This 911 Dakar is now being offered for auction by its owner out of New York with under 100 miles showing on the odometer.

The 911 Dakar is equipped with stainless-steel underbody skid plates for off-road protection along with black wheel arch extensions and black side skirts with stainless-steel inlays. It borrows its carbon fiber hood from the 992 GT3 and features a unique fixed rear spoiler. This example is finished in GT Silver Metallic with an optional exposed carbon fiber roof, exterior mirrors in carbon fiber, window triangle trims in carbon fiber, and brake calipers in high-gloss black. The optional Exterior Package Painted in High-Gloss Black also applies to the mirror bases, window trims, and rear model logos. Standard equipment includes lightweight and noise-insulated glass, black Sport Exhaust tailpipes, LED-Matrix Design headlights in Black, and Fuchs-style 19”/20” 911 Dakar aluminum wheels dressed in Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain Plus tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, this 911 Dakar is appointed with Black leather and Race-Tex upholstery featuring extended deviated stitching, matte carbon fiber trim, and instrument dials in white. Other options include heated 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus with leather backrests and carbon fiber inlays, sun visors and steering column casing in leather, a center console lid in Race-Tex with Porsche crest, the Extended Race-Tex Package, bespoke illuminated door sills in matte carbon fiber, “911 Dakar” under-door puddle light projectors, a fire extinguisher, an ionizer, and a heated GT Sport steering wheel in Race-Tex with matte carbon fiber trim.

Up to 473 HP is sent to all four wheels from a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine and an 8-speed PDK transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in as little as 3.2 seconds. The 911 Dakar comes standard with a 50mm-raised Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) setup as well as a front and rear axle lift system, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), rear-axle steering, the Sport Chrono Package, Sport Exhaust System, a Turbo S cooling system, and an Off-Road driving mode. This example remains under the coverage of its original factory warranty.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, and the original window sticker.

@racedeck Everything is falling not just Dakar. You an swing a dead cat and hit a GT4RS at MSRP and GT3RS, the current Cars n Coffee flex, is also seeing the ADMs fall. That said have a look at 991R or Sport Classic prices - they seem pretty strong. And historic stuff, like 997.2RS, is only going up as folks realize the new stuff isn't as charismatic or interesting. My two cents.

  • racedeck (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@brownan - you're right, they 'might' get a premium but odds are they are not going to sustain a $100k over that you see on showroon floors all around the country today, 2500 is not that limited in the world of P cars. Being an offroad variant, they will surely improve this package in the future.. That said, if you want one today you will pay today's prices and yes, this silver color is more uncommon. These are already dropping in price from where they were just a few months ago and from the dealers who are calling me to try and sell they ones they have indicates to me that this trend will continue
@tarakid17 - I trust my source, he's been 100% correct on the last 4 cars that have come to market, well before being announced.. but who knows, you may know more ;)

  • TargaKid17 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@racedeck this is entirely untrue. The additional strain this would place on the assembly line, retrofitting “Dakar kits” on to standard production cars is unfathomable. These were all produced in batched runs (hence the corresponding releases to dealers all seeming to happen in waves). I’m sorry sir, but I think your source is sending you for a loop. Now, might they come out with a .2? Sure. That said, this will always be the ORIGINAL iteration and thus why I believe these will only appreciate in years to come.

Even if they continue to expand upon this concept, there’s only one first, and this is it.

  • brownan (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@racedeck I've been tracking sales in the US and have a PTS Dakar of my own so am biased and interested. Those couple of cars you mentioned are all serial production. Dakar has the benefit of being individually numbered. 2500 is not a small number. We'll end-up with around 750 in NA I believe, with the majority of those in Shade Green or Rally Design. I'm aware of only 13 GT Silver Dakar in NA and have tracked about 1/3rd of them so far. So that implies some number less than 50 all-in for GT Silver, relatively rare. To put in perspective there were originally 612 997.2 GT3RS in NA, so we're kind of in that neighborhood rarity-wise. They may well do a Dakar trim for "regular" cars much as they did Touring 991.2 after the R. I do believe these numbered Dakar will always have a premium to their MSRP...by how much, who knows.

  • racedeck (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@brownan - Yes, I am sure they can and have. It's no secret the 918 guys have been flipping like crazy and greedy dealers are marking up ADMS on anything they can. To date I have never paid over MSRP for any car ( GT3 touring, G63, GT4RS etc).. this could be the first...
On a side note - I have it on good source that Porsche will be offering the "dakar" option on non GT 911's in the future, which will change the market on these dramatically in the near future.

Winner will absolutely love this car. So fun to drive and endless attention.

  • PCARMARKET 1 month, 3 weeksago

@Ocatamo we aren’t restricting anything. He is a bidder on the car and he seems to have some issues so we feel sometimes a conversation could clear up any potential issues. Thank you.

