@paulmlv It was showing on PCNA’s preowned search. The selling dealer has since pulled it. Typically auctions sites require that the vehicle not be for sale elsewhere during the auction.
Random question: why is this car not on the dealership website? This is the first time I see a dealership put a “new” car on an auction website. Anyone knows why?
seller....way to limit the number of bidders. And some people register in Montana for asset protection against ex-spouses, not just for tax reasons. I guess you wouldnt sell a car to a politician who registers in Delaware or other tax friendly states either?
This is an exceptional example! I forgot how well these T’s drive until I had the opportunity to drive one for the week. Wow! These have got to be one of the best sorts car values to hit the market. For those of you who know you know!
@Petrol_and_Cab - how would you recommend I credentialise myself as someone who understands tax law when asking a legitimate question regarding this bid in your infinite wisdom? I own a cabin in Montana where this car would be housed if I decide to bid. I pay Montana state property and other taxes. So why is it sad? I never register a car in a personal name for liability issues and have vehicles registered in 4 states where I own property - all in LLc’s formed in the states where the vehicles are housed. It’s a legitimate question.

I leased my Rubystar T that way (ONE CA payment, now Montana) ha ha.
I think it's stupid, but my CA AD went from "no Montana sales" to "Montana sales cash only, no lease or finance" AND sign a notarized letter saying "car won't enter CA for a year." WANT A HACK? lease w/ Porsche, take delivery, call Porsche finance and CHANGE to Montana. Only make ONE tax payment to CA. Ask me how I know X3. My CA Mercedes AD and my CA Range AD won't do "allocation" Cars to Montana (OEMs tracking out of state sales of cars w/ big MAPs) but WILL do "mass volume" cars to Montana. Most CA used dealers make you TRUCK it out, not drive it out, on a Montana bill of sale w/ Montana bill of lading.

Good for PB for refusing to sell to exporters and tax evaders. I'm tired of seeing our (US) cars end up abroad, which is hurting our market at home. We need more dealers like BP to put a stop to this BS.
Why no sale to another dealer. Afraid won’t get what you want and another dealer can sell it for more. No Montana sales ?? Why do you care where the money comes from. So strange !!
There are a number of Porsche dealers that will not sell to a Montana LLC. I know of 2 in Texas and at least 3 in CA. I'm guessing pressure from state taxation authorities or perhaps manufacturer at the regional level. I had to suck it up for an allocation car to "get" a build slot and promptly transferred to my family's LLC. It was BS but I got most of it back in other ways. Ugh

As a retired Ernst & Young Partner and CPA - can you explain why my legal entity, which is a Montana LLC can't buy this Porsche? I'm not aware of any legal restrictions that would impact a seller on what entity purchases a vehicle in an arms length transaction?
