    I also have a 2022 Macan GTS as my daily driver and love it. I am a Porsche guy. The PCSB brakes are great and leave much less dust than my 911S which also have red calipers - the S features the larger red 340mm 6-piston standard versus the base 330mm 4-piston brakes. It's surprisingly fast in sport-plus mode (0-60 4.1 secs; 12.7 sec quarter-mile). It is small with a firm ride - not meant for families, but the trade-off is a vehicle that is much more 911-like in ride and handling than most of the rest of the Porsche product line. This is a nice one, especially at this price. The stories of mark-ups, backlog, and allocations are true. The GTS is the old Turbo rebadged, except the 2022 has a nice new front-end, rear diffuser, and a cleaned up dash and console (less buttons). Porsche also initially reduced the base price by $3K versus the old Turbo ($79.9K - the the sticker here) then recently bumped it to last year's Turbo price ($82.9K) , presumably due to demand. I also appreciate the PPF and ceramic treatment. Hope this helps.

  • alvarouribe1988 (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    @chong0 Good morning and thank you for the comment. Indeed I had to wait $10k over sticker and waited 9 months to get the car.

    A few comments-

    I use my 2022 macan gts as a daily driver. It's fantastic.

    -PCSB is mostly helpful to minimize brake dust. It is very effective. I have no idea what the upcharge will be compared to regular steel, uncoated rotors but the coating is effective and am very surprised how little brake dust there is.

    -macan is substantially smaller than a cayenne (and about 1k pounds lighter) so it is not a great family hauler especially with Littles

    Good luck with sale! 6 months ago dealers still wanted markup and a 6 month wait. Hopefully both parties will be happy!

    @finneytheJRT9 @johannes356 @seller
    So, lots of inaccurate brake caliper stuff here from the gallery so not much point me trying to set it straight…and it IS confusing, so I apologize for setting it off on the wrong direction by asking.
    The key point with Porsche brake caliper colors has historically been what they represent, very intentionally from Porsche, such that you know the type of brakes by the color in most cases. My question was actually more about the type of brakes and less about the color, but the color is a clue. Traditionally, Porsche has ordinary calipers on the standard level of each model and, for the turbos, they’d be red. This red was selected for GTS models when they came around since they were sportier and usually getting the turbo’s widebody and other upgrades. Same steel brake rotors (though sometimes larger) and simply red. Eventually, other colors arrived that actually do have meaning. Yellow means PCCB (Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes), which are a massive expensive upgrade (I’m thinking $8K+ typically…maybe more), are somewhat an expectation only on supercar-level cars, and are offered with track stresses in mind since they don’t fade with high use the way the standard brakes would. it’s expected that they last a very long time and they don’t have steel brake dust. That’s the yellow….PCCB… and I’d be quite surprised if this car for auction has them. There’s also a bright green Porsche uses with hybrids, and I know virtually nothing about that. Just VERY recently, Porsche came out with Porsche SURFACE Coated Brakes (PSCB)….and THAT is what’s standard on the Macan GTS and can be upgraded on the lower models. This is a very thin coating over a steel rotor and it’s a more modest upgrade billed as being in-between steel and carbon-ceramic, and they all-but eliminate brake dust. They started by offering this as white calipers (1-2 years, I believe). They NOW offer a black paint option on the PSCB, and I’d speculate this is what our auction car has…PSCB rather than PCCB (which would be yellow). Now, they MIGHT offer special order color paint on any of them if asked but they’ve been pretty clear in the past about what each color means and I’m not sure from the factory they would have wanted to create misdirection on this.
    However, any owner can of course paint your brakes any color you want :). Yes, I’d be in the group that favors this paint being done at the factory, branding then on top of the paint, etc.
    PSCB seem like a great innovation and, of course, there is still debate over what’s really best for most of us, driving around and not taking our SUVs or even 911s to the track, since the realities are very different on-track versus needs for those just driving around.
    Okay, that’s a bunch, but hoping to differentiate the brakes and the color thing. Hopefully @seller can simply confirm any questions but seems clear to me based on model type, build/sticker, etc.

    @artichoke For 2022 and up Porsche discontinued the Macan Turbo and now the GTS is the top of the line. The new GTS comes with the engine the Turbo had for 2021.

  • artichoke (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    @FinnytheJRT9 Thank you!!

  • FinnytheJRT9 (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    @alvarouribe1988 I agree with you that it coming from the factory that way is the best, however if you were to keep the Macan for an extended period of time and mileage which is what I generally do the paint on the calipers will deteriorate and it is a relatively easy fix to have them repainted. This a very nice Macan I certainly will be following the auction.

    @FinnytheJRT9 That's always an option but for some people (myself included), is better when it comes like that from factory. Thank you!!

  • FinnytheJRT9 (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    Just a comment on you Macan auction about the color of the calipers, I don’t know enough to know what color calipers come with which Macan model any given year but if you wanted to change the color have them professionally repainted?

  • johannes356 1 year, 4 monthsago

    @RipCity I believe starting with 2022 models the GTS came standard with the PCCB and it was an option to do red or white. So it is no longer the standard black caliper is Macan, yellow was Macan S, and red was GTS/Turbo with white reserved for PCCB.

    Great way to confirm is to run a quick build on the Porsche site and it should confirm the red option for PCCB.

    @RipCity Thank you so much.

  • RipCity (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    Thank you! All makes sense except I'm surprised no white calipers and my curiosity will have me poking around a bit on that.
    Ironically, I had the same thing happen. Bought wife a cayenne, parked in garage, found out pregnant with #3, immediately got minivan since, as you know, car seats take space, and I took over the cayenne I didn't need. These cars are good for two, not for three...just IMO. Your SQ7...much better :). Congrats. Thankfully I'm coming out the other side of that 20 year fog. Good luck to you in same.

  • alvarouribe1988 (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    @RipCity I forgot to answer to one of your questions and the answer is that as much as i like this car, is not big enough for me and my family. 9 months baby, 9 years old son, 13 years old daughter and wife. I ended up buying an Audi SQ7 2022.

  • alvarouribe1988 (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    @RipCity Good afternoon. Thank you for the question. As far as i know, in the Porsche macan gts, this is a standard feature, and the vehicle comes with red calipers as stardard option as well. Regaring the wheels, yes, this are the factory wheels and tires and lastly i am not a dealer. I just took some pictures after i did the ceramic pro, which was done at Ferrari of Miami.

  • RipCity (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    Hi @seller. I'm not a 2022 expert but wondering why you state this has PSCB but red calipers rather than the white that's designated for the PSCB feature?
    Please also confirm these are the OEM wheels that came on this car.
    Lastly...you note you're not a dealer then photos look like dealer garage. Can you say more about that and why selling so soon if not dealer? Thank you kindly, I appreciate your replies!

  • alvarouribe1988 (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    @artichoke Manufactures warranty good until May 22nd 2026 or 50k miles, whichever comes first. I am not a dealer so I would not be able to CPO the vehicle. Only Porsche franchised dealers are able to sell CPO vehicles. Thank you!!

  • artichoke (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    How much time and mileage remains on the warranty, and is it eligible for Porsche Pre-Owned extended warranty?

  • alvarouribe1988 (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    Good afternoon everyone,
    Very exited to have my car here at PCA. Please let me know any questions you might have and i will be happy to answer.