  • CJWRacing33 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

I'd love to buy the vehicle either way if this TargaKid17 situation falls through. These are great cars and regardless of the seller's agreement not to flip or whatever...this is a big boy pants situation. When you buy a 250k car or the dealer makes you buy 5 cars so you can presumably get a 3RS or whatever...nobody has a gun to anyone's head.

  • Ocatamo (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@PCARMARKET Why restrict the information to one person in a phone call? Why not let everyone know what you are going to disclose? Wouldn’t that make it a more equitable auction? Even the SEC has regulations concerning selective disclosure.

  • PCARMARKET 1 month, 3 weeksago

@TargaKid17 as stated earlier sometimes there is more to a story than meets the eye, which is why making assumptions often leads to unnecessary aggravation. James from our office reached out as a courtesy to shed some light on the auction with you that would perhaps be helpful if you are intending to buy the car.

  • TargaKid17 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

I’m just not sure what a phone call will accomplish. The only thing I’m curious to know is the VIN, but if it must wait, so be it. None of these antics detract from the fact that this is an amazing car!

  • TargaKid17 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

My intention isn’t to sabotage the sale. Frankly, this is only bringing more attention to the car. I have every intention of following through with the purchase of the car, should I have the winning bid.

  • PCARMARKET 1 month, 3 weeksago

@TargaKid17 again if you would take our call, we would be happy to discuss. If you don’t want to, it’s certainly your right to do so, however, if a clear understanding is what you are seeking then you are impairing our ability to have the dialogue. We do kindly ask that this forum not be used to sabatoge the auction and if you do not have intent to buy the car, we would like to retract your bid.

  • TargaKid17 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@PCARMARKET I’m just not sure as to why he’d receive preferential treatment. I’m sure there have been many other sellers that would have appreciated the same courtesy.

  • PCARMARKET 1 month, 3 weeksago

@TargaKid17 we prefer to handle conversation without hostility and kindly ask you do the same. Our office took the time to give you a courtesy call to discuss the situation. We kindly ask that all involved take the high road as sometimes there is more to a situation than meets the eye. Thank you.

  • PCARMARKET 1 month, 3 weeksago

@Utahcraft @targakid17 the owner of the vehicle has no use for the car hence the sale. He took it as he made a commitment to buy several vehicles. He certainly is taking substantial losses on cars such as a Cayenne GT and some others so this is not being done for profit. We kindly ask that everyone not cause a stir on this for no reason other than to simply cause trouble. The winning bidder will be obligated to purchase the vehicle provided the seller has clear title and the carfax report matches the VIN. If anyone is not prepared to execute a sale DO NOT BID. Service fees are non refundable and sellers can take legal recourse against default buyers. We certainly don’t need to escalate a situation to a level that is not necessary.

  • TargaKid17 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@PCARMARKET it’s okay, I’ll find it soon enough.

  • PCARMARKET 1 month, 3 weeksago

    @TargaKid17 incorrect

  • Utahcraft (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@pcarmarket. You are purposefully hiding the VIN to assist the seller in avoiding possible retribution from PCNA for flipping this car contrary to a written agreement? You don’t have an ethical issue in doing that??? Wow.

  • muddymogriffin (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

Another 2024 Dakar was withdrawn from BAT earlier this month due to "paperwork irregularities." While not privy to any agreements between PCNA and the seller, I'd surely want some assurance that PCNA would not deem this as an unauthorized subsequent sale. What a car though!

  • TargaKid17 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@PCARMARKET also, I am very superstitious. If after successfully winning the auction, I do not like the numerical sequence of the VIN, I am allowed to cancel because it wasn’t disclosed ahead of time, correct?

  • TargaKid17 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@PCARMARKET do not call me. I am buying this car for the sole purpose of outing this “VIP”

  • PCARMARKET 1 month, 3 weeksago

@saswp Vin will be supplied to the winning bidder prior to consumating the purchase so that any due diligence can be performed. Due to the relationship with Porsche and the client, the VIN cannot be published on the listing. We would appreciate the cooperation and understanding of the bidders regardless of viewpoint. Thank you.

  • TargaKid17 1 month, 3 weeksago

Bid in the amount of $300,000

  • racedeck (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

The Vin should be listed for any potential buyer to research history or any incident.

  • Floormat (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@dodgersfanatic1 and @saswp, given the pic of the window sticker (with commission #) and the dealer's name on the Carfax, I think Porsche will know the owner regardless of VIN. So, I guess I agree; why not disclose the VIN?

  • saswp (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

@dodgersfanatic1 Probably to "protect" the seller from a PCNA or dealer blacklist.

  • dodgersfanatic1 (registered bidder) 1 month, 3 weeksago

Any reason we're not disclosing the VIN?
