This 2023 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS was custom-ordered in the Paint to Sample color of Stone Grey Metallic over a Black leather and Race-Tex interior with Arctic Grey stitching. It features the optional Weissach Package as well as 20” forged magnesium wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Front Axle Lift System, a 3D-printed Bodyform full bucket driver’s seat, the Chrono Package, LED headlights, illuminated carbon fiber door sills, and much more. The car was delivered new to its owner at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles and was subsequently transported via flatbed to a professional detailer for a full-exterior application of paint protection film. Showing just over 1k miles on the odometer, this GT4 RS is now being offered for auction by its owner out of California while remaining under factory warranty.

This GT4 RS is finished in the classic 1980s Porsche color of Stone Grey Metallic, a Paint to Sample option selected at an additional cost of over $13k. The car is equipped with the optional Weissach Package which adds an exposed carbon fiber front trunk lid, side air intakes and combustion air blades, exterior mirrors, and trim along the swan neck mounted rear wing, as well as Porsche lettering in Dark Silver atop the rear windshield and 935-style Titanium tailpipes. Other options include brake calipers in high-gloss black, LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+), and 20” 718 Cayman GT4 RS forged magnesium wheels in silver. The full exterior is preserved under XPEL paint protection film and the windshield is protected by a layer of ClearPlex film. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this GT4 RS features Black leather and Race-Tex upholstery accented by Arctic Grey stitching and seatbelts, matte carbon fiber trim, and door pull loops in optional Guards Red. Other options include a 3D-printed Bodyform full bucket driver’s seat (medium firmness), a fire extinguisher, a luggage net in the passenger footwell, the BOSE Surround Sound System, a smartphone compartment, auto-dimming mirrors, Voice Control, Chrono Package, and illuminated door sill guards in matte carbon fiber. The optional Weissach Package also adds exposed carbon fiber air box intakes with logos in silver, an upper section of the dashboard in Race-Tex, a Weissach Package insignia on the dashboard, and embroidered headrests on the full bucket seats.

The Cayman GT4 RS features a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine derived from the GT3 that delivers up to 493 HP and 332 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. This example is equipped with optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), PASM Sport Suspension (lowered 30mm), and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with a mechanically locking differential. The seller notes the factory’s engine break-in procedures were followed and most of the car’s mileage was accumulated on the toll roads of Orange County. The balance of the original factory warranty remains in effect.

This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, standard drivers seats cushions and a clean title (lien).

The seller would like you to know: Spectacular, highly optioned GT4 RS was spec'd as a "Keeper", in a PTS color from the past. My situation has changed.  Immediately after PECLA delivery, the car was flat-bedded by Mr C's to PFS Protective Film Solutions (Santa Ana) for an XPEL $8,000 clear FULL wrap and ClearPlex windshield film. Virtually all run-in miles accumulated on the toll roads of Orange County, CA. No pets, perfumes, or smoking/vaping/chewing in this car. Never driven on a track except after assembly in Stuttgart. Seller believes and adheres to factory-recommended RPM limits during the almost 1900-mile (3000 km) Run-in period. FM Sirius antenna was deleted. I have NEVER turned on the radio. Be my guest. BEWARE! GT cars are NOT date-night cruisers. The ride is STIFF. The cockpit sounds sensationally LOUD. Deep bucket seats are RIGID. Ingress & egress are challenging for many. Visit Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta or Los Angeles or Europe & Asia to sample the joys of this incredible street/track Porsche. The reserve will be easily met with enthusiasm.

A special tribute to the 718 cockpit material-choice team must be made. The exposed cockpit carbon fiber is satin finished without the glaring /glossy plastic finish "surrounds" found on the new 911 GT3RS for example. Job well done and appreciated. Full disclosure: At photoshoot, a tiny (Rock?) piercing at the front was noticed. It was re-wrapped by PFS. Photos were taken. Measurements of location were taken so that that tiny area can observed after the re-wrap. NO efforts were made to alter any perceptible blemish. The left front splitter has a small pit or rash as pictured. The left rear diffuser blade is scuffed underneath as pictured. For those not familiar with the challenges presented to drivers of vehicles with low aerodynamic front & rear devices... suffice it to say that sometimes you make instant decisions to avoid other cars hitting you, if you are creeping and crawling in approach & departure angle challenges...especially when you are not headed precisely straight up or downhill.”

This is a great PTS spec that is very difficult to find in todays market on a GT4RS since it has everything including PCCB's, Mag wheels and the rare/discontinued PDLS+ headlights. There was a large parts shortage in 2023 so most GT4RS's came delivered with the base headlights and only a very small amount of PTS cars actually received the nicer PDLS+ headlights. The PDLS(not +) headlights ended up being added for later MY23 allocations and MY24 but PDLS+ never came back. Once you look at a GT4RS with base headlights and one with PDLS+ it's hard to unsee how bad the base headlights make the 4RS look.

NOPE ! Check the VIN . This GT4 RS has never been offered anywhere by anyone.
The last public appearance was at South, OC, Orange County, cars and coffee in San Clemente at the outlet mall maybe on Mar 9 . I had a small yellow note on the dash as well as the window sticker. The note said it would be on PCarMarket
    Thanks for your interest .

It seems this 718 Cayman GT4 RS keeps showing up. Here and BaT, is it the same one 'Sample to Paint' that keeps making a turn around?

