Available for auction is a set of new old stock Porsche 964 America Roadster emblems. The seller states they were originally acquired when he purchased his 1993 Porsche America Roadster in PTS Ferrari Fly Yellow. He ended up selling the car and never installed the emblems. The emblems are still in their original packaging from Porsche and retain both part numbers (“America” – PNA 559 037 03 and “Roadster” – PNA 559 037 01). The seller notes a small hole in the plastic bag for the “America” emblem. The Porsche 964 America Roadster was a North America only vehicle produced in 1992 and 1993. Only 250 total units were made. The seller states these emblems are new old stock and are no longer available from Porsche. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.

I just made a shipping box out of some scrap luaun and some plywood strips all to be held together with small brads. There are also some sealed air strips to prevent the emblems from banging against the inside walls. Whomever wins: insert small flat blade screwdriver between luaun and plywood to pry the luaun from the plywood being careful not to let the blade of the screwdriver intrude into the cavity of the box.

I have sold nine cars and one motorcycle on an auction site which is very popular (not sure it is okay to mention the name), and I was a very engaged seller. Not much to say here-----but I am here to answer any questions. Bidders: I am happy to make a rigid box (plywood, luaun or similar) with a protected interior out of materials I have in my basement to ship. Shipping and insurance are costs of buyer however.

Hello PCAR community: I wonder why it has taken this long for me to place an auction on this site. I've owned 170+ cars including many air cooled 911s. I bought the America Roadster in 2004 from the second owner, I believe. I found the original owner's info somewhere in the car, or in the file I received. I contacted him and learned that he had "some parts" still for the car which he would be happy to part with for the right price. Turns out he had full carbon fiber bucket seats with FFY backs, some FFY seat belts, and these emblems that were not put on the car when he bought it new. We made a deal and a couple of weeks later I received two huge boxes with the seats in new condition and the other items I mentioned before. He also sent me about 20 pictures of the car he had taken when he bought it. Stupidly, I sold the car (12,000 miles rings a bell) just a few years later for a fraction of what it is worth today. The bags are still sealed, never opened-----hence the reason for noting the hole in the bag of one of the two emblems. These have been in my basement for 18 years so they've had no heat or cold exposure since I've had them. Although they've never been out of the packaging, they appear to me to be in new condition in every respect. I'll check in daily for questions.
