Debuted at the 2022 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, the limited-edition BMW M4 CSL (Competition Sport Light) is the newest track-focused performance model and offers significant weight savings in addition to aggressive aerodynamics, M Carbon Ceramic Brakes, M Carbon Fiber Full Bucket Seats, and a more powerful twin-turbocharged engine producing nearly 550 HP. This 2023 example is finished in Frozen Brooklyn Grey Metallic over a Special Merino Full Leather interior and is now being offered for auction by its original owner out of Texas while showing just over 50 miles on the odometer.
The CSL features a lightweight carbon fiber hood, front splitter, rear diffuser, roof, and trunk lid with an integrated ducktail spoiler. The M Carbon Exterior Package comes standard along with M Shadowline lights, Shadowline exterior trim, high-gloss red brake calipers, commemorative BMW M 50 Years emblems, and special M headlights with colored icons. This example is finished in Frozen Brooklyn Grey Metallic paint with red accents on the roof and bonnet and rides on 19”/20” Style 827M wheels in black with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. The cabin is appointed with Special Merino Full Leather upholstery, Anthracite Alcantara headliner, carbon fiber trim, an M Alcantara steering wheel, and M Carbon Fiber Full Bucket Seats paired with tri-color M seatbelts. Other features include remote engine start, M Drive Professional, Comfort Access keyless entry, auto-dimming mirrors, Active Driving Assistant, Active Guard, Park Distance Control, Auto Climate Control, Connected Package Pro, wireless charging, iDrive Controller, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a SiriusXM satellite radio receiver, and Live Cockpit Pro including navigation.
A 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline-6 engine with VANOS and Valvetrionic variable valve control and high-precision direct fuel injection. Up to 543 HP and 479 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels by way of an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission with Drivelogic and an M Sport differential. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in as little as 3.3 seconds with a top speed of over 190 MPH. Standard performance features include M Carbon Ceramic Brakes with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and Cornering Brake Control (CBC) as well as Adaptive M Suspension, an M front-end strut brace, and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with M Dynamic Mode. The seller notes that the remainder of the manufacturer’s 7-year/100,000-mile warranty is in effect.