Oh GAWD… Not another lengthy diatribe…. Pcarmarket to the rescue :
    Just type in : GT4 RS …
    And hit search….
You don’t have to put in Porsche ..
You don’t have to put in 718 …
    T R Y I T !!!
    Thank you PCar Market !!!!
You can do your own valuation and value what you want… If paint color is the most important thing, or totally unimportant. GO FOR IT

Regarding comments by MaxD33: I agree 100% with you. Unfortunately, there is no appraisal currently shown in this auction. I submitted it on Tuesday & I believe I discussed it with PCarMarket Wednesday. I was pointing out To the Pcarmarket community ,that three items (wheels, tires, & engine compartment ) were graded , Very good and the reasons why.
CORRECTION: while in the boiler plate, the appraisal company talks about how the valuation process is done… and a multitude of variables . In my opinion , there is very little information to evaluate their opinions. Real estate appraisals show , In the appraisers opinion , properties are worth more or less because of definite items : location ,view, pool, roof, solar panels, Tesla power wall battery , number of garage stalls, quiet inner street ,cul-de-sac , gated community, lot size, distance from geologic situation’s like volcanoes…. The list goes on . The three comps that are shown in the appraisal of this car, DO give some limited data , but to me , insufficient to explain the valuation. The first comp at $246,400 March 2, 2024
    Shows the following info.
2023 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Weissach Package. Sold : Broad Arrow
    VIN ——- county,Florida, 2,794 mi, auto, LHD, Original & Highly Original…( I love that ) 1 photo, 3/4 Front view in color , from a headlight
Level perspective. I interpret , that it appears to be arctic gray with gold colored standard wheels with yellow calipers. Given enough time and inclination, I might see some other things but I really can’t tell if it has the optional headlights , front axel lift, and certainly can’t see what kind of seating or tell if it has an $8000 wrap. A picture of the window sticker would clear up a lot of things, but it’s just not in the comp information. This requires additional work for someone looking at these comps. This is where I see the comps as being without substantiation. I find that to be weak and lacking. The basic car is $149,000. Mine approaches $ 218 K including The PECLA, Delivery.
I see an area where Pcarmarket could add the MSRP in the empty area of the
    VEHICLE DETAILS ….under the Lot#
    MRSP USD $217,905
Now if we could get appraisers to also see the importance of this , we would be getting somewhere. Keep it simple for us.

@antenna-delete I would argue that vehicle appraisals are more accurate and relevant than property appraisals. I can't tell you the number of times I personally or someone I know has purchased a property and shortly after the roof leaks, or the foundation has a problem, or the plumbing breaks. Property appraisals are basically a formality to push the sale through, and just a fee or tax on the transactions. I have never seen a single property report that accurately details known or obvious problems. They basically take a perfunctory look, take a few photos, look at comps and say "ok, everything looks good."

An Auto Appraisal Network appraisal was conducted the day before the Snappr shoot. It was a first for me. 45 mins or less in duration. Grade Overall excellent. Exterior paint excellent. After I received the report, I questioned the "Very Good" Tires and wheels. For him, cars with miles, do NOT get excellent. He correctly added ,that he could not view the inner rim and barrel. It seems to me, in their "Boiler Plate", they could have a statement that only the exterior appearance was observed and graded. Look for yourself. Engine compartment graded "Very Good" because he could NOT observe it...For umpteen years they have NOT come up with a "Not observed" or "Unable" , box to check. Finally, the "comps" and valuation... The first one shown ( Broad Arrow) and highest sales price recently, appears to be Arctic Grey ($3+K extra) & Standard Wheels....without more info like PF ( protective film) ,
Seats,Lights,Lift....a window sticker or at least an MSRP would be helpful. Those of you acquainted with real property appraisals, might , like me, find this area to be weak and lacking . The methodology for valuation is a mystery unlike in real estate. Do your own due diligence. Thanks for listening !

Rock chip picture- As promised, we have just added a picture of the perforated Xpel wrap . It did it's job!
Pix is at the bottom , just above the words MARKET GRID. I discovered this flaw at a photo shoot BEFORE the Snappr shoot pix, that are featured . I spent $900 having a re-wrap of the front. NO PAINT WORK was done on the area. I pointed this out to the appraiser AFTER the re-wrap. He got VERY close to examine it. His remark was , with his trained eye he could see the imperfection .He gave the paint an excellent which he remarked, he rarely does.
Check pictures 22 & 23 about 7 inches towards the right (looking at the picture) driver side.

@Bergwerk Bergwerk - Great clarification and insight from someone who has both the 18 way and 918 4 way rigid buckets in the same GT4 series Porsche track oriented cars. Thank you for the positive comments.

Re: the 3D printed seats cushions. I have a nearly identical build in a different color. To be clear medium is the firmness not the size on the seat. You can velcro out the cushion for the original or a soft or firm very easily. I have a GT4 with 18 ways and the GT4RS with buckets and the medium cushion. Getting in and out sucks but I actually prefer the buckets for long duration drives and definitely the track. Absolutely beautiful 4RS and great listing. I cannot say enough things about how special the 4RS feels to drive - seller's listing really captures it perfectly.

Looking at the Monroney, the printed seats caught my eye, otherwise, I think you made all the right choices (I'd add leather to the steering column.)
I have a GT3 with the buckets and they are snug but great (the headrest can be a problem for helmets) but anyway, interesting to see what you get for a mere $3380.

  • DolceClassico (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

Gorgeous car and AMAZING photography. Well done. GLWTA!

  • antenna-delete (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

3D Printed inserts for the full buckets are offered in Soft , Medium , & Hard. Like everyone else, I had never seen them, sat in them, or read much about them. I guessed medium for my butt...good guess ! Before you buy a Porsche with these 918 buckets, I urge you to sit in them ....get in & out a few times. Coupes are more difficult than cabs & spiders to ingress/egress. Without a roof, you can "drop in". The 18 way seats fit more people.

  • flatcrank (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

This is the first I've seen with the bodyform printed seats. I'm no medium size!
Does Porsche offer any assistance in swapping to some normal buckets in XL? : )
