Considered one of the greatest generations of BMW’s 3-Series model, the E46 version was introduced in 1998 and featured ideal 50/50 weight distribution, improved aluminum suspension components, a more rigid body shell, and BMW’s VANOS and Valvetronic variable valve control systems. This 2002 example is a post-facelift 325i sedan powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six engine paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. It comes finished in Steel Grey Metallic over a Black leatherette interior and is equipped with a glass sunroof, myrtle wood trim, automatic climate control, a multifunction steering wheel, Dynamic Stability Control, and a power driver’s seat with memory. This E46 was acquired by the seller from a dealer in New Jersey in August 2023 and has since been imported to Canada where it is now being offered for auction with just over 38k miles showing on the odometer.
The E46 was designed under the direction of Chris Bangle with an emphasis on aerodynamics and an aggressive stance. The 2002 model year included a facelift for the E46 with redesigned bumpers, headlights, taillights, front fenders, hood, and kidney grilles. This example is finished in Steel Grey Metallic with black body moldings and window surrounds. Equipment includes integrated front fog lights, power mirrors, a heated rear window, an electric glass sunroof, and aftermarket 19” BBS wheels that were installed under current ownership along with new Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires. The original 16” BMW Style 45 wheels are also included in the sale and come mounted with Continental ExtremeContact DWS all-season tires (1711). The car’s exterior is described to be in excellent overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black leatherette interior features myrtle wood trim and comes equipped with power-operated front seats with driver memory as well as automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, an onboard computer, and a HiFi speaker system paired with a BMW Business CD stereo. The seller notes the upholstery is torn on the passenger side door near the airbag. All gauges and accessories are said to remain fully functional.
This E46 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter M54B25 inline-six engine featuring VANOS and Valvetronic variable valve control. Up to 184 HP and 175 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. Some service records are included showing routine oil changes and the seller reports there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I purchased this vehicle on Aug 2023 and have installed a set of BBS 19" wheels. I have parked the car ever since I bought it. Put very few miles on it. This car is in excellent condition. Drives smoothly and the transmission shifts perfectly. No rust, dents, or scratches. The previous owner has taken great care. Fun to drive. Want to give it a new home because I need to make space for a family SUV and can no longer keep this car. Includes some noted oil changes in the service record with new Continental tires invoice purchased back in 2011 for the 16" style 45 BMW wheels.”

@skulig Seller told me they have checked and everything was fine. Mind you, this car has been very well cared for and mainly stored hence the mileage.
Has the subframe been inspected for cracking as this was an issue with E46's?

No ill will intended here, but the wheels are not genuine BBS, but an LM replica. No engravings on the face, and clearly a one piece wheel vs. a genuine 2 piece.
@vmrojo 1. Not sure what you mean by "rear tires run"? 2. Not sure if any work on VANOS was done. Previous dealer did not provide me with any service records aside from the oil changes completed in service manual.

@Rockster80 Hello , yes as stated in my auction original set of 4 X BMW 16" Style 45 rims with Continental tires comes with vehicle along with the BBS already installed.

Looks nice. Clean. A couple of questions. 1. Looks like the rear tires run, can you confirm? 2. Also was the VANOS system serviced. I recall there was something recommended to be done to them back in the day.
