This 2023 BMW M3 Edition 50 Jahre is one of 500 examples produced exclusively for the North American market to celebrate the 50th anniversary of BMW's performance-vehicle division, BMW M GmbH. All versions received M xDrive all-wheel drive and the Competition Package, Executive Package, and Parking Assistance Package. Production began in July 2022 and offered a limited selection of options along with several exclusive paint colors borrowed from BMW's Individual collection. Each paint option paid homage to a different generation of the BMW M3. This BMW M3 Edition 50 Jahre is finished in Technoviolet Metallic, a tribute to the second-generation BMW M3 (E36), over a black leather interior. It is now being offered for auction out of Utah while showing under 100 miles on the odometer.
Presented in Technoviolet Metallic paint, this BMW M3 Edition 50 Jahre is equipped from the factory with Adaptive LED headlights with Laserlight, M Shadowline headlights, and unique "50 Jahre" badging. Original 19"/20" Style 826M wheels in matte Orbit Grey are mounted ahead of optional carbon ceramic brakes with gold-painted calipers and M branding. Additional standard equipment includes a carbon fiber front splitter and rear spoiler, a carbon fiber roof, and a quad-exit exhaust trimmed in carbon fiber and titanium. This BMW M3 Edition 50 Jahre features Extended Black Merino Leather interior upholstery including lightweight M Carbon Bucket Seats, which save roughly 22 pounds over the standard sports seats. Additional interior features unique to the Edition 50 Jahre include special door sill trims, a "1/500" plaque on the cupholder cover, and M-colored stripes on the headrests. A curved display powered by BMW iDrive Operating System 8 provides amenities like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice commands, built-in navigation, and climate controls. A 12.3" digital gauge cluster behind the steering wheel provides instrumentation.
The 2023 M3 features a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine rated at 503 HP and 479 lb.-ft of torque. An automatic transmission and M Sport differential send power to all four wheels via the M xDrive system. In instrumented testing, the BMW M3 Edition 50 Jahre achieved a 0 to 60 MPH acceleration time of just 2.8 seconds. Standard features include part and full-time all-wheel-drive, a sport-tuned adaptive suspension, and an electro-mechanical limited slip differential. This vehicle remains under the 4-year/50k-mile factory warranty.
The sale will include a clean title. The owner adds that this vehicle is not currently eligible to be sold outside to buyers of the United States.
