previously from this dealer on Pcarmarket and can vouch for the fact they only have top quality inventory (the Spyder I bought was impeccable)

  • TargaKid17 (registered bidder) 6 months, 2 weeksago

Looks like a track car. Interested to see DME.

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 2 weeksago

@JakeMacZ it is a very good spec! The picture of the window sticker is zoomed in so the options can clearly be read. We just uploaded a full picture of the entire window sticker.

  • JakeMacZ 6 months, 2 weeksago

Nice looking and spec'ed GT-3. But way too much "cop-bait". Why is the right hand bottom side of the Monroney sticker not visible? Is that intentional?

  • AlphaOneMotors (seller) 6 months, 2 weeksago

    @Alex4848 MSRP was $228,960

  • aptdr (registered bidder) 6 months, 2 weeksago

@aptdr - We have not priced out the diffuser. We can price that out if you would like.
    - We will upload the photos of the imperfections in the PPF.
    - We can get the DME Report
    - No nicks or scratches in the windshield
    - To the best of our knowledge there has been no paintwork/repainting.

-You had pointed out that the driver's bolster had some wear but I also noticed that the rear diffuser had some damage as well. Will this be replaced, or if not, do you know the cost to do so?
-You also mentioned there were some minor imperfections in the PPF; can you take a photo of them?
-Will you be able to provide a DME report for the car?
-Are there any nicks or scratches in the windshield?
-Has there been any repainting done on the car?
