@arokhsar Good morning. As per my previous post…
This auction is me selling my fathers Touring, unfortunately he cannot drive it due to a health issue that came up.

  • arokhsar (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Hi, why are you selling this car?

  • Fordgt (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@roketman, I’m a long time Ford GT owner as well. Never thought I would say this, but given the choice of which car to drive, I usually choose the 992 GT3 T. Obtaining parts for the Ford GT is becoming quite difficult.

  • Roketman 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Fordgt Obviously you’re a Ford GT fan. I own an 06 and a 2019. In my opinion, the 2006 is one of the greatest cars out here. But I do love my paces too! I just think that the current market pricing is crazy

  • BruceM911 1 year, 5 monthsago

Classic spec on this beautiful Touring. As others have said we are getting close to the last NA manual cars. I have had the opportunity of seeing this car in person and it is essentially a brand new car with PPF. Can never go wrong with White, a timeless color on a Porsche. The new GT3 is in my opinion the best new sports car money can buy. Good luck to the bidders!

  • FLPcar (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Fordgt @Skindoc. Thank you both for your enthusiasm toward the GT3 Touring.
This auction is me selling my fathers Touring, unfortunately he cannot drive it due to a health issue that came up.
I have my own 992 GT3 Touring manual and I love it; I also just received my GT4RS and will put miles and smiles on this weekend.

To be sure everyone knows… this Touring has BOTH keys (2 keys).

  • Skindoc (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

This is a beautiful car, checks just about every box IMHO. As a collector and a DE guy, it’s kind of a schizophrenic mentality regarding a driver, a track car, and an investment car.

As I read the description I’m thinking this GT3 touring is capable of being all things to virtually all Porsche pushers.

Factor in the fact that we are experiencing the last chapter of petrol power as the dawn of the age of EVs is upon us, and there are not that many years before we won’t have the opportunity to just go out and buy highly spec’d GT3 touring (or for that matter a GT3, RS, GT2, etc).

Life is short and you’re dead a long time.

I’m of the mentality that you never really own these level cars, you babysit them for the next owner.

I have absolutely no doubt that with proper care and feeding this GT3 T will only appreciate over the years. Once Porsche announces an end to production of the gasoline GT series, they will begin a steep appreciation curve.

I’m currently at SEMA in LVNV, and I see the enthusiasm for both current production and all years of vintage, amongst people of all generations.

If I had the bandwidth to add this particular GT3 T to the stable I would. GLWA

  • Skindoc (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Mercyhealth I agree on the key issue. Seems this comes up on a regular basis. As I’ve commented previously, many owners keep a key as a memento or trophy of their ownership time. I’ve learned this from friends who are dealers..they aren’t surprised when the owner at trade-in time suddenly can’t find the “spare” key!

With older cars you could literally drop by the hardware store and get a blank cut for a few dollars. With the newer cars, it’s a major hassle and expensive ($500+). And yes, misplace the only key and it’s an expensive paperweight!

  • Fordgt (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Beautiful car! Just purchased a new 992 GT3 Touring. Have had a number of 991.2 GT3’s to include a Touring. In my opinion the 992 is superior in a multitude of ways: Appearance-exterior and interior, turn in, cornering, exhaust note, steering, stability, etc. One of the best cars in the world!

@2ENF Good morning. Yes the car is available. I will be pleased to show the car to you. Please send a message to "CONTACT SELLER" with your number and we can set up the visit. Thank you.

Is this car available for viewing in South Florida (we're in FtL)?

  • FLPcar (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Mercyhealth Thank you for starting the bid and noting this. I will ask PCAR to add to this information.

  • Mercyhealth 1 year, 5 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $100,000

  • Mercyhealth (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@FLPcar Thank you I have a bit of a peeve about cars sold with only one key. In the 996 911 the cost of key replacement is over 500.00 all in. The two keys available for your stunning car should be mentioned in the write up. I will start the bidding good luck.

  • FLPcar (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Mercyhealth Good morning. I like your sense of humor. The car has two (keys). The one spare key in picture 82 and the other one is in the center console in pictures 58 & 62.

  • Mercyhealth (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Picture 82 shows one key. Does that mean the second key has been lost? If so what would the replacement cost be? Call me crazy (many have) have but if you only have one key for your car and lose it you are left with a 3000lb paper weight.

  • FLPcar (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago
